I don't understand people criticising Senator Datti's comments for being insensitive who also claim to be Christians. Didn't God kill all the people in Sodom and Gomorrah for practising such acts?

Religion is a fancy word for many folks. They cherry pick what they want to hear. If you want to stand by Christianity and Islam, stand for everything in it and stop being politically correct.

The only problem with what Senator Datti said is that it doesn't solve the problem of gays and lesbians in society. Some of the people shouting about LGBTQ problem in public are closeted gay people. Passing a law to kill them is like trying to enforce the BIGAMY law in Nigeria.

In summary, you can't SOLVE the problem of LGBTQ in Nigeria or anywhere. The problem and the solution lies with the mentality of the people. So long as people are continuously exposed to lesbians and gays in society, to gay pornography and other subtle forms of acceptance for LGBTQ persons in foreign media - they will continue to exist in society.
All you can do is to pray and monitor what your child is exposed to during his formative years. That is the best you can do.
