Nigeria Police Refutes bomb claim by IPOB member Chinasa Nworu in Anambra state *REJOINDER* The attention of Anambra State Police Command has been drawn to a publication by a facebook user, Chinasa Nworu who claimed that* Four Fulani Terrorists sneaked into Awada Grace of God Church in the evening of Sunday 3/7/2022 to bomb the church as few people were still in the church. Author of the false publication claimed one's of them was captured and burnt to ashes while three of them escaped and ran into the Nigeria military barrack in that area_*. This is not only false but a complete mischievous attempt by mischief makers to cause tension in the State by inciting ethnic, religious hatred and conflict. The Police Command will never allow bad elements in any guise to truncate the peace currently being enjoyed in the state. To put the record straight, the Command wishes to state as follows: At about 3pm on same date, the Command received a distress call, along Nepa Road Awada, that a male crime suspect whose name and Address were unknown was set ablaze. Police operatives, on arrival at the scene made enquiries from eyewitness who stated that the victim was a crime suspect caught in an attempt to rob an innocent citizen before he was lynched by an angry mob. Also, those familiar with geographical location of the area know that there is no military barrack close to the location of the incident. It was just a mischievous and sensational update by the Facebook user to achieve a selfish objective from the unfortunate incident. The Command has always condemned the act of mob action by some members of the public who resort to Jungle justice whenever they arrest suspects in respect of criminal allegations without recourse to the Police for proper investigation. The Commissioner of Police, *CP Echeng Echeng* has ordered immediate investigation of the Facebook user. He described the publication as unfortunate and one that is capable of misinforming and misleading the general public. He also warned the originators and peddlers of this fake news to desist forthwith, as they will not be spared when apprehended. *DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, PPRO, Anambra State Police Command* https://m.facebook.com/story/graphql_permalink/?graphql_id=UzpfSTEwMDA2OTIxNzE0OTYzMjozNTA1NjkwNzcyNjAzMjg%3D 1 Like

This rebuttal clearly shows that truly something was amiss and that truly a Fulani bandit was killed! Why the instant rebuttal??...From an organization whose statements are domiciled in lies!! I called and it was confirmed that they were 4 in number and when they saw the reaction, they ran, but 1 was caught and was sent to be with prophet mohammed instantly. We aint moved, everybody is on high alert.!! 1 Like |
