It's very possible for him to get paid and not get an SMS notification. So, if it's possible, let him check through the Bank app.

Who told you that, I received the money last year and they have started the deduction already. Your only saving grace will be not to have any money saved in any of your bank accounts. If not you will be forcefully debited whether you like it or not.

Read the agreement for the loan very well there is a clause there where they stated what will happen if you did not pay back. Also how much is the 250k that you will want to spoil your credit score.
