codemaniacs: Ajibade has been productive in midfield as much as on RW... She is versatile... Haaland and Salah aren't versatile.. Salah is one legged, Haaland has never played as a winger before..U should have used Mane as an example.. Ajibade isn't Salah or Halaand who are limited to one position..She's versatile.. Mind you, Cameroon have fast players too and they are physical.. |

Bros, Cameroon isn’t Burundi. Did you watch her against South Africa? Football get class. Anyone can shine when you play against mediocre opponents. O pari daveP: 2 Likes |

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Icon79(m): 4:32pm On Jul 13, 2022 |
Read my response to DaveP. Using our last two games to judge our players would be very wrong because Cameroon is a much stronger opponent than either Botswana or Burundi. To see how these players will perform against Cameroon, look at how they performed against South Africa. That’s a better yardstick. Ashleigh is technically better than both Ohale and Ebi. She’s defensively stronger and reads the game better. She didn’t even play in her favorite position against South Africa but was still able to cage their best and most dangerous player. Icon79:huh? Our defence will just become express way Ashleigh will have to start from the bench. |
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by codemaniacs: 4:36pm On Jul 13, 2022 |
Danielnino00: No player is versatile. Players have their trained positions and other positions they may have a good/bad game in some matches. A GK cannot play as a Striker even if he scores goals. The problem is you want to move a player from where she got 3 assists and a goal to where she has no assists and no goals. In summary you're a Cameroonian.. 2 Likes |

Schemerkhiz:The least expectation should be a win out of the double header. Enough of us being used as whipping cone. |
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by mostob(m): 4:40pm On Jul 13, 2022 |
Icon79:I hate to say this but with all these qualities and she still had a hand in both goals we conceded against South Africa. I'm not using that game to judge her though because Ohale and Ebi were also culpable. But this is Cameroon we're playing, Ashleigh should start from bench if the coach is not playing 3 at the back. 2 Likes |

Your best player should start from the bench? Yeah right! Do you think that Cameroon is Burundi? Anyway, thank God you’re not the coach. O pari mostob: |
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Icon79(m): 4:49pm On Jul 13, 2022 |
I beg to differ, she didn’t have a hand in any one of those goals actually. For the first goal, I will blame Ohale and Ebi. Ash was a wingback, where are the CBs behind to provide her support. As for the second goal, I am at loss how you can possibly blame her on that one. Are you sure you watched the game? O pari mostob: |
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 4:54pm On Jul 13, 2022 |
mostob: This isn't factual. Yes she was beaten by the South African before we conceded the first goal, but she's not by any stretch culpable in us conceding the second goal 2 Likes |

For the first goal Ebi was the culprit she was out of position she should have stayed the with the goalscorer and intercept the pass Icon79: 2 Likes |

codemaniacs: There's no such thing as a trained position... Players adapt to whichever position their talent and skill can fit into... That is why players like Mane, Ronaldo, Messi, De Bruyne, Kimmich and Cancelo can play more than one positions effectively well.. Mind you,Ajibade played in midfield against South Africa and got a goal... The problem is that you are emphasizing on her performance against a very weak Burundi team, while trying to ignore her performance in that same position against a stronger Botswana team... Cameroon is stronger than both Botswana and Burundi... I repeat, Ajibade can perform in midfield as much as on the flank...The problem isn't the position but consistency... |

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Icon79(m): 5:47pm On Jul 13, 2022 |
The only way you’ll blame her is if you’re casual soccer fan but, technically speaking, the biggest culprit for that goal were the CBs, especially Ebi. That final pass should’ve been cut off and cleared from danger if Ebi was alert. O pari yinkeys: 2 Likes |

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 5:56pm On Jul 13, 2022 |
GeneralDae: Why shouldn't we? You don't refuse a high profile friendly simply for the fear of being beaten. To be the best you have to compete with the best. Also, friendlies with nations like the USA is usually by invitation not likely by request. It says something if in the space of 6 months we've received invitation from the US and Canada for a friendly. It shows how we are being perceived on the world stage. This also doesn't mean we can't see friendlies with the nation's you mentioned. The two aren't mutually exclusive. 3 Likes |
