ttaiwoolajide: I am sorry, just having a second look at your message. I was advising on the assumption you applied for a visit visa and got a decision. If you applied for a study visa and your application is still running, I would like to ask what you indicated when filling out your form. Did you declare you are self-sponsored, or would you also be sponsored by someone else? The details you filled in your IMM form would be able to guide if there is an opportunity to send an additional statement to IRCC. |

Hello gurus in the house, I arrived in Canada in January 2022, we applied for a visiting visa for my husband and daughter in January but this was refused in February. Another application for Open Work Permit and visiting visa was submitted in February, we noticed eligibility started today for the OWP but the Visiting visa for my daughter was denied today with reason - ''the purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application''. My daughter will be 5 in December. Do we need to apply for a study visa for her? I must also add that we submitted a Visiting Visa application in June for my husband and daughter because he will be on vacation in August, the visiting visas application are still active. Thank you |

Hello People, I don't know why IRCC want to frustrate people like this..I have ordered GCMS Note twice now but no progress as of now...1st GCMS-May 10th, 2nd GCMS-June 6...what else can I do? Today is the 127th day I submitted my application.... Can I apply from UK as I am currently on my vacation? I wonder if that would be faster... thanks guys 1 Like

kennyliza: Sorry, about the delay. UK would only be a good idea if you have ties to the UK that would compel you to depart Canada like a fulltime job. Having a travel history is a plus too, If you have travel history before submitting your application like to the UK and you did not violate the terms of your stay. It can work in your favour. I wish you a positive decision. |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by letsfarmnigeria: 9:42pm On Jul 13, 2022 |
kennyliza: Current processing time as someone posted is 156 days and you have spent 127 have patience atleast for now to 29 days because if you start a new application it may take more than the 29 days processing time remaining for you and what strong ties do you have in the UK that will convince the VO that you will not violate you VV visa conditions , well just think about it and make the best choice 1 Like |

Hi @olasubomy thank you for your support so far. if biometrics is done outside the country of residence, is it not good for the application? Some of us waited for BIL and got it quite late. when received I was on vacation and had to do it immediately as I have little time before my event. What do you advise I do since biometrics was done outside country of residence? Do I need to send any mail or webform? 1 Like 1 Share |

Submitted an application from UK since June 15 no response. Processing time has never exceeded 10days from UK since I applied. Maybe they are treating it as an application from Nigeria… olasubomy: 1 Like |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by olasubomy: 1:52am On Jul 14, 2022 |
hazzaman: Yeah, most likely since your primary place of residence is in Nigeria and you are a Nigerian national. Canada does share information with the United Kingdom on Immigration issues, so they will see that you have a record of travel history to the UK. As long as you defended your home ties and no violations in your previous travels and met other requirements, they should give it to you. Generally, I have been reading concerns from people on delays in visit visa applications. Just keep hope alive. It will end in praise! 2 Likes |

meeyna: I saw you sent me an e-mail. I am sorry, I was really occupied. The objective of biometrics is to get data on fingerprint and iris capturing ( your eyes) and to share these with all the migration partners. The USA. UK, Australia and New Zealand. The aim is to prevent those who have committed serious crimes or violated immigration laws in another country to enable more informed decisions on visas and admissibility. This data is what they use in running your background checks and criminality. I don’t think it impacts the processing or outcome of the visa application; the outcome depends on your unique profile and the information you submitted. All the best! 1 Like |

Hi everyone, my issue is that in 2021, I was denied a south African visa, their reason, Documents and bank statements lack credibility. Now, I want to apply to the UK for a student visa. But I'm not sure if I should include the previous visual refusal since it's not UK, Canada or US. I feel if I include it, they might want to investigate further and this might reduce my chance of getting a refusal. Has anyone done this before |

bolabillionaire: Declare ALL refusals. It'll have no effect on the decision in your UK application. |

Hi folks I want to ask a question here. I got married to a usa citizen and my American wife want to study her PhD in canada. What kind of visa can i apply for Note: we haven't file for us permanent residence and i live and work here in Nigeria Thanks |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by olasubomy: 5:06pm On Jul 15, 2022 |
kaycome: 1. She can start by reaching out to professors who would be willing to supervise her. Some of them do have funding. It would be too late for FALL Intake now because summer classes are rounding up in schools. Read a lot of Lekiboboe Post in CANADA STUDENT THREAD. You will learn a lot from his post and how to approach supervisors with a COLD MAIL. 2. She would still need to apply normally for study permit. The good thing is she might not get that strict scrutiny meted out on Nigerian applications. if she has good home ties in the United States and meets the requirements, her applications might be processed very fast She can first try to get a supervisor to have some funding. 3. You can also reach out more to Canada Student Thread to ask them more questions relating to study so i dont abuse the use of this thread and limit to visit visa enquiries, I wish you guys the best! |

Hello pals It's been long I noticed approval for Spouse VV Few months ago, this was not the case and the process via the new portal was very fast. These days, my observation has been totally different. I don't know if it's the same experience with others in the house. I speak specifically with respect to spouses applying for VV. What could be responsible please? |
