I am shock at the quality of your arguments. When we talk of privacy, we are not even about the location, but private/personal space. That's why I attached the screenshot of what I mean by private/personal space. You stubbornly keep talking about a restaurant being a public space.

Then you go on interpreting freedom of speech yo mean you can hurl insults at others, which I explained to you can be termed provocation

Screenshots from the Internet that have nothing to do with the discussion mean nothing, especially when I spent several years studying law here in America. If I wasn’t unable to interpret the law, I wouldn’t have a license to practice it.
You are trying to engage me in a game of semantics but I’m going to kindly decline your invitation. Thank you and Goodbye.

You can’t stop anyone from filming you in America if you are out in a public space. The president is filmed by citizens and cannot stop them. It’s within their rights.

It was plain stupid and wrong for the guy to have recorded him without his permission. And asking him "...are you Aregbesola..." is disrespectful. You already know who he is, why ask that? Many of you support what you cannot take forming wannabe American "I know my right". If Aregbesola had smashed that phone, he would have been right, even in America.

Even with this evidence, Aregbesola can sue him.

What you just told me is that your Nigerian public servants in are inaccessible to the public that they serve. I’m sad that Nigerians normalize that.
That's the reality of third world countries. Government officials and the governed live in two different universes. Whether we normalised it or not, that's the reality.

Now can we change that. Yes we can. But the problem is the governed are too divided, ignorant and fearful to do anything. They can only resort to religion, drugs, alcohol, crime, social engagements, etc to give their lives any meaning.

Aregbesola would’ve been promptly arrested for destruction of property and possibly assault. He has no legal grounds to sue the person recording him.

Get a life? You think everybody back home is cursed because they are back home?

Very funny!
Presently, I am in Warri with my kids and wife and my business is doing well both in Warri and Port Harcourt. By Monday I will join them back in Port Harcourt and it continues like that.

I built my life without help from anybody. Lots of friends in diaspora but I have and will never ask anyone for any form of assistance. Again, my level of superiority complex can never allow me envy them.

With lots of you guys it's only obvious you are in a developed country but your reasoning has refused to develop. A clear case of taking the boy out of the village but not been able to take the village out of the boy.

the guy that recorded aregbesola here in the U.S have reasons for doing it do you know my younget brother apply for passport since December last year till now he has no gotten it why cos of bad govt and aregbesola happens to be the minister of interior the earlier you guys wake up from your slumber and begin to hold the govt accountable the better for you,
if you stays uptown you will know how decay naija Is but we have to join hands and fix it cos there is no other home than naija he no concern me syndrome is an attribute of why we are still in this level, so it was wrong of you to say must guys living in the diaspora are stupid.

Most Nigerians in America are very funny.
The Bushman was hard shouting this is America , but he was seen violating someome else's privacy

There's no privacy in a public space.... no permission needed for recording anyone. The politician should know this. The one recording shouting this is America this is not Nigeria .... and the woman.... believe they can shout anytime any place. I'm almost sure that video ended because Police were called. The management wouldn't have them scaring away customers. The guy can be charged for disturbing the peace.

And we wonder why Nigerians are treated differently abroad.

By your words, I can tell that you’re a person who has learned and value what real freedom and rights are and stand for. I think some of these monikers can’t understand it because they’ve never experienced it.

If Aregbesola was a good man, wouldn't he be met with excitement by the guy recording him. The guy will even volunteer to pay for his meal. Imagine if it was the late Mandela that was eating there. People will climb ontop themselves to have the rare privilege of paying for his order.

And you think the most sensible way to get common international passport or get the country on the right path is by heckling government officials overseas?

If you are not ashamed of Nigerians always causing nuisance in foreign lands, I am. We should not be fighting our political dirty fights in other people's lands.

they have to be shamed and bully bro cos politicians are our greatest enemy let them stay in their country and fix things well naija have all the resources.

I did not say most guys. I said a handful and I stand by it.

Now, look at your submission about passport difficulty, what if he has melted such question to the minister of interior while on vid?

Do you know very recently the Minister mandated that expired passport should be accepted to allow Nigerians back to the country with ease?

Do you think I am in support of the rot we have in the system today? I can never support that but all I am saying is that the man should have seized the opportunity to expose the Minister's ineptitude if truly you believe he is.

As far as I am concern his approach was not the best but this is me, every other person is free to think otherwise.

Do you think it was a conference hall or hotel? To me, it looked like a conference hall or restaurant inside of a hotel, the kind where meals and maybe banquets are served throughout the day but I could be wrong. I know you called me Eatalian but now I’m hungry. grin

This is the Minister for interior that cannot protect anyone in the interior of Nigeria and he's enjoying Nigeria money in the exterior?

I don't believe politicians are are greatest enemy, to me Nigerians are our greatest enemy. The politicians are afterall Nigerians. We have a culture of throwing up the worst of us to lead us. whether in the the political, religious, societal or traditional leadership, the worst of us leads the best of us. Most politicians were suspected criminals with questionable academic and family background. MostG.Os/pastors were once confessed/suspected criminals. Same thing with Obas, Emirs, Obis, etc. If you are upright with impeccable record, you can never get into leadership position in Nigeria - Any leadership position.

The problem is our moral and value system. A value system that promote get rich through any means necessary and worships unexplainable and unmerited wealth as against hard work, honesty and technology is bound to produced a failed society.
