I think it wasn't right for you to leave ur phone for her, she might have seen something that made her uncomfortable. Secondly you are supposed to be the one to wngage her in a conversation and not the other way round. Also she may want much more than just the conversation, you have to be able to decipher that. She may even want you to be allover her but u kept ur distance. Just learn from this incident so that u don't make such mistakes again. However, if i were you i would correct that impression with the lady!

I guess she had high expectations but was disappointed. It all starts from what you guys had discussed in the past prior to her visit.

Anyways, if you have been playing straight with her and she tells you that there won't be another visit, let her go. Others will come. Do you know the number of girls who want boyfriends? They ate countless.
