These APC folks here are mentally deranged. That can be the only explanation for people supporting that party. How will a party fail in every single area of governance and you still want them back in? No be voodoo be that? Even this fair INEC which Buhari is being praised for, I see it as a product of having 2 big parties. APC know that PDP has rigging capacities in their states while PDP knows APC has rigging capacities in their states which is why both came together to create a level playing ground, nothing else. Apart from curbing rigging, they also curbed post primary party defections so that both will no longer lose prominent members to each other.

This electoral law that benefits the masses came about as a means of self preservation for the parties. APC is a failure.

Only dark souls and evil people want a continuation of APC and those who brought this present govt into power....

With regards to that dominant religion issue everybody is just guessing cos we don't have proper census figures on that. What i know is that it is quite close to 50-50.

So you think it's possible for people to be tired of Buhari but not APC?

You think that someone with clear eye will go and vote for a party that has totally failed again?

Please tell me as outsider why I should support Tinubu? Sell him to me please. I would like to hear from him.

I don't go about selling candidates. I want everyone to vote for candidates of their choice.. Nor be cult we wan join. Follow your heart.. His efforts in Lagos state speaks a lot and besides google is your friend.

Let the people decide. No more rigging. I don't want supporters of other political opponents to come crying when Tinubu wins..

The Chinese military is just over 2 million persons and India has about 1.4 million members of its population in its military.
kofimoses:
This is just funny. grin grin

People are actually defending the sheer nonsense uttered by tinubu. Recruit 50 MILLION YOUTHS.

Do you people know what 50 million is?
Somebody here is saying that people love the military, well yeah, maybe 100 thousand people, definitely NOT 50 MILLION YOUTHS!

Even the bandits in Africa are not up to 1or 2 million at most! And someone is saying recruit 50 million youths and you're one of those clapping in the crowd. Shame.

Naa, he meant what he said.

“Recruit 50 million youths into the army, take away from their (the insurgents)recruitment source,” he said.

The only way he can take away from their recruitment source with this strategy is to mass enrol everyone into the military.

Tinubu intends to build a 50 million army, without realizing that other sectors of the economy need people too.

Even when he clarified that he meant 50K you insist he meant 50M?

“He believes that the more job opportunities are presented to our youth the less some of them will be tempted into illegal and dangerous activities.

“As part of this overall approach, he believes that eligible youth should be recruited into the armed forces, police and other security agencies to augment the functional capacity of our security apparatus thus ensuring the better security and safety of our people.

Asiwaju seeks the expansion of security personnel by 50,000 for the armed forces, not the 50 million that was mentioned in error. It was an accidental verbal mistake of which we all commit from time to time especially when reciting a series of large numerical figures.

Crazy that Jonathan's worst performing year was still better than Buhari's best performing year, and this best Performing year he achieved only after 7-8 years of governance.

Was it mentioned in error or he just didn't know what he was saying? I included the context of his speech to show it wasn't like some slip of the tongue.

“Recruit 50 million youths into the army, take away from their (the insurgents)recruitment source,” he said.

If Nigeria has a 50 million-man army that's pretty much its entire youth population, Boko Haram and all other insurgents are automatically starved of recruits. The insurgents are defeated and so is every other aspect of the Nigerian state.

There is a certain logic to what Tinubu said, it's the consequence that wasn't thought out.

50K youth recruited into the army is 50K youths denied BokoHaram, ESN, Bandits and other petty criminals

Tinubu said he had a slip of tongue and used 50K instead fo 50M. So what exactly is the problem

How does adding 50K persons to the army take away from their recruitment source when there are still over 50 million youths on ground for Boko Haram to harvest armies from?

It's like you have a full plate of rice at your front then I say I want to starve you by removing five grains from it.
