Sorry about your experience, I think them requesting for a new passport is a positive sign.

Maybe you should consider sending a mail to one of the MPs in your province. You can search this forum to see if you can find a mail address or check IRCC's website

I truly believe you will be given the Visa.

Take care

I don’t think she had an intention to castigate. Various people have faced various things on this journey. I think the likelihood of going through same stress made her react that way.
Innit2022:
Hi, just because you hate something or you were proactive does not mean you should spread negative vibes.

Applying with a one year passport to expiration is not a crime. The visa process is expected to take 3 months, leaving 9 months to expiry and any visa office will still give you a visa on a 9 months to expiry passport. Its just unfortunate his application has taken that long.

Encourage rather than castigate.

Keep sending webforms, mails and be prayerful. Wait for the Gurus. It will end in praise
Kidsister13:
Good morning all.

Please seniors and elders on this group, I need your honest opinion on what to do.

I applied on the 30th of Oct.
Did upfront medical on the 2nd of nov. 2021 and it was updated as pass on the 29th of December.

Since I didn't get PPR, I deferred from Jan to September 2022.

30th March 2022, they requested I send my new passport bio-data as the one i used in applying will expire in August this year.

I couldn't meet the deadline they kept for me so I sent a letter explaining why and even showed prove that I had started the process of getting a new passport.

In May 4th, I got the passport and I send the data page via Webform for them.

Since then till now i have been sending mails and Webforms but no response.

So i asked, is there anyone here that has send repeated mails and Webform and eventually got a positive feedback because I have Been sending daily since first week of May.

Hi good Morning everyone,

Please I’m new here and I just started my admissions process for some colleges in Canada. I have been reading about the Proof of Funds part of the immigration side and I would need some guidance, I honestly do not have the required funds (want to use those POF agents) what advice can you give because I have noticed that the money needs to be in the account for a couple of months.

Will really appreciate any advice and suggestions

Hi MotolaniB, you need to sort out the POF issue first before securing admission, admission can easily be gotten, so you have to either find a close relative who has the funds that can sponsor you or you sponsor yourself, IRCC allows loans to be taken for POF but you have to show documentation of the loan and how you intend to repay the loan, using POF agents is left to you but you have to consider their interest rates and your capacity to pay. I do not know your profile, I would have advised that you look for schools where you can apply to foreign orgs that offer educational loans for such schools. So slow down on the admission and start working on fixing the POF once you are certain that POF is sorted then you can apply to schools so you can meet tuition fees payment deadlines.

All the best.

Good morning great minds, please someone should help me out with my questions. I got delayed last month, due to personal assets and financial status. I have been able to complete the tuition balance because i only paid first semester before. Now I want to reapply, in my first application I submitted salary account statement of 5 months and mybankstatement of 5 months in the account I have my POF.

Q1: Can I use the same salary statement I used for the first application? Has anyone done it and got PPR?

Q2: Or should I not submit SOA for salary since I have a different account for POF? thank you for the prompt response.

Please guys I’m still waiting for a response please. Thanks

Please gurus. I mailed my passport since 24th of June but I didn't include the consent letter when I mailed it from DHL. The passport was delivered 27th. So I've been worried if VFS even send it to embassy for stamping without the consent letter. But June 5th I got the corresponding letter and some updates online. Please does it look like my passport has been received and stamped already. I am tired of waiting. And am thinking of visiting there today. I have a return DHL label. I am tired of tracking it. People that has gotten there visa before. Does it look like it has been stamped..
Thanks

Good day, currently i have a problem with the school am applying to.
For about three weeks now, i applied to International college of Manitoba, they said for them to continue my application, i should explain the study gap from last year that i wrote waec and now. And i truthfully explained to them that i just got admitted to Olabisi Onabanjo university, ago iwoye but we have not started lectures and strike happened. But they kept on insisting i bring my university transcripts or rather send them an official letter from the school stating the situation and my current study status.
Please house, what should i do?
My school is currently on strike.

I want you to know that if your intention after studying and graduating from INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE MANITOBA, is to apply for post graduation work permit then I am sorry to let you know that the college doesn't offer any post graduation work permit eligible program. So be careful so as not to regret later.

It sure will, thank you so much buddy.

Another thing is I'm after the 3-year PGWP, I will need a 2years course correct? But most of the PGD are only 1 year.

Any advise on that please. Thank you
Yes you will need a two year course, some schools like Conestoga, Fanshawe and lambton offer a lot of two year courses so you just have to search more. If you end up settling for a year PGD, try to choose one that offers Co-op so you can start your job networking as soon as possible so that you maximize the one year PGD given to you and qualify for CEC

I can understand the anxiety. That was me some weeks ago. With that document update on your profile, the passport has been stamped. It takes almost 14 working days. You will soon receive it.

I’m 39yrs. old ,married with 2 kids graduated in year 2014 with 3rd class in Geology but ever since then being working as a freelance in building and construction till date and wife works with research institute.

There is no cause for alarm, you will get your passport, Lagos is always slower than ABJ, however, I noticed you did not share your timeline after getting your PPR, please do so, the forum is not just to ask questions, questions, give time lines to encourage others as well especially when you had to apply a second time to get your PPR.

LONGGGGGG POST ALERT!!!

Guys I really do not know where to start from!
I'm short of words. God's just too good to fail.
I'm still in shock cause I can't really fathom why my application was this quick or why I was just favoured, but I give God all the glory! For he alone is to be praised!

I've been following this thread for about 4yrs now. Just observing with no plans to submit my application. Was just here for the information basically, and to read people's process (which I enjoyed doing) didn't even know I'd eventually apply.

Time came for me to apply, I was scared to the Bone! I was scared to doing it myself! My sponsor (brother) literally begged me to look for an Agent to handle my application, I was skeptical at first, but I succumbed cause I didn't want any issue or stories that touch.

I contacted an agent on this platform, he charged me 150K for admission and 250K for Visa. My sponsor agreed to pay for the first stage (admission). Las las I eventually paid 190K for only admission!!! Only school admission ohhh!!!

Then it was time for Visa Application, and I was told Visa Fee has increased to 300K. And I was like hell No!!! I no go school? Am I daft? No! I can do this shi# myself. 300K no be 300 naira.

That's how it began, took a leap of faith and decided to do and handle my Visa Process myself, and God blessed me with the GOLDEN Mail (PPR)! Guys please do this stuff yourself!
You can do it! Yes YOU! You can!
There's nobody else that cares about your application than you! You don't need any agents NAIRALAND is the real deal! NAIRALAND taught me everything I know and used to get my Approval.

I'm a FIRST TIME APPLICANT, my timeline goes thus, I used the NEW PORTAL,

Upfront Medicals - 22nd November 2021
Application Submitted - 29th November 2021
Biometrics Completed - 3rd December 2021 (updated same day)
Upfront Medicals Updated - 6th December 2021
Then the wait........................^_^
Eligibility Review Started - 25th January 2022
Then a good man, a blessing, friend turned brother, a brother from another mother, Teemenzo (God bless you for me brother, he has always been with me from the beginning of my application) adviced me to send a mail to Abuja which I did, I eventually, reluctantly sent to everybody (London, Nairobi, Lagos, Abuja) yesterday, 26th of January just to disturb then. Lo and behold, today,

Hello guru's in the house, please is it advisable to use 2 cousins as a sponsor's (both have a dollar account) to submit an application, one in Nigeria and the other in Canada, although I don't have a picture together with the one in Canada.

My second question: Is it advisable to use an in-law as sponsor or better claim him as cousin

I sent them mails yesterday and this morning and they responded as early as 7am today.. and it wasn’t auto response. They said they noticed I’ve been sending mails and they have forwarded it to Nairobi and I should send to Nairobi directly as they don’t have jurisdiction over my application and they attached the particular address I should send to. So focus on Beijing, Shangai, Ganzu, Hoichi abi Haichi.. At least they will forward your mails for you. Don’t worry, it will be resolved soon.
