The Delta All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, has appointed former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder God’sday Orubebe, as the Director-General of his Campaign Organisation.

Mr Ima Niboro, the Director, Communications and Media Strategy of the organisation, said this in a statement in Abuja on Wednesday.

Niboro quoted Omo-Agege as saying that Orubebe was brought on board toward enriching the organisation with his wealth of experience.

“Orubebe shall, side by side with me, lead critical engagements and drive consultations and by his renowned robustness, up the ante for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“Together with the rest of the team, we shall show PDP the way out of Government House come May 29, 2023,” he said.

He said that the selection of the Ijaw-born politician was due to his knowledge, capacity and pedigree.

“Bringing him on board strengthens the campaign organisation straightaway and builds a strategic redoubt of crucial stakeholders at the grassroots for the contest ahead,’’ he said.

Orubebe was born June 6, 1959 at Ogbobagbene in Burutu Local Government Area (LGA) of Delta.

He attended the University of Lagos, where he earned a B.Sc. degree in Political Science in 1985. He later attended Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, where he obtained a Master’s degree in International Relations.

Orubebe was supervisory councilor and later chairman of Burutu LGA.

In July 2007, late President Umaru Yar’Adua appointed him as the Minister of Special Duties. He was later to become Minister of State for Niger Delta Affairs when the ministry was created in December 2008.

Orubebe, who worked with former President Goodluck Jonathan, shared the credit for instituting the Niger Delta Amnesty Programme which successfully won the hearts of most Niger Delta people and brought peace to the region.

He resigned from office in February 2014 to contest for the governorship of Delta in the build up to the 2015 general elections.

Sincerely speaking, if a neutral person with good track record could comes from an unknown political party for Delta state Governorship position, it would have been the best option for Deltans.
All these career politicians are very heavy burden on the State and they have failed the state. All the politicians in Delta state are supposed to go on compulsory retirement. The state has been badly raped and emptied by the wicked selfish politicians.

Now that PDP in Delta state is shaken, who knows maybe omoagege could just become the governor? But he ought to have returned to Senate to fight for SP amongst his colleagues

Una dey see Politicians and the very essence of joining a political party

Very simple, they join a political party where their interest will be protected. Not your own interest or your emotions or sentiment...No, never...it's about their own interests...this is for individuals.

A political party as a party also make decisions on how best they feel they can win elections...since politics is a game of numbers...they make decisions solely based on getting the numbers that will win them elections....Not by emotions, sentiments...and not even competence attimes...who competence helped They just want to win!!!

If you understand the two points above clearly, you will cry less about politicians cross carpeting or why political parties/politicians made their choices.

Shameless politicians. What happens in Nigeria just shows that these men live off the resources of the country. The minute they are out of power and not in the ruling party, their income dries up immediately and they start chopping the ones stolen previously. Once it is running out and they are not in power yet they resort to every shameful act with only one goal- to have access to inflated contracts at least.

Even Nigerians have been so subjugated that they would allow these men to steal once and leave the seat for others while they invest the loot they stole. But no, politics is their source of livelihood. Tufiakwa!

Delta State Omo-Agege and the notorious Orubebe.
Interesting game of politics.

Btw,
This is for sane, honest and hardworking Nigerians ONLY.
According to words on the streets,
This is how the Presidential Election for 2023 will pan out.......

“In Borno, Ali Modu Sheriff, Kashim Shettima and Babagana Zulum will work for Tinubu.

In Kano, Ganduje, Kwankwaso, Shekarau and Tanko Yakassai will work for Tinubu.

In Kaduna, El-Rufai and Uba Sani will work for Tinubu.

In Ogun, Abiodun, Osoba, Amosun and Daniel will work for Tinubu.

In Ekiti, Fayemi, Adebayo, Fayose, Oni, Bamidele and Adeyeye will work for Tinubu.

In Osun, Oyetola, Baba Akande, Aregbesola and Omisore will work for Tinubu.

In Nasarawa, Sule and Al-Makura will work for Tinubu.

In Edo, Oshiomole and Ize-Iyamu will work for Tinubu.

In Bauchi, Adamu Adamu and Dogara will work for Tinubu.

In Gombe, Inuwa Yahaya and Danjuma Goje will work for Tinubu.

In Kwara, AbdulRahman will work for Tinubu. That’s the only state whose delegates all voted for Tinubu %.

In Katsina, Aminu Masari, Hadi Sirika, Dikki Radda and Ibrahim Masari will work for Tinubu.

In Zamfara, Matawalle, Marafa, Yerima, Yari and Shinkafi will work for Tinubu.

In Lagos, Sanwo-Olu, Fashola, Gbajabiamila, Baba Olusi, Prophet Odunmbaku etc will work for Tinubu.

The victory will be total and that’s why Kwankwaso said that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu should take it easy.”

God bless Nigeria.
We Rise.
