Britishcoins:
Huge amount of money, like to say it will be more than 200k...
Nigeria self, saving and hungry and the same time.
I only save when I want to embark on project..
All my money is for business.. Only emergency fund is kept aside

It is actually an investment, I mean he is getting interest. So it is not saving in itself, even though that was the initial idea.

See me see trouble o! I made a huge amount of money in December 2021, so in January 2022
i thought of saving the money in a place that will give me interest by December 2022. I planned to use the interest to flex or maybe even go on vacation sef. Someone recommended a platform (I will not mention their name yet) to me on this app that I should lock my money there, that I will get high interest that I can use to run some other stuff when I collect my money. What this person didn't tell me was that once I lock the money I won't be able to access it on a “due date”.

Fast forward to last week, my laptop crashed and I needed to get a replacement. I didn’t have enough money in my bank so I just thought to break my savings at least na my money and i really needed the laptop to continue my job. That was how I was told I cannot remove the money until when the thing unlocks itself. I WAN RUN MAD!!
Guys i want to know the next step to take, please o, i really need to remove my money to buy this laptop. I know I made a mistake by not reading Terms and Conditions, but I just felt like saving money should be flexible and stress-free.

Is this how all savings platforms are? Can’t a man just save money and get it back once they need it.

Which other savings apps with good interest and zero stress can I use in the future?
1. FairSave by FairMoney
2. Cowrywise
3. Bank
Which of these three is recommended abeg?
just use the bank comrade.

You Chop upfront interest with your piggyvest safelock and you want to pre-terminate it?

It's not possible, you should have opted for the PIGGYBANK instead.

That's the rule and policy bro, you have to wait till due date.
Re: How Can I Retrieve Funds I Saved In A "Safe-Lock" Account? by justlaw(m): 1:56pm On Jul 02, 2022
I know it is PiggyVest's safelock. You can't unlock it until the due date. Just be patient cos you will smile at the end.

I will advise you source for funds somewhere else and get the laptop needed.

Though, your interest from the safelock would have been paid into your flex account already. Check to confirm it.

BANK. All this apps can make you run mad. Just go bank. Even if it's 1 % intrest take it. Than to loose your sanity on some app you don't know the office .
Walai, you said it all.
Honestly, I can never do that. I'd rather place the money in bank with their shitty interest rates, change it to fx or "eat" the money. Chop it, flex it, waste it, then go poo it out in the loo, knowing it was my belle it entered and not some guy man somewhere hiding under the guise of app using your money to buy "benz" .
Left to me all these apps can crash or give stories at anytime. I am not saying this is the case with this ops app oh, cos he says it is not due.
But a proper financial organization will allow you break you FD, only that they will penalize you.
I smell yawa.

On PiggyVes, there are many options there, the op chose safelock, so he needs to wait .. they’re reliable and insurance cover you

you're talking piggyvest and they're the best. Av been using them for years. Next time, if you need to break your fixed money, you'll keep in piggysave and not safe lock. With safe lock, you already collected your interest and you can't break it until the maturity date. With Piggy save, you can break it with 2.5% loss on the amount of money you intend to remove

Bro, with my experience and money I have lost over the years, me no fit try any investment, business I have no control over.
When yawa gas, the chips are down, that is when you will be told to read the finer details of the insurance cover eg it covers a percentage of funds, a fixed payment etc. Or that the app did not pay insurance premiums. Lol
Dont mind me jare, being negative grin

Guy it's piggyvest. They can never unlock it for you till the due date even if someone is dieing.if you like, write them countless mails, they will not respond to you.
They actually once helped me and unlock mine for me some months ago. I actually knew what i signed up for but a very big problem occurred, i contacted piggyVest and pleaded with them. It was a case of life and that. They asked me few questions to be sure the account and everything is mine. Answered everything correctly and they helped in unlocking it for me. I lost all interest though. That's understandable. Had less than a mionthor two before my due date but i can't wait. That wasn't even an option

However , you don’t have 100% control over any business o, other factors affect physical business too.

Anyway , i can vouch for pigvest, I have HUGE savings there too. And I just reached half way of maturity grin

if it’s in the terms and conditions you agreed to then there is little or nothing you can do that won’t cost you one way or another or even stress you more...

But one way not to loose and still get your laptop is to get a document from them stating that you have such funds with them that would mature by December 2022, with such document you can approach a vendor that can hold on to that document as a collateral and give you a laptop pending when the funds are released by December 2022.

Chief careful with all these unregulated apps. Save your money in a bank or at most in a popular mutual fund. Guide your finances, and don't let the scammers fool you.
