You should try removing his finger from his mouth when you notice, then immediately feed your baby... This is how I stopped my son from sucking, but trust me sometimes they just use it to keep themselves busy I guess

You can only manage it, not completely stop it, cos my son I'm even talking about now puts his toes in his mouth as I don stop the thumb sucking �

Battling reoccurrent cough, cold and catarrh for 2yr old. Tired of going to hospital and be given more and more drugs, that seem not curr it completely,

Is there a surefire way of treating this in toddlers, note we dont use AC, and fan is once in a while.
Learnt pineapple+honey+ginger juice works wonders, but the toddler is a picky eater, hence runs away from the juice.

Good evening sis, first of all ginger, garlic, lime etc are very acidic for children and you need to be careful how often you give them... That's one..

Secondly go to the hospital for culture test and possibly a scan... If there's no mucur blockage or bacteria causing the cough please branch Agbo Shop (local herb seller)... Tell them you want to buy mentor (crystal like, white in color), go home boil water, put a pinch (I take God beg you na pinch I talk o) into the hot water.... When it is warm give him to drink morning and night, you can add honey to lick after he drinks...

(If you can't get the measurement to drink, just put enough in a pot. Have him inhale the fumes, that's after you have tried it and you see it's not too harsh)

I took my baby for 6weeks immunisation. They have him two shots ,(penta and PCV). Opv was not available and they asked me to come back next week for it. But the nurse told me that the 4th one which rota 1 is not free anywhere and that I should pay 10k for it to be given.

So please is this the same with any of us here?

Yes ROTA is not free and in some hospitals, it costs more than 10k..
Rota is for the prevention of diarrhoea and Co and sometimes the side effects can be same diarrhoea

when I had this problem i found putting the baby on a chair or baby seat then offering bottle was successful, if I carry the baby she refuse

As at 26/5/2022 my baby was given rota 1, opv 1, pcv 1 and penta 1. We paid 200 naira for the 4 injections. They charge 200 flat rate any time we go for vaccination at the primary health center.

The hospital charge us 18k for rota oo, then I have no choice as health center did not have. Now another hospital is less than 10k. BUT I will check the health center again to see if they have because we are almost due for the second dose.

Good evening mama. Though I haven't used their soap but their powder is excellent for baby skin as it helped me clear rashes and any skin irritation on my son.
I have heard other mamas give good reviews about the soap sha

Well, i was using it for my daughter. It clears rashes yes but after a while it started drying out her skin. So i stopped.

well here in Minna, Niger State General Hospital My son was given Rota 1, OPV 1, PCV 1 and Penta 1 all for free, noone Kobo was charged

Good morning wonderful mamas pls o help me.My Ds is 8weeks today and for some days now I noticed that each time I comb his hair after bath I see brown stuff on the comb,then I parted the hair and saw brown stuff on some part of the hair like dandruff ,I Google it and I saw cradle cap. pls who has dealt with this and what did u do to clear it .for now I just keep combing the hair so that the stuff can come onto the comb, pls don't read and pass if u have dealt with this before o and thanks in advance.

Hello dear. I read your post earlier but waited to see if any mama would recommend any good therapist. I had same challenge about 3 years ago. My daughter, 3 going on 4 years then couldn't even pronounce her own name. Couldn't call me mummy. So heartbreaking. Registered her in school when she was 2yrs 4 months, it didn't help. Searched for a good speech therapist, I didn't see.

Last last I took matters into my own hands. Read up online about speech therapy, watched YouTube videos, got some ideas from the course outlines of some online speech therapists; and na so I became her therapist o. It took a lot of prayers, time, and tears (on both sides). Frustrating, I must confess. But when the efforts started paying off I was super grateful to God. She started speaking so well by age 4, with an American accent fah. Still has the same accent till date (she will clock 7 this year). Courtesy of mummy's speech therapy.

My recommendation - if you don't see any good therapist, try D-I-Y. With God you'll soon see great results.
Get Learn to read with Mrs. Phipps and Snooty. The video helped us a lot.

Its possible ma.. My baby is showing some symptoms and my mum said maybe it's teeth. When hubby exclaimed that she's too small, mumsy said my eldest brother brought out his first teeth at 3 months... On getting to church this evening too, my church member whose baby will be 3 months by month end said whenever she's sucking, her gum is always very hot on her nipples and she's suspecting teething too..
