I understand If I got somebody like haaland I would be happy too. Why is Silva being linked with barka? Because haaland need all the service he can get from Kevin and him to be a success in the premier league. How those guys even saw money for transfers is surprising. . They have surprised everybody.
Bernardo is not going anywhere.

I hope we get Barca and Chelsea. I wan see how Mane will fare vs Koulibaly, Lewy vs Neuer and Muller vs Pique

The last two times Bayern was able to beat Chelsea was when they played with Chelsea's academy players. Before then, Chelsea had won 2 out of 3 matches against Bayern. The most important one being at their backyard where Chelsea beat them carry UEFA cup. Chaiiiii grin

Falcao rather not Forlan. My mistake.
Lol, falcao?

Someone who was past his prime after he left athletico for Monaco?
Flopped at Monaco first stint
Flopped at Man u

When you talk of world class player, you talk of WC players at their prime when you signed them.

Me as an arsenal fan, I can't claim to sign present Marcelo and claim to sign world class player since he's past his prime.

ever wondered why he doesn’t go into tackles ? His 1v1s are not good and he knows. I like how he’s adapted to running away . It helps his team after all because they chase back like dogs

2012 FIFA world 11. Joined Chelsea in 2013. Yet Falcao wasn't world class, right?

Falcao past his prime after he left Athletic in 2013? A year after he made FIFA world 11?

Flop or not, was he a world class player before joining Chelsea? It's like saying Messi is not a world class player because he flopped at PSG. grin

Age!? What has age got to do with being an academy player? grin

Even if they were 50 years old, the facts still remain Bayern played against Chelsea's academy players. grin

Of course, we had hope as we saw our small boys yeyeing the agbayas. The next season saw why we stuck to them as they won us UEFA cup. grin

Since age has nothing to do with it
So Bayern too can call 30yr old Muller an academy player or 28yr old Alaba an academy player

Lol, person wey Monaco loan for 2 full season, even giving Chelsea loan with option to buy yet Chelsea refused to buy him after the loan. At man u I think he was even demoted to their youth team.

Like I said, he wasn't a world beater when man u and Chelsea (esp the latter). You can call his ACL injury as the issue but that doesn't negate the point

He made FIFA 11 in 2012 na when athletico won Europa plus super cup.

Had an average season in 2013 at Monaco no thanks to ACL injury. Flopped a whole year at man u that he was demoted. You guys loaned him as a flop with an option to buy yet you guys still didn't activate the option. Still flopped in Chelsea

To the bolded, I dunno how he was WC in his prime when you loaned him after flopping at man u sha grin

At least Messi wasn't a flop at Barca the season he was moving to PSG. Falcao was grin

BlueAngel444:
To get an idea of how much and for how long Sterling had been open to a new challenge, it is worth acknowledging that he sat down with City officials last autumn and asked for a loan move, knowing that Barcelona had been interested in his services.

City would have been happy in principle to extend his deal beyond its expiry in 2023. As it was, that scenario coming to pass had felt less and less likely over the past 18 months.

Retreat, briefly, to early 2021 when, with two and a half years to run on his contract, the club had first floated the idea of an extension. The player had recently split with his agent Aidy Ward, the man who had smoothed that controversial £49 million move from Liverpool in the summer of 2015, and asked for time to put some personal affairs in order — a request City respected.

In the ensuing months, Sterling became less of a regular fixture in the City side. Having been one of Guardiola’s go-to men during back-to-back Premier League winning seasons in 2017-18 and 2018-19, he had quietly slipped down the pecking order, much to his frustration. There was an exchange of views with Guardiola before a game against Southampton at the Etihad Stadium, with Sterling’s name conspicuous by its absence from the starting line-up.

After that match, which the hosts won 5-2 with Sterling unused off the bench, Guardiola sent a veiled message via the press. “The players who help me a lot this season I will rotate less,” he said. “The rest will be on the bench.” Sterling was left out of the squad altogether for the next fixture, a comfortable win at struggling Fulham.

At that stage, Guardiola had established nine or 10 go-to players for the biggest games, whether domestic or in European competition, and what was effectively a second string who would play when the first-choice players needed a rest. Sterling suddenly belonged to the latter.

(After reading this, you remember that pep has always been vicious when he chooses to be.)

Indeed, had a significant offer been lodged with the club last summer, Sterling’s stint in Manchester might have ended.

Barca had lodged an enquiry, establishing interest to prompt that subsequent conversation about a loan move. But over the course of the autumn, the Catalan club had changed tack and, instead, moved for Ferran Torres, another player dissatisfied with life on the fringes of Guardiola’s squad.

Sterling had worked his way back into the City team by then and was the Premier League player of the month for December — the only City player to win the award last season. That upturn in form and fortunes provoked some talk that he was ready to put pen to paper on a new deal after all, though sources close to him insisted he was acutely aware that injuries and COVID-19 had offered him that swift route back into contention. He knew a truer indication of his standing in the squad would come later in the season.

Once again, he ended up deflated at his level of involvement.

We don hear!
Soon, when he start behaving like a brainfart converting 1 out of every 10 chances, na stick we go take chase am comot grin
