Bros context matters a lot and you have to bring the context into the discussion.

Tinubu made that statement in Abeokuta when he was talking to party members who will be delegates in the party nomination exercise. Ogun State is the state of Yemi Osibanjo another aspirant in the race. It was only proper to set the record straight in Abeokuta so those delegates will know what he has done for the party and why he deserve the ticket.

He mentioned Atiku because Atiku was once a member of APC. He was basically saying he has had chances to run the party flag but gave it and supported others, now it's time for others in the party to support his own ambition. It is strictly a party affairs.

There's a reason why he didn't made that statement anywhere else except in Abeokuta. The state of Yemi Osibanjo.
