It Is Not Too Late For Tinubu And Apc. by MikoB: 8:42am On Jul 18, 2022
I am writing this article base on the recent happenings in the political space in nigeria. As some people already know that I am a staunch supporter of the the vice president in person of Prof Yemi Osinbajo and I will always support him, I have also made it known recently that Osinbajo will come back and that he is the only hope and life to the ruling APC if they had given him the ticket, anyway let me move to the topic of this article, it is just an advise to Tinubu and Apc, that can help them to turn the misfortune that is about to happen to them around, I know pride and arrogance may not allow them to accept all what I am going to write here, there is one adage in Yoruba tongue, that says Omo Eni ko sedi bebere kafi ileke si idi omo elomi, meaning even if your child is not beautiful that does not mean you will beautify an outsider against your child, recently most Tinubu supporters that know me in person have approached me they even pleaded that I should be part of their meeting when Tinubu came here to france recently but I refused, I am a principled person, I am not a person that will be cajoled not to speak his mind, so that was the reason I stayed out, the one that touched me the most happened yesterday so I told him I will give an open and public advise to Tinubu and Apc, and this will be the best I can do at this particular point in time.
1)Tinubu should not take the defeat in Osun as one of those political talk that you win some and loose some, what is happening is far behond that, it is a sign of anger in people against the apc led govt generally.

2)Tinubu and his handlers should not try to play smartness by looking for a way to outsmart Inec and every other law enforsement agencies, since these agencies blocked some loopholes in Osun elections.

3)Tinubu should not rely on Buhari and the federal power because this might not come.

4)Tinubu should go on genuine reconciliation among the aggrieved party members, he should humble himself and approach the VP in a manner that can pacify him and find a way to make him the campaign chairman of the election with this, the Christian community can be rest assured and I am sure this will swing at least 20 to 30 percent Christians back to him.

5)the last and the most important, it concerns the performance of governance in Lagos State, Tinubu should know that since nigerians have lost hope in the federal govt, Tinubu needs lagos state to prove a point, but the lagos state govt has been a dissapointment but fortunately for Tinubu and Apc, they still have 8 months to go before the election, I will advise him to encourage sanwo olu to start the 4th mainland bridge, I will also advise them to mobilise contractors to all the abandoned constructions sites all across the state, they should also start immediately giving soft loans to the market women and the vulnerables, I know some will say that is vote buying no it is not, it is better than waiting for the election day to give 10k why can't you give the 10k legally now, I will also advise the stakeholders to learn how to talk reasonably to the people to soften their heart but not with arrogance and rudeness.

With all what I have stated above if Tinubu and Apc take some of the advise I am sure it will be helpful in the coming election, and after winning the election all the positive programmes must not stop they will have to continue with them, so that the nigeria population will have no reason to be angry at any govt. Thank you

Sorry to say this, but bad market is bad market.

It is what it is.

Old age

Failing health

Hanging corruption cases

Hanging criminal allegations

Education inconsistency

Identify shrouded in mystery

No visible achievements

Alienation of some regions

All these and more has wrecked the APC candidacy. Tinubu is sadly not a major contender in the upcoming elections, an Osinbajo will be very unwise to reconcile with APC presidency after sitting aside and watching what happened in his administration, supporting another disaster in the making will be an unpardonable mistake on his part.

Nothing spoil about Tinubu's presidency in SW.

The first thing to consider is the number of voters which is encouraging

Secondly at least 30% of those who voted for Adeleke in Osun Guber election will vote for Tinubu

Thirdly, the unnecessary attacks on Tinubu and Yoruba's in general will germinate the already sentiments on the ground

You getting it wrong. People(mostly SS and SE) see Tinubu as a threat to democracy which I agree with them. Honestly Tinubu can't change cos his style of governance(deploying thugs) has been favouring him and now he is an old man.
If not the soldiers that went to arrest the NURTW leader in Osun the man would have bn used by BAT to cause menace.

Baba, there's no hope that anyone will vote Tinubu in the coming elections, be frank to yourself. People now vote candidates, so Oyetola is even a bit preferred to voters than a fast aging Tinubu.

If Tinubu ever enters Aso Rock, you will see a worse president, people who struggle to win Nigerian presidency just to mark their CV as ex president, damning the consequences of what happens to the rest if us. A Tinubu will be living abroad, while the worst form of bad government will be unleashed on Nigerians by those around the corridors of power, all for their own profit.

Vote for a set of credible candidates who will stand up and rescue this country from the slide down the slippery path of destruction.

God bless Nigeria.

Agreed, but if there is consistency in performance henceforth, all these assumptions might change, I understand Tinubu is not liked in the SS and SE even so many yorubas have their reservation too, now that votes are now counting, all these bad governance from the politicians will reduce and will also humble them.

While your points are valid, it's up to the SW to decide what they want. If APC loses next year, na the SW go suffer am. We saw it under pdp.

Our political correctness and too much book is our problem in the SW. How well are the pdp states faring especially in the SS and SE but still they stick to pdp for self preservation. That is what the SW does not understand. How well is Edo state doing even after switching to pdp. is it that the pdp in the whole of SS or SE does not have internal problems like APC in the SW. In Lagos state apart from fashola, the other governors after him have not been too impressive, do you blame that on tinubu?

My take is that the SW for all I care can continue to foolishly join other parts of the country to demonise tinubu, na dem go suffer am. I was also rooting for osinbajo and wished for him to get the ticket but since he did not get it, why should I join non yorubas to pull tinubu down, I dey craze? Is tinubu not yoruba? is Obi an angel? Do you see any igbo man publishing the dirty side of Obi? Make SW no get sense all because they are aggrieved with each other. 4)Tinubu should go on genuine reconciliation among the aggrieved party members, he should humble himself and approach the VP in a manner that can pacify him and find a way to make him the campaign chairman of the election with this, the Christian community can be rest assured and I am sure this will swing at least 20 to 30 percent Christians back to him

In Lebano, Christian leaders like Osinbajo aided the spread of Islam, that Lebanon, who were predominantly Christians are today 80%muslim abd are oersecuting the remaing Christians. How did it start, Kebanon keadership decided to help displaced Paletinian muslims, boom, hete they are.
In Turkey, a country tgat was 100% Christians with the historical biggest church was conquered by weapons made by Christians. We, Nigerian Christians cannot allow 24 continuous reign by Islamists. No tagyya will persuade us. If Osinbajo mounts any pulpit to spill any evil, we will stone him.

No advice should be taken for granted, moreover, SW is different from other part of the country, no governor is guaranteed a second term, if the people don't want you, there's little thing you can do, except for Lagos, no one can predict the outcome of any election in Yoruba land, Fayose couldn't deliver pdp likewise fayemi may not be able to handover to a apc candidate, Makinde's second term is shaking forget media hype, unlike ibos that blindly follows pdp

Fashola had problem with Tinubu when he wanted the second term, every other Governor that came after him tried not to offend him, the problem with sanwo olu is that he settles the party chieftains including Tinubu himself at the expense of lagosians, if you want him to man up that means he will offend Tinubu, so the best thing is for Tinubu himself to realise this and ask Sanwo olu to commence with the Infrastructural developments.

It's still easy for makinde to cash in on the hatred for tinubu to win second term, very easy, osun has embolden all anti tinubu forces in the SW. But like I said I don't even care. With all the boko aram attacks, APC still wins borno Yobe and other northern states.

It's fallacy to think people vote because of performance. All na lie. SW is deceiving itself. Osun has never know good governance be it under PDP or APC, same for Oyo with APC even having an edge in terms of ajumobi performance. I am happy that you accepted that people are angry with Tinubu, that is the reason I stated that him and other stakeholders need to soften people's heart, this is easy to do, and the only way is good performance, just imagine if it was the era of fashola that we have this contest, Tinubu would have just strolled in into the aso rock easily, because with Fashola performance Ac and acn were able to take back all other sates in the SW and edo, Fashola performance was a template for other states in nigeria, and guess who was honoured the most with the performance, it was Tinubu.

Thank you
