GeneralDae:It is not about playing rubbish but making the tournament competitive. Both teams are ranked than most teams in the tournament exception of Cameroon, Nigeria, and South Africa. Why not pitch Senegal against Ghana in qualifiers ? Ghana has the quality and It was not easy defeating them |

samtol4: ghana was somethings else during the return leg. They would have easily trashed togo, burkina faso, senegal, tunishia and morocco with the way the play SF that day. I dont know how Togo managed to qualify. Botswana go surely collect an embarrassing result likewise burundi.. 1 Like |

What CAF should understand is that there is no shortcut. North African countries like tunisia and morocco have aggressively been developing their female teams. Only zambia and Uganda from that east/south african regions. Togo, burkina faso, mali and senegal are in same league with uganda, namibia, burundi and i doubt those East/Southern african countries can even convincely win burkina.F, mali and senegal... talk of CIV and Ghana. |

Alright then. And yes, you are right. About 3 bandas back in 2014 (Susan Banda, Justina Banda and Meya Banda). Bandas and trouble. Schemerkhiz: 1 Like |

How strange indeed. I don't like how they are making this look. It's really unfortunate for Barbra. In truth, Barbra Banda was the one of the players I was excitedly looking forward to seeing at Wafcon/Awcon 2022. Well, the show must go on. Deltamani: 1 Like 1 Share |

Ashleigh - The Present and Future Ebi - The Super Veteran #InTheMoodFor10 NB: I love how SABC uses the overall historical record references dating back to 1991 so they admit we have 11 titles and going for 12. TheSuperNerd: CAF is just being mischievous and sadly WAFU allowed this. They excuse this misnomer as them trying to "develop football" in other parts of Africa but very cleverly do not apply approach for club football. If they insist on this format, then CAF champions League and Confederation cup should also be zoned so the "football development" can be holistic. Funny people 3 Likes |

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 8:41am On Jul 04, 2022 |
Senegal faced off vs Mali in the final qualifying round after both defeated Liberia and Guinea respectively on aggregate in the previous round. Nigeria battled Two of West Africa's Top 3 strongest in Ghana and CIV. That's 5 West African top teams in women's football. Nigeria, Ghana, CIV, Senegal and Mali. Honestly, it's sickening and the fact that Motsepe and co have kept it this way for the U17s & U20s for boys and then for Senior Women's football, since their tenure resumption shows there is more about whatever deal they had with Ahmad Ahmad to oust Issa Hayatou that we don't know about. I hope it's changed and reverses to the old qualifying format someday but until then, the show must go on and I hope Nigeria keeps having the upper hands in the Qualifiers for Wafu B and in Women's Football. lovewins: 2 Likes |

labas370: This Line up nor fit happen at all…. Where’s Tony Payne? Ayinde can’t be in the DM when we already have natural and Combative duo of Christy Ucheibe and Regina Otu.. Ayinde will rather come in Centrally… Ngozi Okobi is currently inform, I’m watching how Randy is going to set up his formation… Onome Ebi will always be between Ashleigh Plumptre and Osinachi Ohale… not Ohale in the middle |

I wonder why Ona da fear sef… South Africa have only defeated Nigeria just 3 times 2012 AWCON Semi Final 2018 AWCON Group stage game 2021 Aisha Buhari Cup in Nigeria….. These are their only victories over Nigeria… Nigeria have won almost all apart from the few draws (only 2) which include the 2018 AWCON final we later won on penalty shoot out…i remembered all this very well.. |

My Predictions Nigeria (2)-(1) South Africa Or Nigeria (2)-(0) South Africa Or Nigeria (3)-(0) South Africa The first prediction will likely come to pass as this has been the most occurring result from 2010 till date. |

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by labas370(f): 10:28am On Jul 04, 2022 |
Your formation of 3-5-2 is similar to mine when on an offensive mode; but the only difference is that, the coach prefer starting Tony's sister as leftback to Tony as LB. This i still believe he wouldn't alter. Ucheibe and Ayinde can swap position and they are all good whether as a CM or DF likewise Ohale and Ebi. The coach will not want to collapse the midfield because of Okobi. Okobi is on form but her defensive attributes as a SF player have been poor. And Ajibade that is more of a fighter in that mid can't be benched during first half in-order to accommodate okobi especially for the first half. Okobi can come in 2nd-half which i'm kinda sure is what the coach will do. Bayana Bayana will try to come hard on us in the first half. Their game plan will be score early, sit deep and catch us on counter. We need mobility in that midfield atleast for the first half and let second half be more of tactics. That's when to bring in experienced players like okobi, ordega to now use their experience to break down any tight defence with their tricks. Ajibade covered more grounds against canada, portugal and usa as an AM. We need to score more first half so that second half, we will have our players sit back with okobi through those her long range defence splitting passes. with kanu in, over-stretching/dragging their defenders out of position. solonnachi: This was my own pick though… We still don’t know which of them Coach Randy will go with though but the ones have picked above is good enough to do the job… Randy may surprise us by playing Chikwelu and Otu ahead of Ucheibe and Ayinde |
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 2:17pm On Jul 04, 2022 |
Deltamani: Based on the practice match, he'll likely go with Chikwelu. She was a part of Asisat teams and that team had all the regular starters. So I'm guessing he'll just go with her. |
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 2:19pm On Jul 04, 2022 |
lovewins: I wish he would seat out Chikwelu and again if he’s to play Chikwelu, Ucheibe or Otu will have to be around her to cover the space that would be left behind.. |
