Didn’t they make a show of having El-Rufai head a committee on restructuring? Had they been serious about it, the police would have been decentralised to the regional or state level where more effective policing can be done by the locals who are familiar with their locality and have the passion and desire to protect their own!

The over-centralised, under-staffed, ill-equipped and poorly motivated Nigerian police FORCE is a major part of the reason why this terrorism, banditry and criminality will continue in Nigeria! But some bastards want the polity structured this way so they can control other peoples resources and lives, and send down their evil army to the south-east to murder innocent youths in the name of ‘phighting IPOB, ESN and DOS’! Had it been one person murdered in the south-east by bloodthirsty northern scoundrels, they would have rushed to upload the report on nairaland and rushed to pin it on the homepage with the caption that ‘IPOB did it’!
