@Makano, Thank you for the detailed guide. The problem is that the Biometrics was done in 2018 when I had no dream or plan to apply for a study permit. However, I have sent a webform and emails quoting the Biometrics number, I really hope this helps. makano: Hello Abi
1. Simply send Nairobi, abuja and Lagos IRCC Centers mails to notify them of this, remember to attach your biometric slip.. Do this everyday until your Biometrics is updated..
2. Even though it isn't necessary sending them this, you can still send them the updated tuition receipt.. IRCC will definitely know of payments made to schools cos they communicate with schools in Canada to be sure what the applicants are declaring as regards school fees are actually correct, but u can go ahead and send it.. You can do this together with your Biometrics..
3. This is not necessary, they would have also known about this during your info Sharing.. Its only Visa Refusals to other countries that must be declared to IRCC to avoid a BAN.
Peace |

Thank you so much CentennialGuy: 1. Don't worry about the biometrics. That is what it's going to show till your application is completed since you have a valid biometrics from 2018.
2. Payment of the balance of your school fees for the year is something that can enhance your application, so you should definitely update your application with the receipt.
3. To be honest this is a decision you are gonna make by yourself. I do not think informing them of your admission in the UK changes anything with IRCC. You should just keep sending them those emails that could probably expedite action from them and hopefully final decision comes before July 31st.

What about a B.sc holder going for an undergraduate certificate program related to field of work? Even though the program is related to your field of work, the Undergraduate Certificate academic qualification is almost the same to a Bachelor's degree due to its admission requirements. The admission requirements for an Undergraduate Certificate is an High School Certificate. That being said a Bachelor's degree holder going for an Undergraduate Certificate program shows a Wrong Academic progression and that will bring about a Wrong Purpose of Visit (refusal) |

Upfront medicals on 26th of April and nothing was updated Medical request from IRCC came on 25th of May, though i tried sending my upfront medical form via webform, I still booked and paid for another medicals to avoid stories that touch Another Medicals was done on the 31st of May and was updated to pass on 4th June. PPR and BVL came in on 17th June early morning Passport was submitted on 20th June in Abuja and since I dint do biometrics there had to pay N9,410 for transmission fee. Letter of Introduction and counterfoil issued and stamped and IRCC portal updated to approved on 25th of June Waiting to receive my passport from Dhl.
Stumbled on the platform when I was looking for how to go about my passport submission and decided to share my own journey.

Deyoungjoe16: PPR ALERT!!! FIRST TIME APPLICANT
My story;
I was super excited when I woke up around 10 am this morning and saw two notification mails from IRCC , then I knew it was it, started smiling and quickly logged in to confirm it was real. Lol…
Prior to getting the PPR this morning I had earlier woke up around 5 am to check the portal , lol cos I got series of ghost updates yesterday, but nothing was there.
__Application timeline__
Application submitted - 5th April 2022 Biometrics done and complete- 6th April 2022 Medicals report request - 28th May 2022 Eligibility Review - 28th may 2022 Medicals done at IOM Abuja -2nd June 2022 Medical passed - 8th june June 2022 Sent series of Emails via webform and mail to IRCC, from the 10th week up until yesterday, intermittently though. PPR - 30th June 2022
Documents submitted(self sponsored)
- Letter of Acceptance with co-op letter - SOP (2 pages) - Intl passport -proof of funds (Statement of account 4 months +with letter of reference from bank) and (investment letter from cowrywise ) -Cv That should be all.
Funny enough, I wasn’t really focused on moving to canada, my priority was Portugal, because I read about many refusals and long wait time.
However, after I got medical request, I became interested and anxious, so reactivated my Nairaland account. I was shocked when I came I on Nairaland Saw different applicants with extremely well packaged applications backed with with so many documents and I felt like Omoh, I no serious oo, lol. But God did it!
Afterwards, I spoke to Frank global, Makano and Anon, they all said once I had gotten a medical request that my application was as good as approved, they gave me so much hope and I wanna take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to them. God bless you my bosses.
I gotta be honest, my application wasn’t the near top 10000th applications I saw here, but it’s all grace and faith my people. God did it!
Landing gist next, Canada here I come!
This is God’s grace at work, I tap into it for mine too. Congrats once again. 3 Likes |

Okay. Thank you! I'll just ask the questions right away.
I've just started applying and I'm filling the required details on the OUAC platform. And I have some questions.
First of, I would have to pay application fee. What method of payment did you use, considering that it's international payment?
And, secondly, I have written my Statement of intent, but I just want to be sure of how to address it to avoid any hiccups. Can I use a more general approach? I used my access bank then the limit was $200, so it went through easily...but with this new limit ,you can use barter by flutterwave..I used this for my visa application. Secondly, just Google sop for your intending course and use it to write yours. Try to make your sop relatable. |
