OBAGADAFFI:Yes. Bonus making that of Academy much better..,... UPL disappoint...... There was talk of possible bonus in their letter but not included in the final corporate action. Maybe the Directors didn't approve it. |

I found out that my Axa Mansard was removed from my portfolio when I asked my broker they said it’s not registered in CSCS. I found out that axa mansard readjusted their shares last year. I had 200,000 shares last year. Sold 50,000 from balance 150,000. All of a sudden it disappeared. My MTN shares also disappeared. I have been disturbing my broker. All they keep telling me is that they are working on it. A few days ago, the MYN shares appeared together with UPREIT ( UPREIT- which I don’t have in my portfolio and I have never bought before). After somedays both the MTN and UPREIT disappeared again. Please what else should I do? Apart from waiting for my broker? 1 Like 1 Share |

It all depends on the date last year when you had the 200,000 shares because of the share reconstruction of 1 for 4. If you had 200,000 shares of AXAMansard before Sept 9, 2021 and sold 50,000 shares after Sept 11, you sold ALL your shares hence cannot be in your CSCS account. If you had UACN, you would have received UPDCREIT shares from the unbundling exercise. Shares should not appear and disappear on your CSCS unless your stockbroker is trading on your portfolio, which is unethical if not approved by you. igbizen: 3 Likes |

How often do you guys need to do KYC with your brokers. It is getting ridiculous how often I am having to do this with my broker - Morgan Capital |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by yMcy56: 10:42am On Jul 07, 2022 |
@igbizen Your story looks like your broker reconciled your CSCS statement with your trading portfolio. Try and request for your CSCS statement and do the comparison. Also of importance, is the need for you to subscribe to annual individual CSCS online, whereby you could login at any time and cross-check your holdings with what you have in your trading acct. Annual subscription is less than N3k. Moreover, it's been hammered here that people should develop interest in reading news surrounding their stocks, it will help you to understand quite some things without necessarily getting furious with your broker or anybody when you think something goes wrong. MANSARD did reconstruction of 1:4 and was extensively discussed here. Some brokers did not update the trading acct whereas, CSCS already updated the new shares. There are instances whereby individuals have to contact their brokers to update their trading acct with the correct units. Similar thing was done for Multiverse recently. 1 Like |

OBAGADAFFI:0.20k was proposed by Learn Africas Director's for 2021 FYE. A good one from Learn Africa too. The Sector did so well in the last Financial Year End....

OBAGADAFFI: Yes, a retired Professor will go home with a dividend of N10 million from Learn Africa. He is also an author, earning royalties from Learn Africa for his books sold. That should be more than his pension. This is passive income in action. With the way pirates are dealing with Learn Africa, I think they have done well not withstanding the difficulties in the sector 5 Likes |

OBAGADAFFI: Pitates are still eating deep into their market share |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by OBAGADAFFI: 3:42pm On Jul 07, 2022 |
emmanuelewumi: Yes, but thier turnovers are still high. Pirates can only sell to folks outside their (Learn) distribution channels. Learn sells directly to government and private sectors. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by emmanuelewumi(m): 3:47pm On Jul 07, 2022 |
OBAGADAFFI: Pirated copies are cheaper, some of the distributors also work with pirates. Book shops in places like Oshodi, Ojuelegba, Ikeja and other markets sell both the original and pirated copies |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by OBAGADAFFI: 4:18pm On Jul 07, 2022 |
emmanuelewumi: Yes, Pirated copies are cheaper. But Publisher can bypass Pirates. From Sales experience, most schools have agreements with Publishers, they force students to buy books within the school. If the school agrees to buy Publisher's books, Publishers have to pay them a commission and discounts on each book. 4 Likes |
