How does adding 50K persons to the army take away from their recruitment source when there are still over 50 million youths on ground for Boko Haram to harvest armies from?

It's like you have a full plate of rice at your front then I say I want to starve you by removing five grains from it.

Is every youth in Nigeria working with Boko Haram? Is every unemployed youth interested in joining criminals? Those that want to join no one will stop them, Only those who join crime out of desperation and are interested in the military will join

Its only when we are able to have security that businesses will run and create employment to absorb the other willing who the military cannot take.

We both know that this disclaimer put forward by his spin doctors to cover is gaffe is even more foolish then the original quote which the senile bat made.

50k recruitment will rarely make a dent in an insurgency that has grown and swallowed whole local governments and established provinces.

There is no way to cover his rotten nyash. 50 million youth recruitment is a very stupid statement. 50 thousand youths is also a very stupid statement because it would need at least 4 times that for a difference to be made. Anyhow you look am, the man still has no plan. When you now add the fact that the man is CONSTANTLY talking about people eating only cassava, ewa, garri. You see that this man has nothing upstairs.

Was it mentioned in error or he just didn't know what he was saying? I included the context of his speech to show it wasn't like some slip of the tongue.

“Recruit 50 million youths into the army, take away from their (the insurgents)recruitment source,” he said.

If Nigeria has a 50 million-man army that's pretty much its entire youth population, Boko Haram and all other insurgents are automatically starved of recruits. The insurgents are defeated and so is every other aspect of the Nigerian state.

There is a certain logic to what Tinubu said, it's the consequence that wasn't thought out.

My brother reason this matter now. It is highly impossible for any country on earth to have a military of 50 million active members. That's a recipe for chaos!. Even the best militaries in the world have less than 10% of that number, not to talk of ours having half of the entire youths in the army. The man spoke without thinking. It's expected. He is senile and old.

50K youth recruited into the army is 50K youths denied BokoHaram, ESN, Bandits and other petty criminals

Tinubu said he had a slip of tongue and used 50K instead fo 50M. So what exactly is the problem

First of all, who told you that only very poor people or potential criminals seek entry into the army? I know some people who enter the army as ranked officers.

Secondly, Boko Haram is a regional problem, it is very unlikely that an ijaw man would ever join Boko Haram. So is he advocating recruiting the 50 thousand youths only from those regions?
Thirdly, 50k would hardly put a dent in the militaries efforts, moreso an underfed one eating only cassava and corn.

Your spinning of narratives can't work. Try another.

What do you have to say about Ghana's imminent debt default. I was looking at some data yesterday and you guys Debt to GDP is one of the highest in the world at 85%.

Infact your 5 year CDS spread is around 21%. The future economic outlook of your country is really bleak and this is putting it mildly.

Interesting how you are most worried about our political dynamics

Bros, own it with your full chest that you are supporting a full fledged criminal to lead your country. Own that shit up. You want a man with an unknown identity as your president. Own it!

Who has said only poor people join military? Youths who d not have a job and are interested in joining the military, the process would be made easy for them

If you choose not to understand I cannot help you. Some youths who don't want to go to crime, after seeking jobs for many years and cannot get will be enticed into a life of crime. I believe this is basic logic

The image below are youths who went to write the immigration recruitment test which some died. You mean many of these ones wont join the army if given an opportunity? The same youth who are dying in immigration job recruitment will not join the military?

Boko Haram and insecurity is no longer restricted to a region it has spread and grown branches in the form of ISWAP, Bandits, herdsmen. A variation of it is growing in the south

Nigeria currently has bout 200K in its military. you mean adding 50K to it which is increasing the strength by 25% in a short term will not make a dent?

Its funny how people come on the internet to make fun of eating cassava and corn which is the staple food of most families in Nigeria. Maybe you all live in VGC and eat only Gourmet 3 course meals daily. That will explain turning your nose to cassava and corn

I am concerned about both because I have deep roots in both countries.
I am not one who defends politicians because I know our systems are still playing catch-up to advanced systems but I can tell you that Nana has delivered more than Buhari despite both starting just 2 years apart and both deposing the ruling parties. Ghana's economic problems are really brought upon by the COVID pandemic and the present war.

Nigeria has been in 2 recessions since Buhari took over. I care about both and I can tell you that despite Ghana's problem, the people's confidence remains firm in the government because people can see successes of previous government policies that has attracted international attention to the country than ever seen before. Multiple global firms are setting up in Ghana, our international image is actually good, hence the IMF agreeing to still lend to us while the government set up new tax avenues, So we can understand the economic troubles for now. Same cannot be said for Nigeria my host country.

To add to your point. Now that bread is expensive in 9ja. Cassava bread is another alternative although it still needs wholewheat

This actually reminds me that successive Nigerian govt have always driven increased production of Casavva as a supplement

Portable's problem is his mouth, he talks damn too much ; like he feels if he doesn't talk in a day he will stop being relevant. He just jumps in front of camera and talk himself into trouble from time to time. That was how he threatened he will harm whoever collects headies award in his stead.

Unfortunately for him, the people who should manage him were all out to just exploit him so he has sent most of them away, he's left with those they smoke and do drugs together.

Sooner or later he will run into trouble with that his mouth.

As long as he's being logical and factual, there's no qualms.

It's interesting how you guys have an opinion of world sociopolitics; of Israel, the Middle East, the U.K., the U.S. and beyond. It's interesting that the dynamics of the political dynamics in those climes are discussed by us but you are projecting a veiled xenophobia on him for having opinions about Nigerian politics which are in the public domain.

And even more so, what affects Nigeria would shake the West African subregion. He's right to be very concerned about what happens in Nigeria.

The world is a global village - it's not your place to tell people what sociopolitical issues to comment on.
