The reason why ASUU strikes are prevalent is because both ASUU and government don't want to implement the ultimate solution

Let...Universities .raise .....fees.....

Because doing that means that government universities may be priced out of the reach of the poor.

And let's be honest, a degree is the main road out of poverty for most Nigerians. (I know one guy who arrived in 100 level with N3000 at hand for the year, after fees paid. He graduated...today he is married and owns property.).

But unless someone can find an extra 30 billion or more dollars per year for our universities alone , instead of the less than one billion they get annually, either fees go up, or taxes go up, or we leave our universities as they are.
