Upwork will send your money to your Payoneer balance. The card is just an intermediary with which to access the funds in your Payoneer account.

I keep it in Wise or sell to a friend for Naira when I need cash. Wise is like my bank, except I can create any bank account for any country and send to the people from there and the best part is Upworks to wise, is free I think and from wise outside 2 USD fee or less.

- Why did it take you so long to define copywriting?
- Who told you that copywriting is "selling products, marketing... with the power of words?"
- It was never a good idea to include "You know what I'm saying" and "I'm here for you guys."

Just remove the video; it flies in the face of the professionalism and expertise you're trying to portray.

Never try to wing it when you're shooting an important video. Prepare a good script first, and then practice, practice, practice! Finally, choose a good location to film. Ensure you set your phone down correctly so that the video doesn't shake.

Besides, I looked through your portfolio, and your copies are wordy, aggressive (the first one), erroneous, and unconvincing. A good copywriter must be convincing and persuasive and not sound like a snake oil salesperson.

Your rate is best left to your discretion. There are, however, some factors you can consider when deciding how much to charge clients seeking your services. Here are a few:

1. The niche you write in (Some niches pay higher than others).
2. Your experience in the field (The more you know, the more you can charge).
3. The quality and depth of your writing and your portfolios (Excellent portfolios can convince clients to pay you even double your regular rates).
4. The value you believe you'll bring to your clients.
5. The value you place on your service.
6. The rates of competitors in your niche.

For a start, consider these when setting your rate. If $15/h fits the bill for you, then good. If not, then it's time for a new rate.

Well done! Your profile is good — probably even the best one I've reviewed on NL so far — but it needs some work.

The big problem with your pitch is verbiage; it's too wordy. The 3 questions at the beginning are asking the same thing, so combine them. Remember, a stellar copywriter should know when enough is enough.

- Look up the difference between "will" and "would" and correct your improper uses of "would."
- Your services and skills should come before your client reviews.
- Be mindful of the claims you make in your pitch, especially when you have a portfolio attached.
- I also always counsel freelancers against misusing the word "expert," especially those struggling to put a sentence together.

Let's look at this paragraph:

I've always had a passion for writing and that passion has helped me grow my skills to a tremendous level. I believe these skills are highly profitable to you and will strongly influence your business if you gave me the chance to work with you.

Only a client wooing you will care to know about your passion, so remove that part; it's unnecessary information. It also sounds like you're begging to get hired. An "expert" wouldn't do that.

Make sure you proofread your write-up. I spotted a few too many errors in it. Errors can shatter your chances of landing a well-paying client.

Grey no longer works else I would have recommended that.

The solution depends on if you wan to receive dollars or Naira.

If Naira(not recommended)
Upwork can send it directly to your account at 390 or so(I haven't done this In over 8 months so I don't know the current rate)

If Dollars
- Get a DOM account from any bank( I use GTB and it works fine)
- Get a payoneer account
- Link payoneer to Upwork
- Link payoneer to your Dom
- You withdraw to payoneer and then to your DOM, then do a withdrawal at your local bank

Alternative for Naira(using Grey) -if you can't get a DOM
- Register on Grey, get a Euro or Pounds virtual account
- Get a payoneer account
- Link payoneer to Upwork
- You withdraw to payoneer
- Convert to Euro or Pounds on Payoneer
- Withdraw to your Grey Euro or Pounds account
- Withdraw from Grey to your Naira bank account at black market rate

You can substitute Grey for others like Payday, Geegpay, etc but you have to vet these services yourself as I don't use them

Don't waste your time on him. Since he faked his location on his own, then he should fake an ID, bank details, and everything else on his own.

Just so you know, Upwork will find out and ban you. The platform doesn't ban your account; it bans YOU. That means if you open any more accounts after the ban — be it freelancer or client — they'll get banned too before you can even transfer a cent out.

Okay, I bleeped up, how do I retrace my steps from here? My US phone number is already verified.

I'm a newbie on Upwork, I was only following someone's suggestion.
