abuzz33: Being a good administrator does not come from what profession you practice. It's a natural gift and inborn instinct. Everything is not about education. Obi was a great administrator and he wasn't an Engineer. Lawyer nor a Doctor. Soludo is a world renowned economist and you think he doesn't understand governance? Relax 2 Likes |

oneeast: I find it strange when people say Soludo doesn't know what he is doing and that he will fail....its very disturbing. Almost as though they want him to fail. Even if you add juju Soludo will still do well. He might have some shortcomings but he will deliver because he is starting very well. Anybody who is saying Soludo will not succeed is definitely not following what is happening in Anambra period. 5 Likes |

Abuzz the unknown gunmen were the disengaged agberos. Pple said they were also present at the protest last week. The Agberos are the major cause of security lapses in Anambra. Soludo will deal with them and they will later tender apology letter just like the fake PTA teachers did after tarnishing the image of the commissioner of edu with propaganda. It is a step by step thing. Losers will later tender apology letters 2 Likes |

Decongestion of roads commences in Onitsha Main Market following Soludo's orders By Rita Okonkwo Awka, Monday 18th July 2022 (MOI) All the illegal structures and shop extensions erected on the tarred roads along Bright Street and White House axis inside Onitsha Main Market were removed on Sunday 17th July. The leader of the demolition taskforce, and Provost of the market Mr Felix Umerah said that the exercise was carried out in compliance with the directives of Anambra State Governor Prof Charles Soludo. Umerah, also a trader in Main Market disclosed that the governor had ordered all market executives in the State to decongest every entrance roads into their various markets to make way for free flow of human and vehicular movements. "We are removing all the shop attachments and projections that block roads causing obstruction to movements to and fro this market, and reduce our level of sales and patronage from our customers". Speaking to the government officials from Ministry of Commerce and Industry that visited the site, the Secretary of the market Mr Obijekwu Ifediora complained that some traders abandoned their shops to display their wares on the tarred roads, making movements along the roads almost impossible. "We mobilized a joint taskforce with some security apparatus to rid the market roads of all obstructions, and to send these traders and hucksters back into their respective shops. "As you can see, two vehicles can now overtake each here, there will be normal and peaceful movements of humans and vehicles in these roads again. This is how roads ought to be ". Another member of the decongestion committee Hon Victor Adizi thanked Governor Soludo, and the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry Dr Obinna Ngonadi for the good works they are doing in the State. He said that the governor's directive being enforced will create a conducive environment for business to thrive in Main Market. He called on the State government to give them a written authority to also clear Bida and Sokoto roads where some locals protest over jurisdiction of territory. 4 Likes |

abuzz33:This clown does not want to rest. The same bitter Obaze that was defeated by Obiano in his own LGA served as Obiano's SSG for over 3 years, so if Obaze was why Peter Obi was successful why was he not also the reason Obiano was successful? how many years did he serve under Obi govt. Then you foolishly jumped and praised Soludo's commissioner of finance as the only experienced commissioner in Soludo cabinet without knowing he also served as Obiano commisioner for finance his entire 8 years tenure. You peter obi noisemakers should go and look for inexistent projects to sell him to Nigerians instead of this obsession with Obiano. Everyday its Obiano this and that for someone you said he failed. The entire Nigerians have now seen Obiano is far ahead of Obi in achievements thats why you have practically left Obi's hopeless ambition to obsess about Obiano that is enjoying his retirement. We dont see you fools in threads asking for Peter obi achievments as governow despite coming here to hide here and tell us he was successful 4 Likes 2 Shares

abuzz33:Mad man, Anambra is still the least indebted state in Nigeria. Infact Soludo is proposing to borrow 100 billion which is a little over twice the local debt Obiano left behind but you want to deceive yourselves with lies as usual. In perspective. Obiano paid more workers salaries than Obi, paid bonues to workers which Obi never paid and hence was able to reduce poverty rate in the state from over 55% during the ill fated Obi tenure with Obaze to 14%! He was the first governor to construct community projects in all communities in Anambra state which saw Ndi Anambra richer during his tenure with recession and low oil prices than during Obi's tenure with oil boom and no recession! Then lets not even talk about projects, after you lunatic swore he would abandon the Anambra Airport, its a pity you have no shame, you still come here to deceive illiterates with your kindergarten economics. No amount of twisting of facts by you liars will remove the fact that Anambra was 100% better during Obiano's tenure than it is currently and during Obi's tenure. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Obiano is not the one being exposed to Nigerians by decieving himself saying he'scontesting presidency but instead of you to sell your god Obi to Nigerians you are still here talking about obiano that is enjoying his retirement. Soludo should be commended for taking the bold step to embark on demolition of illegal structures in the state. Ndi Anambra have always expected this to happen. Before Obiano it looked like it was impossible to effect Okada ban in Anambra but he did that. The demolition should be extended to Awka, Nnewi etc to make room for wide roads, proper drainage and mass transit system. Also if the loan will be used to build dual carriage roads in the state not just single lane then its in order. 5 Likes 1 Share |

abuzz33:You would expect educated people to make educated statements but instead what we have are paid hacks who instead of promoting their sponsor to nigerians to elect him are president are busy obsessing over obiano that handed over, cleared himself with EFCC and enjoying his retirement. Obiano governed Anambra for 8 years and kept the state as top 3 in fiscal performance (even though we know they dont understand these words) till he handed over but yet these illiterates want to disturb us here how he looted the state. If Obiano should be probed and prosecuted for maintaining top 3 for 8 years in fiscal performance, what should then happen to the rest 33 governors behind him? Also note that Anambra was not even anywhere in top 10 during their sponsor Obi tenure. These charlatans need mental evaluation because this is madness obviously. 4 Likes 1 Share

globemoney01: i think obis style is more oriented toward administration than building. He doesn't build too much but he manages what is built well, which is a bigger aid to a state than anything. So instead of adding schools (which he did), he changed the way schools were administered so they work better. Sometimes we fixate on buildings as the only form of development and building or 'projects' is less than 10% of it. that is my opinion anyways, where can i find corn biko. 2 Likes |
Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by globemoney01: 6:11pm On Jul 18, 2022 |
Ofodirinwa:You are very well entitled to your opinion but I disagree. Development is about building mostly but reforms are also important. I think the purpose of the state assembly should be mostly for reforms while the executive is building. The most developed nations in the world developed mostly by building not only management. Jobs are created by building. If you read Soludos article on Obi tenure he said Obi was saving money while the people were dying of hunger. Records show Anambra poverty rate under him was 55% because he was managing and not building. Anambra Airport for instance is now advertising for jobs, after creating direct jobs during building. That’s what governance is about. Govt money belongs to the people. 2 Likes |

globemoney01: fair, and there's a lot of what you said that I agree with but development is not about building. You can build all the buildings in the world but what they do and how they're managed determines their use. For example, governors love building schools but few tell you about fixing curriculum. In the end of the day the school is just a collection of walls. Those walls are necessary but far less essential than the actual teaching. I live in the US. The government concerns it's self with administering (governing), the private sector does the building. Gov will send out contracts and once the contractor builds or starts building, they concern themselves with administrating and regulating the process. This is why governors are making an impact in the lives of people. All of the noise Soludo is making about cleanliness, if he required people to clean their property or be fined, they issue will be be fixed in 1 month. This is developing through administrating. But administering is the focus of someone that wants to solve a problem. Building is to show you that they are solving a problem. So when the emphasis is on building, we get the type of governors we get. Poverty is not eradicated through building, smart polices will do a lot more. It was regulatory decisions that saved Nigerian telecoms. Prior everyone was building and building to no avail. Think of how much de-regulation and smart leadership can do to kick start real industry in Nigeria and how little gov. building factories has done towards that goal 2 Likes |

Ofodirinwa:I understand the point you are making but we really cannot compare a developed country to a state in a developing country. America has built over the years that they now have robust private sectors that can build, we still lack such in Nigeria. We still need to build to attract a robust private sector. I’m not saying reforms are not important but for a state that is less than 30 years we still have a lot to build and we will actually spend more building in future than right now. 2 Likes |

I supported Soludo wholeheartedly to become Anambra Governor because I trusted my instincts that he will be very ambitious and forward thinking when it comes to raising finance(big borrowing), innovative tax regimes and urban renewal and he has not disappointed me. Anambra needs mega projects like former Governor Obiano delivered and it is heartwarming Soludo is continuing on that path. 6 Likes |
Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by Ofodirinwa: 8:27pm On Jul 18, 2022 |
globemoney01: The comparison is fair, America was built, from the beginning, by it's private sector. The idea of the government building things is probably a carry over from the UK and colonialism. The US was built from top to bottom by the private sector minus highways, admin buildings, etc. Nigeria also has a robust private sector. There's nothing that it can't build but the government is always in the way. Imagine the Nigerian government is still building hotels and factories when there are hoteliers and factory owners who just need a between regulatory framework to prosper and spread. Imagine every state government will come with it's 'transport scheme' where they run a bus company. All of this is confusion. Instead of making the situation more ideal to run a bus company, you now bring your own to drive down prices for entrepreneurs. Now they are building 'fly over' to show you that they are 'a good governor' when when the flyover is unnecessary. Building is also the source of corruption as contracts are the #1 way to steal money in plain sight. Building is done by technicians and experts. When you vote, you vote who whoever you like on a ballot. Nothing is to say they are trained builders, or planners. You just pick the person with the best leadership skills (ideally) who can get the right people to do the right work. So this type of system is not a system you rely on the build, but rather to administer and lead. Governors should not be commissioning projects they have no expertise in, then we get upset when the thing fails over and over without looking at the root issue. Umahi is an engineer, so he focused on engineering. If the best candidate after him is a teacher, should he also be engineering? What are his odds of success. So rather, you have the private sector build while gov administers and regulates. Development is not what you think it is. There are 0 government build buidlings in the picture below. Someone should not leave their job of governing and begin engineering, starting businesses, launching airlines, building housing estates etc. 2 Likes

Ofodirinwa:America has had very bad administrators and managers but it didn’t stop the progress and development of the country because the country has already been built over the years and yet they are still building and yet you expect a state with almost absent infrastructure to be administering without building? Administering what? Besides if you want Nigeria to depend on private sector to build do you think they will leave built up areas like Lagos to build in say Ebonyi? Govt will build for private sector to come in https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infrastructure_Investment_and_Jobs_Act |
