When I read his arguments, I struggle to see sense in it.
Is he trying to prove that moving Lagos up and down is better than a single IT job or two IT jobs, talkless of outsourcing multiple Jobs.

Is he trying to discredit IT jobs to credit Uber driving?

Well....
A descendant of slave trade will most likely, always have slave mentality.

Use inDriver on the mainland when Bolt is surging, you won't have issues with cancellations and traffic. You select your trips without issues.
Better prices at surging period with 9.5% commission. You keep more money, not like Bolt that you pay 25% commission and still threating to block your account because of cancellations.

Try this, you will enjoy sanity and freedom and still make reasonable money without stressing and damaging car all because you want accept trips to reduce cancellations

What is he complaining about. The light banters are still related to the thread. Some people are worn out from the days hustle or have been insulted by one olosho and that banter is what they need to lighten up the mood. Even me, the motor wey I buy a lot of things were stolen at the port and I was not happy about it. The banter helped lighten my mood especially the part about Musas education. cheesy

And yet, one killjoy who is most matured than every other person had to drop a snide remark when he could have just skipped the posts or unfollow the thread.

Sometimes you wonder what is wrong with some people.

The truth is this, from my experience driving with all major apps indriver's developers are very very smart thing guys followed by Uber.

Indriver app if you understand very well as a driver with many cheat you would agreed with me her developer actually thought outside of the moon b4 writing the programs for that app.

First, immidately you accept a ride on indriver the 10% commission is already waiting to be charged and once you arrive with the passenger indicated they're coming you are already been charged for that trip, paraventure you didn't embark on the trip for some reasons and you cancel the ride, (1) the commission already charged will either be refund after 30days or thereabout or may not be refund at all.

The reason for this is that, some drivers out of greed still cancel yet embark on the ride offline only to be refunded after a month or 7days. Poverty minded men.
So indriver developer understands this tricks many drivers use reason for that long wait refund so instead the wise once will simply just go on the trip instead.

So the best way to bet the system is not to arrive at all making sure your rider is prompt to PU b4 arriving even after getting to the PUP, so immidately you accept the rides get you facts cleared b4 moving to PU, some times I even arrive at the point where I accept the ride base on our convo over the phone to hold down the rider so they don't cancel and request another because once they do your chances of getting that same trip is slim.

This is why some riders will get angry a driver arrives even b4 getting to where they are.

So the point is, if you have doubt a rider will take too much if your time in coming out, first don't move, and if no call or nothing from them in terms of communication after accepting the ride then arrive and wait that same plont 5min then cancel because some riders are mischievous. Your money will only take 4-7days to come back to you

Know the modus operandi of a system so you can know how to beat it to your own advantage

The only problem.with indriver is the fare, out if that every other aspect is well thought out. Kudos to the developers of the app.

Meeeeen! I enjoyed reading this, thank you for the tips.

Na wa sha, are you really saying people would want to bypass indriver low commission? Wow! I never even thought of doing that because the commission is very reasonable on indriver.

I already employed your tip of not calling the rider, and it is supported in the literature indriver puts out, as regards to their refund policy. I remember reading something along the lines of if you call a passenger through the app, then the commission is already deducted. I am telling you I never even knew that and I had done over a 100 rides on indriver.

Your tips in a way though, promote unprofessionalism, but it seems with all these apps, you can't always be "professional", with their own unique slave labor algorithms, sigh.

For Bolt, they want you to take every ride, so drivers have to act unprofessionally by clicking arrived when they know that they are never going to that destination.

For Uber, you can't even see destination -- flying blind, so you have to act unprofessional and start calling the rider shouting "Where are you going oooo madam, didn't you hear me?"

Then indriver, oh indriver, the only app where you can come back with less money than when you left your house, as in, magic shit. So now instead of rushing to the riders destination as soon as I accept, I have to be unprofessional and stay put in the same spot till the rider calls me or replies to my in-app message, na wa.

There should be an app for complete driver freedom! , "but no one would be going to certain areas", that might be the argument. However, I do believe there is a driver for every rider, even if you are going to the middle of the ocean, there is a driver that also has to go home back to the ocean and will take you. That driver knows everything about the water and where all other cars sink inside, he knows a secret path that is safe for this car to pass and arrive safely in the middle of the ocean and on time too!

"It will take too long to get rides", it already takes long when a driver has to cancel or a rider has to cancel, wasting precious minutes. Why not remove all these rules and know that when a driver really accepts a ride, he/she is 110% committed to fulfilling it and providing excellent customer service.

Anyways, thanks bro, off to bed. Will see you guys next week, have a lot of car repair, hustling, reading and chores to do from now till Sunday.

May God bless you and all the commenters, drivers and the whole community.

I also wanted to know how people save for car repairs but never got an answer, I guess everyone here just "wings" it.

Still trying to use an envelope system sha, at least 1k per day for "car repair" inside an envelope, or at least 500 naira on everyday I drive. It is just soooooooooooooooooooooo slow, but I believe it's much better than nothing and hoping that nothing goes wrong with your car while driving.

So many things can go wrong with your car out of the blue, although they may all be "manageable" sha.

Like for instance, in addition to my shaking car (keep in mind I already replaced all mounts like 6 months ago documented on this thread), I was driving last 2 nights and someone told me outside my car that he thought I was an okada, I was like haba why? He said cause I only have one side of my lights working even with the full beams on.

So that means I lost both the low headlight bulb and the high headlight bulb, chai!

Yeah things can definitely go wrong, but we always pray for the best everyday.

Indriver has been my saving angel since Monday.
Yesterday when bolt was doing trash, I switched to indriver. Grossed 10k with less than 1k commission on it.
I think I'm getting used to indriver now, it has been saving me since on Monday when bolt was not making it work. cheesy
I will hustle with bolt on the island throughout today to regain my DS, then switch to mainland and migrate to Indriver cheesy
