Oasis007:
Pre-2015, Nigeria Army were seriously under-armed. Bokoharam insurgents became increasingly aggressive and began to seize large areas in northeastern Nigeria. The violence escalated dramatically in 2014 and Boko Haram drastically expanded its territories.
The insurgents were driven back during the 2015 West African offensive by a Nigeria-led coalition of African and Western countries, forcing the Islamists to retreat into Sambisa Forest and bases at Lake Chad..... thanks to Buhari Administration.
Buhari Administration has rolled out the most significant response to Nigeria’s multifaceted security challenges, since 1999. Nigeria’s Law Enforcement Agencies have significantly scaled up their footprint across the country – Operation Whirl Stroke in the North Central, Operation Ex-Swift Response in border areas, several new Forward Operating Bases, Quick Response Wings, Commando Training Schools, and so on, and deployments of Special Forces.
Increased Investments in Arms and Weapons: Government to Government military deals with the Governments of the US, China, Russia, Pakistan, and so on have helped eliminate expensive and opaque middlemen. In April 2020, a first batch of 17 military vehicles (VT-4 main battle tanks, ST-1 wheeled tank destroyers, self-propelled howitzers etc) arrived from China, for the fight against Boko Haram.
The Nigerian Air Force has acquired more than 30 brand new aircraft since President Buhari assumed office in 2015, including 12 Super Tucano Jets from the United States Government and 3 JF 17 from Pakistan. The NAF is also locally re-activating several previously unserviceable planes.
The fleet renewal efforts of the Nigerian Navy under the Buhari administration have led to the procurement of more than 300 platforms of various types and mix, including 267 flat bottomed, assault, rigid hull, survey, riverine patrol and whaler boats, 25 fast attack craft, seaward defence boats and inshore patrol craft. In addition, 1 survey ship, 1 offshore patrol vessel, 1 landing ship tank and 1 AW 139 Leonardo helicopter, and just of recent NNS Lana and NNS Kada. Omo! This guy sabi book o! See, we care very much on how ur proposed budget for a prospect will affect others
At the bolded...That is the only thing that have direct effect on unity......we are angry by default...Accountability will reduce agitation by almost 100%.....
U smile to your neigbour when you are happy indeed
Tbh,you don't want a working country and you don't know what you are saying,is it what you want Obi to come and do for us? Government is not there to spoon feed you, they are there to create an enabling environment so that your hustle can thrive very well.Do you thrive in chaos and miseries? If government leave their primary responsibilities of providing adequate infrastructure for us,how will you be able to hustle and thrive? How will your hustle as a driver thrive when your road is a death trap? How will your hustle thrive as a business centre owner without adequate electricity? I think at this point i will have to agree with those that said Nigerians deserve our leaders. 3 Likes |

izzou: Let me give you an example of how bad the insecurity is.
Last month, I travelled from Lagos to Abuja by road.
Maybe I'm wrong, but no bus was willing to pass through Ibadan, Ife, Okene axis. No single one.
Their new route is Ore Akure, then they run the length and breadth of Ondo state before entering Kogi. A very long and tiresome journey.
Their reasons are just two. 1) The roads at Ekiti are bad. The driver told me if he passes it twice, he should be planning of buying another set of tires.
2) Insecurity. Kidnappings happen back to back there, especially at Kogi. So they resort to using this longer route that makes the fare more expensive
I paid 17,100 (GUO motors)
Maybe if some of us left our houses and see some things for yourself, you'll understand how pathetic the issue is Why you dey travel that route by road sef? |

I finished service and started my life in 2015.
I have worked in 3 firms. The first I resigned. The second was a bank and I resigned too. The third was an engineering firm and they retrenched us because they couldn't pay anymore.
I was jobless and decided to drive on Uber. I drove 3 cars and two of them are on NL. My last partner was a guy in the UK. I have never met him or seen his Pictures. He sent me a pm, gave me his address in Lagos, and gave me his Hyundai Elantra to drive.
When the car jacking issues were rising then, my family pressured me to stop and I refused. It was intense and I had to drop that car. The guy was really sad but that part ended.
I decided to enter into automobile spare parts, and that's where I am now. Its lucrative, but we the small scale ones can barely stay afloat because of how the naira is falling.
When I drag this government, its not for banters. I know where it affects me. I don't need to read online to know if Buhari is working. I see it everyday in my hustle. I know what it takes to make 1,000 profit.
So if this government is favouring anybody, don't interpret is as a theory. People who drag them have their stories too That is a rugged story. Your breakthrough go dey great. 2 Likes |

Will you as Nigerian prefer to have a stable light only to be unable to eat twice a day?
An average Nigerian wants to live ....
Accountability will show you that it is misnormal to spend so much for less...
If much more is spent on what many will term secondary(light) ..it will have adverse effect on the economy and i think being alive is much more important than living with light.
Accountability is key.....
From what I know and have seen in Nigeria One good thing can open several pathways For example if we have stable electricity, that will give room for companies to come and invest reducing unemployment Only the lazy one will sit at home waiting for government to give them food If unemployment reduce, you know insecurity will also reduce |

Yet, no unity. Clashes here and there
Accountability cannot unify people. If two Muslims or Christians rule this country, the underrepresented one would give serious headache. If you like open your office and show them your day to day records, dem no go rest It's even easy to see with the way any region not in power shout marginalization. During OBJ, South East was shouting marginalization During GEJ, North and South West were shouting marginalization During Buhari, SE is shouting marginalization. If Peter Obi becomes President tomorrow, North and the SE will most likely shout marginalization. Same thing if Tinubu becomes President, the shout of marginalization will not end. It is what it is. |
