People still don't get it. LAGOS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR THIS. The state is already sinking under its own weight.
Well Are you from Lagos State?

You do not get it

It is a private investment so it is for them to judge where to put their money and for the people of Lagos State to judge if it is the place for this

Yo seem bitter and envious.
Singapore is a nations State with an area of 768 sq Km

Whilst Lagos State is about 3345 = four times the size of Singapore
Singapore is doing more shipping than Lagos and is currently building a Mega Port that will have the world's LARGEST CONTAINER TERMINAL when finished. This is a country less than one quarter the size of Lagos State

What the hell do you mean by "sinking"?

Guy you are just envious

God bless SW.

You're right, you have to be very intelligent to have a first class in Accounting, the course showed me shege when I borrowed it in my year 1 in school.

Now imagine having a third class in a course as easy as Philosophy.

go back and read my statement. I said "president".
I am not talking about military, in the military there is nothing like check and balance, project approval and screening by senators, oversight functions by the legislature, federal character, etc that delays the commencement of a project.
In democracy a project may take more than 4 years before approval. But in military it is a decision of one man and he can start the project at anytime he want. Infact in democracy there are some court cases that will delay your project up to when your tenure is run out. So there is no basis of comparison between the two.
You are splitting hairs
Babangida was a president so leave that story. Waiting for your next excuse.
Before Military we had a Prime Minister in Balewa under whom the 1st Niger Bridge was commissioned and several Federal universities started
Shagari half completed the 3rd Mainland bridge ,commissioned PH international airport, The Calabar Airport, started the largest power plant in Nigeria built several Federal Government Colleges and put in place the design we see across many FGCs
That power plant at Egbin remains our biggest till date.

Which buhari? Does buhari know anything about port? It is not a FG project and not a Lagos state project either. It is a private investment with Lagos State having 20% and FG (NPA) having 5%
do you know what it takes to approve that project? Do you think without the federal government approval that project will go on.
Check Anambara airport, they have been looking for approval for years but nobody success, it is only during buhari that that project was approved, monitored and executed.

Tinubu isn't the arrowhead of lekki deep sea port. The port was initiated and is being developed by a private Singaporean company tolaram group. The Lagos state govt and the FG (NPA) own 20% and 5% shares in the venture. Tolaram group along with the port also owns Lekki free trade zone which sycophants like you have been attributing to Tinubu

Check this below and stop crying.

No one claimed Lagos own the port 100% but Tinubu was the one that went to China himself to solicit for investment for this project and he brought them to Nigeria.

State government don’t need to build things 100%, but if they are a shareholder in a business they brought to their states, they can also claim credit in it.

Is 20% not enough for a state judging at how they are also going to get taxes from the companies situated in the LTZ?

We want to see innovative projects like this in other parts of Nigeria.

Akwa Ibom is quite dynamic in this regard.

Ebonyi and Ogun states are impressing as well.

More states should follow suit.

This thing is not about blaming Abuja or FG or Fulani people.

States must be innovative and dynamic.

They'll do this by electing technocrats into office.

Honestly Akwa Ibom is long overdue for a seaport. Imagine having a shoreline stretching from Ikot Abasi to Ibaka in Mbo, yet no seaport beats my imagination.

Show me where anyone said only Lagos state owned the port.

No one in their right senses will claim that. But they can claim Tinubu brought that port investors to Lagos and stake some percentage in it for the states. That’s a fact!

That’s how governance should work. Governors have no business setting up these kind of companies on their own because the civil service will run it down in no time.
