There were also Yoruba/English songs and chants in the rally, so this is not a point. As of now, only one candidate has come out to sell his campaign with a tribal agenda and that's Bobo Chicago. raumdeuter: 1 Like |

I just wagered a bet that Tinubu will get 50% of SW votes and Atiku will get 50% of Northern Votes. How safe is my head? |

How many Igbo influencers/celebrities are supporting Tinubu? They said they are supporting Obi because he's young and all kinda bulllshit. Sowore campaigned in 2019, how many igbos supported him? Obi is being supported mainly by Easterners not because he's worth it .Trust me, if Obi isn't an Igbo man, they won't even consider him.. Since they have turned it into tribal politics, no one should come crying at the end.. Honestly,i don't have anything against Obi but the so called kids insulting Yorubas everywhere in Nigeria, think that will help their candidate. Ask Mr Obi to highlight poverty alleviating programs he has initiated in Anambra or elsewhere in Nigeria since he handed over to Obaino? I doubt there’s any. Apart from his talks online about the economy which I’m okay with, I see nothing else in his scorecard. 7 Likes |

Joezinho: How many Yoruba influencers are supporting Kwakwanso? There are Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa and Southern politicians/influencers supporting Atiku and Peter Obi, they are the only two candidates with a national spread. In fact, practically all the major Igbo politicians have come out to voice their support for Atiku, that's to tell you that Peter Obi's support is far from being an Igbo agenda, it's a national agenda. |

Joezinho:It will be funny if Obi gets 80% of SE votes, and anyone still accuses the north of tribalism in terms of voting. I was shocked that when yoruba actors declared support for Tinubu, people were crying tribalism, but if it is an Igbo star declaring support for PO, it is competence, I think it's double standards. it is just convenient, that obidients can use competence to cover the tribal elements of Obi's candidacy. I don't think tribalism is a bad thing per se, some people's sense of identity starts on a tribal level, so it is easier to trust and identify with someone who is from your tribe. Call it a flaw of democracy as practiced in Africa if you must, only a few below 20% of the population vote for no sentimental reasons and can fall into the category of educated voters. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Oasis007:I thought Northerners are the most tribalistic of the lots. I think I will wager on Tinubu winning too, if Atiku doesn't get 50% northern votes, I am afraid, it's Tinubu's victory. |

Emmynator:It's not tribalism when Igbos gave Obasanjo votes in 1999 and 2003, Yaradua votes in 2007 and Jonathan votes in 2011 but they dare give votes to Peter Obi in 2023 and it automatically becomes tribalism. Notice how the candidate the Igbos didn't vote for in 2015 and 2019 turned out to be an epic failure. 2 Likes |

Emmynator:The tribal war was spearheaded by this slogan "emilokan". i think the non-northerners are beginning to think once for themselves or rather trying to pull out from the relegation zone in politics courtesy obi movements. Who can you point to and boldly claim he is not tired by the way APC is running d country. The average non educated northerners are tired but they rather remains in power and suffer d consequences than every other persons, cos they live a very basic life...(a mat to sleep n maybe daily income of 1k). Tibubu might mean well for the masses but who is he going to work with? same set of thieves that have piloted /annihilated the affairsof d economy n left us with crumbs.... Obi is far from being a saint but i think he is d only gov that has left some huge amount (wch he can embezzle;maybe give other some kpaje to settle floor) to his succesor..might b wrong though This isnt a war of tribalism but breathing a new air.. we are tired and our hands are tied cos we have been burnt to to extent of worshiping 10k in a polling station... i think politics in NAIJA especially d presidency seat isn't really a game of numbers but plan.....Obi could probably win with d numbers but can he win d seat??.....court and almost everything is in d grip of tge APC-led administration who are hell-bent in finishing/destroying what d have started.. yeah .Tibubu isnt a fulani but if you are an accomplice;you are regarded as a thief. 1 Like |
