Buhari is the obviously the worst civilian president in the history of Nigeria. It is not even debatable. It is clear to the blind, lame, deaf and dumb.

They asked the man for his plan to tackle insecurity

Obi: "You need to pull people out of poverty"

Interviewer: "so how will you create wealth?"

Obi: " by supporting small businesses. I am going to solve power problems in 5 years. I will not waste anybody time. I pray to God everyday to not allow me to get there if won't solve this problem"

How can you say that Buhari is better than Jonathan with a bold face? Buhari that has been a redundant figure for at least 5 years now?
After his illness that took him to London, the man decided that it is not Nigeria that will kill him and he mentally resigned and he left the country to be run by miscreants.

There has been plenty publications fact checking if Buhari made Nigeria worse or not. Maybe you haven’t seen any. Here is one -

https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/540682-fact-check-how-true-is-buharis-claim-that-nigeria-is-better-off-today-than-in-2015.html
Towards the beginning of this thread, I challenged someone similarly. I was in the mood then. He tried the insults route, failed and then did not respond again because if I challenge this on the face of facts, it will fall. Don't forget the Drug baron chants.

Let me tell you how it works mano a mano. If you find yourself arguing rice was N10000 in the past just do the same analysis going back to even before Obasanjo. Let us see how it will pan out. I can do same for insecurity, infrastructure, the economy etc.

Facts don't care about people's feelings.

Well tell that to bike men that used to buy brand new bikes for 100K during Jonathans tenure but now have to pay 600K for same, I'm sure they'd clap for you.
You were sounding more educated than this. Are bikes by any chance an imported good and will they be affected by the exchange rate?

So in your smartness you don't realize that there's a link between how a country manages it's monetary policy and the standard of living of its citizens?

Addressing root causes of terrorism are a smart way to go, not everything will be solved gungho style. Root causes like poverty and illiteracy when fixed will address issues of terrorism.

EndSARS massacre, EndSARS massacre. 100s of bodies. See this person's mother and all that nonsense.

We were here, showing facts and telling people to be bridled. They won't listen. Then time passed and govt offered compensation for victims. That is how we did not see family members of all the 100s of people that were massacred.

What about the mother story? Na so the thing die and then time proved me right...again.

Let me give you an example of an emotional factless response.

I agreed that Buhari failed, I only said Jonathan failed MORE. That is not exactly the same as Buhari did better. Most people on NL won't know this so I have to spell it out.

Second, even if I convince you what difference will it make? Neither is on the ballot. That is why I said please mention me after the elections when losers and winners will be decided and people's emotions would have waned. I promise you I'll be robust.

That's not a plan

What is the plan to address insecurity? You can't be talking about supporting small businesses with power when the business owners can't go to work on Mondays because of UGN, can't go to farm to grow produce because of UGM, can't transport goods long distance because of kidnappers etc...

So what is the plan?

Tinubu said he wants to massively recruit to the armed forces and obiomas laughed. But then Obi himself vomits some inane drivel about power, as if Nepa that is enforcing stay at home in Anambra.

Ermm… I don’t remember you answering my last question about the drugs saga.

Back to this, oya I posted an article abi? In that article, they just focused on 3 aspects: economy, security and corruption.
Can you apply your argument on just the economy part. You don’t need to go as far back as Obasanjo.

America is the richest country in the world and it was only yesterday you were showing us all the guns you have to tote for protection from criminals.

Opportunities for employment will not magically make a hardened armed robber drop gun and wear tie in a 9-5 hustle.

Joh creation will definitely help reduce the rate that NEW criminals are spawned, and may help in rehabilitation of ex-convicts, but right now we have situations where entire states are overrun by Bandits. Right now ESN is enforcing stay at home order to stop even the ones that have job from going to work.

What kind of job do you want to offer someone that is recieving tributes from entire towns every month?

You have to exterminate as many of those ones as possible, before you now offer a route out to repentant or aspiring Bandits.

I would have expected Obi to talk about masdively funding the military. Massively recruiting for police and significantly improving their quality of life to the point where you can't rent a whole ACP to do tailor work for you, or turn the local DPO into your recruiter agent for armed houseboys.

Obi is a clueless man abeg.

There's no how you try to spin it. Buhari is the most incompetent president in the history of this country.

The percentage increase in inflation, detoriating standard of living and insecurity under Buhari. Calling him a failure would be a disrespect to his predecessor in failure.

Buhari level of failure exonerate other perpetual failures, that some are previous government as good governance. The only silver lining of this administration is solid strife in terms of infrastructural development.

For e.g I don't expect the "greatest economy in Africa" to be borrowing to pay salaries. Do you remember?

There are different categories of criminals, Those who are career criminals and those who resort to crime when they don't have any other means
Even in America and anywhere in the world there is a marked difference in crime level in poor neighborhoods vs richer neighborhood. Crime in Ajegunle will be higher than VGC

To effectively curb insecurity, You have to tackle it from both sides. Enhance military capacity while creating opportunities for those who want to change.

I have shed light on why hiring 50K new youths into military is a good idea since we are grossly under policed at the same time the economy has to accommodate those who want to drop crime and work
