Arsenal has reportedly join the race to sign bassey. Ajax hv put in a bid of 19m pounds with add ons while Brighton are ready to pay 16m pounds but rangers are holding out for a fee of 25m. An agreement between Ajax and rangers likely to happen next week

Meanwhile unconfirmed report has it that the likes of psg, Madrid and man united are also interested but yet to put in a bid

Bassey to Ajax likely to happen next week

Replace Cucurella at LB or Martinez at Ajax.

Despite UCL football, Brighton is the better option.

I prefer Ajax because it will be the perfect platform for him to make the leap to bigger clubs in europe if he impresses

Why's that so??

Aside Ajax being regular participants in the UCL,they are also one of the most if not the most sought after clubs when it comes to transfer.. Every season, their top players join big clubs..

Preseason Injury Update: Ndidi injured again

Brendan Rodgers confirms that Wilfred Ndidi who only recently made a return to full training with the group after recovering from a knee operation, done since March, picked up a fresh injury in training... an ankle injury this time.

This explains why he isn't a part of Leicester's ongoing Preseason fixture vs OH Leuven.

Brendan hopes Ndidi will be able to return to training by next week.

Sad. Wishing him fresh recovery.

The exposure of the EPL cannot be overstated, brother.
And this is no Norwich or Fulham, but Brighton, who are one of the most adventurous teams in the league.

In my opinion, not true, brother.
Ajax's only allure is guaranteed UCL football. That's about 6 games for him to perform well.
Nobody is interested in what you do against the farmers in Eredivisie.

At Brighton, he has 38 games in the biggest league in the world to perform well.
This is also closer exposure to the English big 6, which is the end goal of every player, especially Nigerians.

More importantly, this lad is home grown, so has much more appeal in England.

Change of scene and language is another factor.

After one or two years, he will be agitating to leave Netherlands, but he can comfortably play in Brighton for 3+ years without seeking a move.

Through their official website, Eredivisie giants PSV Eindhoven have announced that exciting teenage central defender Emmanuel van de Blaak has extended his contract with the club.

The new agreement will keep Van de Blaak at the Philips Stadion until June 30, 2025.

PSV have demonstrated their huge faith in the talented Dutch-Nigerian defender as he was offered a new deal despite still recovering from an ACL injury that has kept him sidelined since November 2021.

Van de Blaak previously worked with the current PSV head coach Ruud van Nistelrooij, who handed him his U21s debut against FC Den Bosch in August 2021 at the age of sixteen

Prior to his spell on the sidelines, he totaled eleven appearances for Jong PSV in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie - level 2 in the Dutch football pyramid.

He spent the formative years of his career with the youth teams of JEKA and Willem II before joining the PSV Academy in the summer of 2020.

Van de Blaak has been promoted to PSV U21 side ahead of the 2022-2023 season.

If Daniel Bachmann would be Watford number one then Maduka should seek for another loan, possibly back to Dutch league.

No Ndidi.... honestly I thought by now Ndidi would be Nigeria most sought after player even ahead of Osimehn.Quick recovery boy.

with Ajax he has a better opportunity to move to one of Europe’s elite teams if he impresses between 2-3 seasons

I don’t know why you all re obsessed with the epl, maybe because it is one of the leagues one can gain easy access to watch in Nigeria. If I were to be him I will reject Ajax only for epl big boys such as Spurs, city, man united,Arsenal, man city,Chelsea, liverpool or new money bags Newcastle.

Epl mid table teams will only pay him better but for the progression of his development as a young player Ajax is the best side for him looking at how they hv nurtured unknown talents from obscurity to stars shipped to big clubs in europe and bassey all its takes talent wise to attract such move with Ajax

I bet you that if bassey stars in the ucl in the next 2-3 seasons the likes of Bayern, man united, juve, inter,Liverpool, psg will come calling

I think with time we will grab few of them in the nearest future. Our youth teams assembles once in 2 or 3 years and are not well funded when it comes to paying for flight tickets for this lads to come in and fight for a shirt in any of the youth teams. In europe youth teams assembles every international window to train, play friendlies or cup qualifications unlike what is obtainable here so it is very easy for these kids to get noticed by their country of birth youth team trainers as well as capping them

If you are a parent in europe will you accept to pay for your kid’s traveling expenses just to come for training with any of the youth teams and end up not been selected? This is one of the issues the nff has to tackle inorder to catch this kids when they re yet to reach stardom
