TheStakeHolder: My brother, it has nothing to do with poverty. I was cajoled to taste this delicacy on getting to the village sometime in the early 80s. As a Lagos boy, I couldn't imagine how somebody will be eating termites. Believe me if this thing is properly prepared you will nearly bite your fingers. The truth is that I enjoyed it. |

litigator:Ikorodu wasn't a village abeg! Kai... we even had a park, companies, and stuff there back then. I once attended a secondary school in the village of Isiu - Isiu grammar school- along the Agbowa/Imota road back in the days. That was when I knew well well how village life compared to city life. |

Teenaira:In Thailand, its exotic food. Very costly. Naija and our mentality sha. There is this one called locust. My mum will cook and force me to drink the water. She said the water and the locust is highly medicinal cos they eat good leaves. Any leave they don't eat, humans shouldn't eat as the leave is poisonous. She will fry the locust. Best eaten with abacha. |
