Well, Jesus is our model. He laid down His life for us to save us eternally. Living for Him and serving Him is the least we do in acknowledgement of His sacrifice for us.

The writer of the letter to the Hebrews wrote that instead to encourage Hebrew Christians to continue to gather during Holy assembly(Holidays) with their Hebrew brethren particular during such assemblies as the Holy assembly commanded by God in His Old Covenant in celebration of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, etc.

That suggestion has absolutely nothing to do with Gentiles or anyone who was not born in Israel.

You have absolutely no point at all. It should be obvious to you na. The same writer of Hebrews that describes the Law as "shadows of things to come." 10:1. How come he is suddenly teaching the same people to keep the unleavened bread? How's this adding up to you?


"The assembling of ourselves" it says. Not the "holy gatherings of our fathers." Not "unleavened bread." Not "holy convocation."

Assembling as used there is the Greek, episunagōgē. It means physical MEETING. The early church right from time had a culture of regular meetings. Acts 2:46. 5:42. 6:1. 1 corith 11:18, 11:20 and so on...

The following expression in the same text lets us see it is a regular new testament gathering. "but exhorting one another..." You don't exhort one another in the Holy Convocations of the old testament. They were rather ritualistic. This one is a Christian church.

Nothing in the whole book indicates that the writer was teaching them to keep or observe the ordinances of the old testament. It's weird chipping that in from nothing.
