Hello House,

I'll need your help on this one.

I have a Bachelor's degree and I'll finish my master's degree this year. Got an offer at centinnial college for an Ontario College Advanced Diploma. Considering that the course only has Bsc as requirement. If I include my Master's degree in my visa application won't tht be an issue? Maybe I'm suppose to go for a much advanced course (phd or PDG)? Well I need this course for practical reasons, and to assist me with the business I've just registered in Nigeria.

I haven't started operations in the newly registered business, but can I have the documents submitted with my VISA application?

Thanks Gurus.

Since you haven't had your masters, I believe you shouldn't include it. This means you are bachelor degree holder.

A bachelor degree holder should go for a business PGD/PGC or Masters depending on your grade if you claim to need business knowledge to manage your business.

This will convince the VO more of career progression.

AdvDip is a three-year undergraduate study, while PGD/PGC and Masters are one- or two-year post graduate studies.

Also, I don't think a business that hasn't started operations can add weight. Nothing is impossible though.

This is feasible. As you gained admission for one-year PGD, also be looking for another admission in a masters program that will start immediately or three months after your first one-year.

Also, you should ensure your PGD is in a theoretical course or courses that can get you progress to masters.

Additionally, some schools do bundle programs in form of PGD + Masters, PGD + PGD, PostBaccDip+ Masters etc

Also, if you mention the program name, you may get advice on schools that offer the same program for 2 years.

Thanks for your help.

To be more explanatory: had aeronautical Engineering for my bachelors degree, and getting a master's degree in Canada in line with this feild has been a bit tough since I didn't meet up with the grade requirement.

Working on some research designs to incoprate with the newly registered company as what I intend to come back to Nigeria for. More to convince the VO that I'll need the necessary and additional practical knowledge from the advance diploma course. Its an engineering business/ company.

I'll appreciate more input on this.

Thank you

In this kind of situation, I will advise you seek for education loan. While NGN 1,500,000 (C$4,600) could pay for tuition deposit (C$500 - C$2,650) in some colleges and universities, you should ensure that you have the remaining fund readily available.

You are entitled to work 20 hours per week and full time during academic breaks and holidays as an international student while in Canada.

I think you should work on getting to Canada first. There are people who don't have the money just like you but found their ways through it either by finding a sponsor or education loan or combination.

Good morning Family……..

Please I have a question. My international passport will expire in February 2023, and the duration of my course is 1 year (from September 2022 to April 2023 with co-op).

Now, I have renewed my passport. Should I send a webform to inform IRCC I got a new passport or can I just send the new passport when IRCC sends my PPR??

Please, how did you renew your passport?

My passport will expire in February 2023 as well and I was made to believe i can start renewal process until 6 months before expiry (September 2022).

Firstly what the name of your school that awarded your Bachelors?
Secondly You don’t need to indicate that you have a distance learning degree. All you do is input your degree as long as it 4 years and you have your original certificate and transcript with you, I believe u good to go.

Check Langara College
The degree was awarded by LAUTECH. Thanks I will check the school out

You could look for an organization to just help you with the statement of account because that's the only problem you have at the moment.

Exactly what I was told too, because I still have like 1 year for it to expire, and I am afraid to start the process, before they will render my current passport invalid and then when it's time for me to submit my passport to IRCC then it will not be ready. Or after submitting to IRCC and then the new one comes, which I fear might make the previous one invalid. Please gurus, what is the best advice for this scenario?

@Makano and other gurus, Kindly assist.

@Makano I sent you an email to your gmail, Yet to get a response.

Abi2022:
Good Evening,

Guru’s in the house…Una welldone oo.

Thank you for he guidance and time dedicated to helping we newbies. May God bles you all abundantly. To all oou us expecting PPR, God has already done it, may we start to see the manifestation.

Please help a sister.

I have an admission in Centennial College for Fall 2022 and applied on April 26 and did an upfront medical on May 25. My medical just got updated on June 23 after sending webforms and emails. I had earlier submitted my biometrics when I applied for a visiting visa in 2018 so its valid till 2028. I currently have an admission in University of Stirling in Scotland that I must close out on by July 31, 2022. My questions are;

1. I noticed that on the “Details about my application status” my biometrics section is yet to be updated and states that “We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.” I am concerned about the delay and wonder if this is the reason the review of my eligibility is yet to commence.
2. I recently paid the balance of my school fees for the year, when I submitted I had paid only the acceptance fees. I used funds from an account I did not submit so funds in the POF I submitted are still there, do I need to send them this additional information?
3. Should I let them know about this UK admission as I need to know my position to enable me not be at a disadvantage. Time is of essence

What do you gurus advice I do?

Looking forward to your advice

Thank you
