This argument is gradually coming to an end.

My argument since morning has been that the money was seized due to been associated with narcotics trafficking which you have been denying.

I have not described how Tinubu was involved at any point of this argument.

So see you now trying to tell me there is a probability that he was indirectly involved grin
Do you recall that I said on the face of the law he was not convicted as guilty of money laundering from narcotics but that his money was seized because of tax evasion?

Good. So this is 18 USC 1956. Look at the sections and subsections. This shows that if the govt alleges that money in someone's account came from specified unlawful activity in a way that it proves that individual intended to conceal or refuse to report that money to the govt or fail to pay taxes on it, the government can seize it. Do you agree?

Go directly to relate how tax evasion made the government to withhold $460k and advertise for anybody to come lay claim to the money within 10 days.

I don't know what you have been reading but I am pretty sure I mentioned that even though I suspect BAT was an accomplice in laundering money for narcotics that is not what the 460K was confiscated for. Do you remember?

Me, I’ve not even said Tinubu is guilty grin I was just telling you guys what I read in the court papers, which was clear.

It's actually funny and unbelievable that people that all gathered to protest the end Sars,. Are still the ones shouting vote Tinubu,. Vote Atiku.

This country is a joke.

That’s the crazy aspect of it all. Na why I no dey follow people gather dey form any yeye activists; people who engage in it do it for selfish reasons most times.

Activism is like a bus going on long distance journey with people going to different bus stops , na when u reach ur bus stop ( where u begin cash out massively ) na there u go drop.

Look at people like Keyamo, he don do activism collect almost 8 years minister he don turn big man lawyer from activist. I’m sure lawyers in his chambers will not stress themselves arguing all day to convince a judge when their principal is now well connected and can get access to the judges at clubs, ranches, golf courses and other less official gatherings .

Me I dey always mark faces of people chanting Sai Baba, Jagaban Lokan etc…. U will not use stupid majority to put everybody in deep shiiit and later come back to me for financial assistance when shiiit hits the fan financially ….shishi u no go see .

I just showed you.

They are allowed to confiscate not more than 500K abi based on the US code cited abi? ✔

Them advertising is statutory. It is procedural. They asked the man to account for ~ 1.5M in his account. He could only account for 1M so they seized the other ~500K. By procedure, they have to now wait for 10 days (maybe the person or people who wired it into BATs account will come to explain why they did).

I waded into your debate with Larride to say that his argument that it was for tax evasion holds up - regardless of if I truly believe BAT is guilty or not. I kept reminding you that I was talking from the position of the law.

Gbam!!! You have said it all.
The most heartbreaking aspect of all these, are those that lost their lives in the Lekki massacre.
The innocents are getting shot while the activist are receiving pay checks in secret.
The situation of Nigeria is too heartbreaking, even GOD is ashame of the people.
How on earth will a Nigerian with full sense vote and campaign for Tinubu and Atiku?
Somethings happens in Nigeria and you just begin to wonder the kind of people you share the country with.
The problem of Nigeria now is that the bad and selfish people outnumbered the good and sincere ones.
Brother!!!! We are greatly outnumbered.

TRIBALISM TRIBALISM TRIBALISM! That's your answer.

The vast majority of Tinubu supporters are moved primarily by tribal sentiment.

There is a certain allure that comes from someone of your own place being at the top even if the person is now literally a vegetable. So far as the president bears a similar name to yours and speaks your language. That's qualification enough.

I just pray these people come to their senses and realize that these corrupt elite are all there for themselves and don't care for the average man no matter the tribe. Money is universal.

He was able to account for the tax of the 1m and not able to account for the tax of the rest? I really want to understand this tax angle.

very true.
The whole country needs deep rotted orientation.
The world is in 2022 but it seems Nigerian is still in 1776.
We have numerous universities, Polytechnics in Nigeria and yet the country is run like a country where the people have no education.
Imagine someone from California saying he must vote for a presidential candidate from California!!
As you can see, the whole world has left Nigeria behind.

This is why I wish and hope Obi’s people can go offline and engage the voters on one-on-one basis, organize town hall meetings , have people spoken to in their local dialects; educate them on what is wrong with this country that needs fixing , let them know how much the two leading parties have stolen and still stealing , let them know the implication it has for their future , etc .

That’s why I’ve always maintained that any serious party that wants to take power off APC and PDP first needs to have a target voting audience listen to them …… The whole Twitter vibes won’t do , while they are on Twitter APC and PDP too are on Twitter with paid posters ; even professionals in the media , Public relations space and other opinion molders doing their own jobs too alongside with Obi’s supporters . The only way to at least match is if u have offline train that is working assiduously to discredit the government and make people see any of their mistakes as something that affects their future.

That was APC’s workbook pre-2015 and they were able to pull off the unthinkable .

Las las politics is a game of numbers and more often than not , the Will of the majority is usually imposed on the minority .

True but unfortunately there is one problem Nigeria is facing now which is the north.
If 50% of people from the north are given orientation then 70% of our election problem is solved.
And then the security challenges in the North has greatly discouraged mass orientation of the north.
Sometimes i think these security challenges in the North were purposely Orchestrated to keep people from the south from coming into the north to liberate them. So they use insecurity to keep northerners in bondage and In control because they know they holds the power to election.

The problem of Nigeria is too complex.
It requires both the revisit of the constitution to fix.
We need to allow each states manage their resources and be independent just like USA and by so doing, people from different states can check and balance their state rulers and then maybe the north will wake up from their slumber when they realise other states are doing better than them.

We need to revisit the constitution.

Even if u want to revisit the constitution, whatever committee is set up u will always have northerners in the majority and they will weigh in on their religion and cultural values when taking decisions that will affect each and every citizenry.

Just take at the quote in the screenshot below(if indeed Awo, Zik and Ahmadu Bello did actually said those things o) , till date we have refused to forget our differences , we do not understand our differences and neither do we have people educated enough to be blinded to those differences ( At least recent religious-linked killings have shown this ) . So the cannibals eating their kinsmen down in SE are from the North too right? Reducing the problem afflicting Nigeria to be a Northern problem is pure ethnic bigotry disguised as solution. Every region is faced with its own problem, this is how the Southern states were missing out on funds meant for out of school children because the donors were meant to believe that out of school children is a Northern problem, not until Seyi Makinde made a strong case that close to his office they're out of school children wandering around the corner

I did my IT in a TV station and I know majority of interviews are staged. The questions are shown to the guests before they go on air and they have time to prepare their responses.

There may be spinoff questions while the interview is ongoing and that's that

I don't get this fixation on an aspirant getting "cross-examined" during interviews that are staged.
You did your IT in a TV station where interviews are staged. So interviews on CNN and BBC are also staged? If in your opinion interviews are staged and we have candidates that refuse to attend debates too, how then do you access a candidates policy direction? Is it by policy documents that can be written by another person?

But thinking of it ehh, I wonder what is giving you guys the confidence to say Tinubu will win Atiku in the North.

The same mouth that you people are using to say yorubas will vote for their son is the same mouth you are using to say the Northerners(NE/NW) will not vote for their son??

NE/NW are not so distinctively different enough for a NW person to say he won’t vote for a NE person or the other way round.
These people will even consider someone from Niger 1st as their person before they consider someone from the South and you people are confident that they will come out in support of Tinubu over Atiku??
Swears, and it's not like APCs government has been fantastic to anybody, so what's the incentive for these guys to vote for another APC candidate when they can try the PDP guy that's also from their region.

Obi is a Politician as Atiku, Tinubu and Co. If he's really different..... why did he leave APGA? What was he looking for in PDP?

What did he see in PDP that made him to join the Party? Same Party that looted the Country dry? Bokoharam and Co began under PDP. Vandalism of Oil Pipes began under PDP and so on.

Hence what motivated Obi to join that kinda Party? If its Soludo, SLS (MSII), or to some extent Osinbajo is the one you Guys are rooting for, I would have agreed with the "he's different" tag.

As if Mr Bello had a premonition of the kind of antics mischievous politicians like Jandor could be up to, he had in March urged the media to help educate the public that “sometimes when it rains heavily, it is natural to have flash floods which will percolate or drain off quickly, as is the case in different parts of the world. It is only when flood remains several hours after the cessation of the rains that one can report that flooding has occurred. I therefore wish to plead with the media to be more circumspect in the manner they report issue of flash flooding with banner headlines that could create panic”.

Nigeria would have become a one party Country without Tinubu..... this is fact.

If Tinubu is selfish and greedy, he would have joined PDP in 2003. He stayed back, formed a new Party (AC) keeps building it until the Party conquered all States in South West and Edo State.

Never stop until a Merger happened and PDP was kicked out of Power. Nigerians are having options today, thanks to Tinubu.

Why did Obi leave APGA? He completed 8years under same Party, yet left for PDP. Why didn't he stay back and help the Party to conquer South East Region?

It's very simple.... Someone has Interest to protect (Politics).

I was discussing with a colleague in Lagos yesterday. I wanted to know if there's overwhelming support for any particular aspirant.

He said its really difficult to say. That while you have die hard supporters of Tinubu on one hand, there are a lot of others who are pro OBI and that the Atiku faithfuls are also there.

Said maybe as the election draws closer there'll be more clarity but for now, it's difficult to say any aspirant has overwhelming support.
