doesn’t matter.
Mine started the day I was leaving Nigeria and I got the visa. Just make sure it covers the duration of your stay, and maybe even extra.
We make a lot of assumptions here actually .
No one knows what informs the consulate general decisions, that’s why you see some people get denied even after providing all the necessary documents.
Just do your best, provide the required documents and hope for the best.

Hello guys, I know this has nothing to do with this thread, but I applied for Austria tourist visa, I was refused based on this reason.

POINT 10

To evaluate the documents in your visa application, you were invited to a personal interview at the Embassy on May 3rd, 2022. The information given in the course of the interview was not credible because you obviously learned the itinerary by heart.

I intend to re-apply, but I'd like to know what changes to make. Thank you

did you get answer to this? i have same issue at same embassy austria.

Hello people, please what documents do I need for Transit Visa only, thank you

Is like applying for regular visa but you don’t need hotel or evidence of accommodation since your final destination is not any of the Schengen countries.

- You need to provide evidence that you will be allowed to enter the country (your final destination) you’re travelling to, therefore you need to provide evidence such as residence permit and valid visa of your final destination.

- You need a detailed explanation or reason why you need a transit visa to travel to your final destination. Like you are going there to visit, to school or the place is your permanent place of residence.

- Flight booking

- Finance: Show evidence that you have enough fund to continue your journey to your financial destination.

*Make sure you applied for the correct ATV because they have one-way ATV, Return ATV and multiple ATV.

What is going to happen to french visa applicants submitting documents and biometric appointments fixed for 12th July and it's public holiday in VFS office,Would they be allowed to submit there application on the 13th July?

It won’t be processed. 14th and 15th July are also holidays here in France so this week is almost useless for visa processing. So all submitted applications this week will be processed from beginning of next week.

I am a first timer, virgin passport holder (yes my old passport got stolen in SA so I basically have no travel history…)

I am a student and applied for a long stay (D) visa

I applied directly to my school and followed the campus France procedure afterwards so all the documents I submitted are as stated in my campus France guide list. I will attach it here

I was given 1 year multiple entry visa.

I used my sister as my sponsor and showed money deposited in my bank account from her.
(615 euros x 12 + some extra very small)

I also already paid DEPOSIT (first installment of 3) of my tuition

Hope this helps
