Pearl I'll say it again, you and I no be mate for this racket. I am not an empty drum, so needless making unnecessary noise. Needles throwing unverified punches with you and your wanna be boy. I am open to what is real and will always watch out for folks not making mistakes that can break them. Do you really think people come out here to share their problems? You can't be selling the high side of business and not adding the low side to it. You will eventually mislead people. When I say folks on rentals between the space of 2 to 6 months to do self evaluation if they have 300k in their accounts yet. I never said folks with car or those on rental can't become owners eventually, don't type twist my point. I add majority because I could already think thro what your d as* wit only one way thinking would say.

You said if I save 2k per day, I'll be saving 600k in a year. Damn! That's for me to get toks of 3m now,it may take me 5 years to get that. What gave you the mind set that it won't have gotten to 4.5m in 5 years. Nigeria go better abi? On a target of 10k you willingly imposed on me you to make yourself sound sane. I'll still eat, feed family, pay rent, bills and still have money in the bank. Weldone! Sanusi of Bolt, regulating drivers account balance.

Your neighbours gate man? Una no get gateman for Una compound? Since you live in Adebowale, you should know Ekene selling cloth at Ekene's place abi? When that dude started out, it was very small. I am putting it to you Pearls you can't tie Ekene's shoe lace today. When we talk about real money? Abeg rest. Back to una Musa, why don't you kindly state how long it took Musa to be on rental, how long has he own the phantom car, how much did he buy the Matrix and how much is he paying for rent within. Remember all these is within the space of a year and months. Pearls remove hand for lies nah, how do you find it effortlessly to tell lies like this? Even if Musa is saving 4k everyday, how much is he even paying on the rental? 4k for 365 days with a day off will give him 1.3 plus in a year A man with wife and kids. Shey, Musa no they provide for em family atall? He still does his gateman job and keep tab on ehailling while his employee opens the gateam whenever they are back, because Musa is always on the road.

Pearl! That was how you said people looking for fund account are paying 300k monthly and one will spend like 8 million. I just look you laff, you think going to USA is just by money abi? OK! Your matter don tire me, I rest my case.

Edit later, I no b nairaland driver, get sh*t to put together

Let me tell you bro, the hack to this hustle, is to always drive a rented car.

That way you're not liable for major repairs and you can comfortably drive the car to death, without a twinge of conscience. You fit even dey do shift sef, if you get padi wey sure wey no dey fúck up.

Today is 7/7, if you are working night shift please be vigilant. I carried some Aye boys unknowingly this evening, they requested to connect to Bluetooth which I allowed. Only to start playing Aye songs, and knacking Egede.

The song got to where they where yabbing other fraternity, one of them from the back said 'Driver, which one you be, hope say you no be Eiye boy? Quick talk now make we know '

I only smiled without saying anything. I already zeroed my mind that they won't pay for the ride, luckily they paid.

Always have a friend that's ready to play along. Next time, text the friend on whatsapp to call you, address him as any military rank and tell him you're heading straight to barrack after this trip.

My own friend's name is saved as Lieutenant. Anytime I say "hello sir", guy man already understands.

Same way it’s not everybody that had opportunity to be born by black Afro musician mother or grow with parents paying for their school fees, guiding them, connecting them to uncles and colleagues or paying their first house rent.
If we look at opportunities and background I’m way behind 80% of guys here.

So we don’t keep dragging this matter.
I’m not encouraging everybody to stop driving and jappa. I’m only motivating people that see the job as stop gap and have certificates/work experiences and not getting jobs in Nigeria to look outside Nigeria and sell whatever they have or loan to move to the next level else they will still be complaining about no job in Nigeria next 5years.

2months here two of my guys asked me to get a remote job and stop stressing myself going to work... that I can do two jobs remotely, they are earning x4 of what I earn.
Pls are they talking down on my job/status or motivating me to step up ?
??

I will rather have people around me telling me to move up and not relax with crumbs, than pity party telling me ohh, it’s not easy , just keep managing crumbs, one day e go better, at least you a better than gala seller.

I’m not talking to everybody oohhh.
Only my guys doing Uber as stop gap.

To others driving as full time and looking at building fleets of cars I respect and salute your business.
We are all hustling to make money.

Can you please elaborate more .. Because I want to be motivate..........people are motivated by money .. The reason people jappa is because of the economical reasons ......

I will not advice someone making 6m a month to go and jappa ..... In jappa countries you will pay taxes etc. Unlike Nigeria that u barley pay any tax .....

.. Can you break down the cost of your living expense and how much u make in ur field of work etc ... I know that living expenses in my state is very high ....

In terms of the most expensive city in the USA .. My state and City is NUMBER 3 ..... In some city pay less coz the cost of living is less ........

We really to need to get a clear picture on how to jappa. We need facts and figures here bro ...

People that were asking me about uber business wanted to know my break down of expenses etc .. Some were motivated and others were not ...... So gives us a break down on how much person can make in your field ......

Okay. I think I got that right.
I go try dey start driving early be that. Normall, if 8am no knack, I no dey go out. Sometimes, 9am/10am/11am/12noon before I set out.
Na because I no like this early momo hustle (5am/6am), but I go try adjust sha.
Thanks a lot boss.

I dislike early morning work with passion, the danger it entails is even more than late night driving.

As for me, late night driving is less dangerous than early morning work. These are my reasons

The first time lastma arrested me on this job I started early and my 2nd trip was from illupeju to lekki... I paid 12k and my rider left me at Sura booking another ride.

2nd time, taskforce arrested me around 7/8am for one way- I paid over 170k plus 3days no work

3rd time, task force again, it was in the morning too at airport road 7&8 bus stop that sloppy path.

4th, in the morning again CBD taskforce along agidingbi road... I escaped paying 10k by miracle

5th, the list goes on and on...

What does this experience teaches me? Taskforce agencies mainly do their work in the morning and once sun comes out they're already thinking of going into their hiding. In the evening is making to control traffic and once it's 6/7pm they close.

On the other hands,

No police, lasma, local govmnt boys
Roads are free, though with no surge.
You state your rules not riders, you can choose to ride without ac claiming no filling station to buy fuel... But you have to know your onion very well, be rugged, be mad, have good tyers and spare, fill up tank, and make sure your car is sound because if he breakdown for road na you Sabi oohgrin

On this same thread...someone made payment without picking car, another made payment without having a contract. Trust me, many people will fall for d scam of making payment first and hoping to come and pick the car on a different date.
Or it could be a bad car that has been packaged, when u start driving it, u will not be able to meet up because of repairs, then when u default they will come and collect the car from u and u lose your down payment.
All na still scam to lure u in.

As some point I picked up a used Corolla on HP with dp of 100k... To cut the long story short... During end SARS crisis when govment declared curfew this eveil guy called partner said curfew was not in the country so I'd to hustle his money out for that week ooogrin

Next day being Sunday Nov.1, 2020 I took car to car watch after church I was still inside the car waiting for the car watch guy to pull out a car so I could drive in na so one man from no where ran into tmy HP car oooh....

You have not been completely honest on this thread. There is a difference in encouraging people to look outside ehailing for better opportunities and telling people outrightly ehailing isn't worth it. Meanwhile u were cashing out day and night. See the way u gave breakdown of how to easily make 20k daily the other day. U never did that while u were still driving. All u did was constantly tell people it's better to do work of 80k than do ehailing, it's better to remain a restaurant staff or fuel attendant than do ehailing. Cos ehailing is stressful, suffer head, risky, and u go home with peanuts.
I am not against guys doing better things with their lives, what I am against is people saying that there isn't anything good about ehailing.
Anybody that has a low self esteem already will feel demoralized doing this but if u know who you are, if u know ur worth u will not define yourself by what u do or by what people think of you. Who jacket, white shirt and tie hep. When u collect your 100k salary and enter market u go know say there is a difference between 6 and half a dozen.

Which brings us back to the question...
How easy it is to drive early morning and late night to gross 20k ?
Even the Glithronix (much respect sir) that I told to drive at odd hours to avoid traffic and Lastma, said he can’t do it
How is easy it is for Uber driver to live in surulere, yaba , island and surge locations
While I was driving I was shouting that it’s not easy and can’t be consistent, there are low and high moments.
But the conclusion of the matter is that I now know my audience.
Whoever wants to drive as full time job and retire driving should continue, easily week in week out
Whoever wants to use it as stop gap , should do fast and move age is not on our side.
