Dear 9-5er... (Note 1) Happy Sunday. Hope you enjoyed your weekend? Weekends don't last right? Yeah, I know that too. I also know there is this feeling that comes with being aware that tomorrow is MONDAY. Well, I'm here because I'm the one sent to your kind: the 9 - 5 workers (or as I would be addressing you, 9-5ers) Yes, I was sent to you for a reason. I'm here to make your life BETTER. Better? Yes, better. You work a 9 - 5 right? Yes. But your life doesn't have to end at you being a 9-5er. You could be MORE. You could IMPACT the world more. You could live those BIG DREAMS you have. You could live a COMFORTABLE LIFE. You can have ALL these and still work your 9-5 effectively (that's if your 9-5 is in line with your passion and not something you want to leave) So, how would I make your life better as I said? Through a series tagged "Dear 9-5er" It would come in form of NOTES. And, you're already reading the first note. This would be coming every Sunday while the series lasts. So, do well to follow me on all my social media handles so you don't miss out on any note. I can be reached on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook with @Moses_Canny-Amah. I'm sure you'd learn a thing or two while we go together on this journey. I'm the angel sent to you and I come with BLESSINGS. Don't miss yours. P.S. This series will also benefit: - Business owners, and - Self-employed individuals. See you on Sunday. Stay MOTIVATED. Moses Canny-Amah #9-5er #9-5 #9to5 #9to5worker #The9to5Guy |

Dear 9-5er... (Note 2) Happy Sunday. It's yet the last day of the weekend. As usual, you are thinking of catching the maximum amount of rest you can before another HECTIC Monday comes tomorrow. Well, how about we talk about this dreaded day of the week? Mondays... The day most 9-5ers dread. Well, Mondays actually has an effect on you based on what kind of job you work. I've come to confirm that there are 4 classes of 9-5ers in the world: - Those whose 9-5 is their passion and they are well paid. - Those whose 9-5 is their passion and they are not well paid. - Those whose 9-5 doesn't fall in line with their passion and they are well paid. - Those whose 9-5 is not their passion and they aren't well paid. Category 4 is the worst place to be in. Now, I'm sure you noticed the 2 benchmarks for categorization: - PASSION - PAY We'll do an in depth study on both later on. But before I continue, I would want to say this: IT IS NOT A BAD THING TO WORK A 9-5. I know the world is moving in an entrepreneurial trend currently and one may feel working a 9-5 is bad, but, trust me, it isn't in itself bad at all. In fact, you may need to work a 9-5 to be able to raise enough funds to pursue an entrepreneurial goal. Okay, back to our dreaded MONDAY. Now, in today's note, I'll be speaking to individuals in the first category --- doesn't mean you shouldn't pay attention if you fall in other categories, take note. So, you fall under the 1st category. Good. You're LUCKY I must say and your type make up the genuinely happy 9-5ers. You probably finished a higher institution study which is in line with your current job. You are well paid. Or so you think... Let's do a little digging in. You're on a fixed salary am I right? Yes. Probably a company car and accommodation are part of your employee's benefits. Good. Now, aside this, do you have any other that personally yours? If you answered NO, then you need to change that NARRATIVE now while you have a job. Remember the servant in the Bible who was to be sent away by his master? He had what to FALL BACK ON. That's the whole point of talking you now. Most people who work jobs that are in line with what they set out do in life or are well paid, usually get carried away by that good condition and forget that something that isn't theirs isn't theirs. Even companies and business owners face this as well. They depend solely on 1 source of income. You shouldn't do that. - You can start a small-scale business: online or physical. - You can learn and sell a HIGH INCOME SKILL (even as a 9-5er) - You can even engage in affiliate marketing if you feel you don't have much time. Don't focus on just 1 source of income. Be like the servant in the Bible, who had at least 2 people (side hustles) he could be gladly accepted into their shelter if eventually his master (9-5 job) sends him parking. Not doing the above has been the undoing of many retrenched and retired adults. Don't fall victim as well. I told you I was an angel sent to you and I come with BLESSINGS. Sure you learnt a thing or two. You can kindly reach out to me on Facebook if you're confused on the current step to take and I'll be glad to guide you to clarity. We will continue next Sunday. STAY MOTIVATED. I am Moses Canny-Amah. #MosesCA #9to5 #9to5er #The9to5guy #9to5Angel |

Dear 9-5er (Note 3) It's another Sunday. I know you expected Note 3 last week but it didn't come. So sorry about that. But yes, the wait is OVER. So, last week, oops, 2 weeks ago, we saw the classes of 9-5ers and I know you took note of the category you belong to. Hope you remember the lesson passed? If no, then you should check out Note 2 again. That said, we'll look at those in the second category: - Those whose 9-5 is their passion and they are not well paid. One special quality people in this category have is that, they work passionately and remain in their job due to their passion. However, they constantly have to battle with FRUSTRATION. Yes, they have that as an opponent. Money answereth all things and lack of it makes one unhappy and frustrated. Now, here's what I'd advice someone in this category to do: Look for a business you can do to raise more money. Now, there are 2 sides of the above: 1. Quit your current job and take the business as your FULL-TIME JOB, or 2. Retain your current job and take the business as a SIDE HUSTLE. The 2nd is most advisable. Now, why do I say so? A bird in hand is worth two in the bushes. You need to have a source of income so you don't move from FRYING PAN to FIRE. Having a source of income will help you work the business with a relaxed mind and not out of DESPERATION. Desperation actually prevents you from doing business well. It really does. One more thing, before you go into a business, take your time to RESEARCH it. Take your time doesn't mean TAKE FOREVER (it's individuals in the class of the poor that take forever to research or take decision about something. The rich don't do that). So, make QUALITY RESEARCH before you JUMP INTO ANYTHING or INVEST YOUR MONEY. So, try this out and see the results you'll get. Reach out to me if need be. Till next Sunday. STAY MOTIVATED. Dear 9-5er (Note 4) It's another Sunday. It is as well another time to get the blessings from your 9-5 angel (me of course). So, last week we saw what those in Category 2 can and SHOULD do. So, we move to 9-5ers in Category 3: - Those whose 9-5 doesn't fall in line with their passion and they are well paid. Well, individuals in this category are in a 50-50 situation. They are happy to a large extent because money is coming in from their job. However, they still have a part of them that yearns for their passion. Sometimes, this set found themselves in such position because they learnt a skill and became very good at it. They go through their jobs just with the motivation of the salary at the end of the month. The fear of going into their passion full time also haunts this set because most times, their passion may not be something that generates income readily. For example, someone that is passionate about speaking to adolescents on life and finance but currently works as a secretary of a company that pays #50,000 monthly to its workers, wouldn't want to risk his or her job because of passion. Some however, have passions which require a lot of time which their current day job may not permit while some feel they may have great difficulty in handling their job and passion. Well, some tips (#blessings) for this set is this: - DON'T QUIT YOUR JOB JUST YET. You are actually in a blessing. Start working on your passion with the time you have off your job, and I can tell you, you have just about enough time to start something and grow gradually. - START UTILIZING YOUR SPARE TIME: - Evenings - Many 9-5ers waste their evening when it can be utilized to create a better life. Some however come home VERY TIRED; I get, but a little 30 minutes put into your passion daily will be a good start for scaling up later. Don't let social media eat up your time any longer. Cut off distractions. Make sacrifices such as sleeping less or chatting less with friends for the time being, you can get back to those later on when your passion has gained more stability. - Weekends - Many 9-5ers suffer from #TGIF syndrome. The weekend is an escape from the dungeon of 9-5 jobs for them. But, you can be a better 9-5er and utilize your weekends. I'm not against relieving stress of the workweek on weekends: it's actually a good thing to do, but don't let it become something you can't do without or you take to the extreme. You can invest more time during the weekend that the workdays. Instead of the normal 30 minutes put on weekdays, you can put in 1 hour of work into your passion. So, while you work your day job, work your passion as well. Build your passion till it becomes so GREAT that it brings in cashflow and removes the need for a job you're not passionate about or you manage both effectively. To be honest, the 1st is the best place to be. For the 2nd, you'll feel less frustrated and you'll automatically be more happy because you know you are on track with your passion. You may start to see your job as a side hustle even. - Last, NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR PASSION. The world needs you and God put those passions in there for a reason. If you give up, you've robbed the world of blessings. (I'm not robbing the world of mine you know... Imagine if I kept all this information away from 9-5ers, what would be the fate of those not aware of all these info?). So, don't give up your passion, even when the world laughs at you, stand on and don't give up. I enjoyed bringing today's blessing and laughed while on the way with it. Next week's blessing will come as well. Till then, STAY MOTIVATED. P.S. You can connect with me here: Connect With MosesCA #MosesCA #9-5 #9-5er #9-5angel #The9to5guy 1 Like |
