Most Marketers of our oil have their depots in Lagos, if not all.

Except the ones getting from NNPC, the rest dey Lagos.

The issue is not that some of these states cannot build theirs. The foreigners will not come there

The moment money stops flowing, the security turns to the thief.

That's one of the problems with all the compensation appointments and contracts

The money must not stop because it's the security that will make the economy move. No one invest in an area that's not secure

It's like saying why have the money to agberos not stopped. It must not stop because that's one of the reasons Lagos is making any progress

No one will go to work if them unleash

Another senseless decision by Jonathan.

He needs to create a specific role for those bandits even if na to monitor the creeks

Some of these contracts becomes a problem in the future

I am very sure these are the issues affecting Fashola with power. So many signed partnerships and MoU that you can't even breach or it becomes a problem.

GEJ might be funding Tompolo, but when Amaeachi came, he may not want that model.

It becomes a problem

Lagos is the only port functioning optimally in Nigeria. The FG invests heavily in our waterways, with the state government too

They also have partnerships with the Ghanaian Navy and Benenoise navy too in patrolling and joint operations.

No other port has that privilege, and no shipping line would want to sail to an area where security is light

You're right sha.

Two different scenarios.

Tinubu is not funding agberos with Lagos money. He allows them to generate their funds.

In the case of Tompolo, the government is the source of his funds

The govt can be taking part of the money they are generating from shippers to "secure" their waterways

So instead of Tompolo taking directly govt takes and send to him

It's not as easy as land but it needs to be done. If there is no Lagos port anymore won't people ship things

Pre-2015, Nigeria Army were seriously under-armed. Bokoharam insurgents became increasingly aggressive and began to seize large areas in northeastern Nigeria. The violence escalated dramatically in 2014 and Boko Haram drastically expanded its territories.

The insurgents were driven back during the 2015 West African offensive by a Nigeria-led coalition of African and Western countries, forcing the Islamists to retreat into Sambisa Forest and bases at Lake Chad..... thanks to Buhari Administration.

Buhari Administration has rolled out the most significant response to Nigeria’s multifaceted security challenges, since 1999. Nigeria’s Law Enforcement Agencies have significantly scaled up their footprint across the country – Operation Whirl Stroke in the North Central, Operation Ex-Swift Response in border areas, several new Forward Operating Bases, Quick Response Wings, Commando Training Schools, and so on, and deployments of Special Forces.

Increased Investments in Arms and Weapons: Government to Government military deals with the Governments of the US, China, Russia, Pakistan, and so on have helped eliminate expensive and opaque middlemen. In April 2020, a first batch of 17 military vehicles (VT-4 main battle tanks, ST-1 wheeled tank destroyers, self-propelled howitzers etc) arrived from China, for the fight against Boko Haram.

The Nigerian Air Force has acquired more than 30 brand new aircraft since President Buhari assumed office in 2015, including 12 Super Tucano Jets from the United States Government and 3 JF 17 from Pakistan. The NAF is also locally re-activating several previously unserviceable planes.

The fleet renewal efforts of the Nigerian Navy under the Buhari administration have led to the procurement of more than 300 platforms of various types and mix, including 267 flat bottomed, assault, rigid hull, survey, riverine patrol and whaler boats, 25 fast attack craft, seaward defence boats and inshore patrol craft. In addition, 1 survey ship, 1 offshore patrol vessel, 1 landing ship tank and 1 AW 139 Leonardo helicopter, and just of recent NNS Lana and NNS Kada.

I knew you would list what he bought, and that's why I asked for how we have improved on the problem. Every government always buy more equipment than their Predecessors

If Tinubu wins, he will still buy more than Buhari. Its very Normal in this country

You only mentioned Boko Haram, which I can still show you that very little, if not nothing has changed.

You haven't talked about Banditry, Kidnapping Killings in the SE and SS.

Where were we on these in 2015, and where is it now?

Why are we allowing party agents, propagandists and tribal Nazis to hijack the narratives??

These people are now trying to gaslight you into thinking that Buhari has performed very well in the last 7 years. None of these people could be courageous enough to stand up and condemn their own and the only one who did was attached ruthlessly and inimically linked to me.

Fastforward to 2022, only Borno has grown to 35,000 plus. I did not add other states.

Boko Haram is well-known as a plague on the security of the Nigerian state since the group became radicalized in 2010. Officially it is estimated that between 2010 and July 2015, over 15,000 people lost their lives to the Boko Haram conflict—though some estimate the actual death toll between 2010 and 2014 could be anywhere between 100,000 and one million.

In addition, the 2014 report of the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre and Norwegian Refugee Council have estimated that over 3.3 million people have been displaced in the northeast part of Nigeria—or 10 percent of the 33 million internally displaced persons worldwide.

The problem with this type of arrangement is when there is a change of power and the incoming government doesn't want to work with the arrangement in place.

Lagos State is successful with this type of arrangement because there will hardly be a change of government.

Let's take Rivers State for example, will Wike honour this type of arrange if it was made by Amechi?

How do people lie conviniently to themselves and then try to make others believe such lies in the face of overwhelming evidence ?

I thought lie Muhammad is the one saddled with the responsibility of telling lies shamelessly in the face of contrary evidence ; but when ordinary citizens now take it upon themselves to paint a false picture of things , it calls for concern .

How can anybody confidently say Buhari’s government has done more for Nigeria security-wise compared to his predecessors ?

How ?

I was in the northwest in 2014 and most people living there will tell u for free that insurgency , banditry and religious/communal clashes that is now order of the day today was not heard of in the north west back then. In fact , students who were displaced by Boko haram in the north east were shared by Jonathan to north western states where they enjoy relative peace to continue their education fully paid by the govt while soldiers continue to fight the insurgents in the north east .

How can anybody now claim Buhari’s government has done well security wise ? Today we have gun wielding Fulani men kidnapping people not just in the north but places like Oyo , Ogun and even the east ( going by the account of the Methodist prelate that was kidnapped recently )

Omo ! I understand u might be living peacefully in Lagos , Dubai or any other part of the world u are , but the reality is clear as day . Today we have people going to church with guns and other weapons , we have communities paying bandits just to access their farms , we have bandits taking over major express roads and kidnapping people , we have bandits attacking trains and blowing rail lines with dynamites , we have bandits in hundreds attacking a major airport , in fact bandits even sacked the Nigerian military school and kidnapped officers without any hinderance .

Like some people actually can’t see Buhari’s government is a failure as far as security is concerned ?

Well you have to put the interest of your state first and put the Amaechi vs Wike interest in the backburner. If something works for Amaechi then you should build on that and not just destroy or discard it for your own reasons
