Morning gurus in the house. Please the program I want to apply for a post graduate degree is a 1 year course. Will I be able to request for a work permit or permanent resident after completion? Cause have been hearing only 2years and above are qualified for that. @anon @johnstan |

Hello everyone it is no longer news that the Police character certificate been issued by Nigerian police for study or travel permit has just been increased from the usual 5k it use to be, to 40k Please let's join others to call for the reversal of such absurd increment via the link below. Especially in a period like this where most Nigerians are been hitted by hardship. Thank you as you do so. https://chng.it/B5mXb66Hfb |

PERVERTKAP009: Yes you can, however, be sure to check that it's really up to a yr or more than 8 months then you will be qualified for 1 yr pgwp. Courses above 1 yr will grant you 2-3 yrs work permit. |

Good morning house, please I applied in march and there has been no update since biometric and medicals updated in march. Eligibility review has not started. Is there anything I can do ?? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by johnstan(m): 8:35am On Jul 19, 2022 |
Fred98: Based on feedback from others I've read here, it's best you mail them and send a web form as well. If I'm not mistaken your application is over 12weeks (3 months). Good luck |

Good morning, Nairalanders. This is my first post here, and I just had to make it after reading other people’s comments about their study visa application. I must say this has been the most nerve wracking moment of my life. I really wish I came across this forum much earlier before I started my application. I submitted my application 2months ago, May 20th 2022. I had my biometrics done prior because I had applied for a visitor visa before. Eligibility review started June 30th and I have been waiting for the medical request. I didn’t think I could do an upfront medical exam anymore since I had already submitted my application that was why I was waiting for IRCC to contact me. I have been freaking out lately because my school is resuming on the 8th of September 2022 (today is 19th July) and I feel I’m seriously running out of time to get this visa approved. Anyone also facing this same situation?? Any helpful advice from the experts on here would be very much appreciated. Thank you. 1 Like |

Thank you so much. Actually I have draft my sop for the same course. Can you help me review it to see if it's strong enough for my application. Anon123: |

Odyree: I can understand your anxiety, everyone is including me and it's not your fault. Firstly I would advise you go for your upfront medicals if you're yet to because for a permit longer than 6 months you will need it. Waiting to get the request before you go for the test and then waiting for it to be updated on your application is another time wasting away which you can save. Don't be hard on your self and be positive. It will end in praises for everyone of us. Good luck. 6 Likes |

Odyree:Don't wait for medical request, time is running out for you already. Book your medical and get it done asap. Send through webform and email to IRCC immediately and hope it gets updated within days... After that you should keep expecting PPR to drop. If you chose to wait for medical request, you don't know when it'll drop, and if it drops, think of how long before it'll be done and get updated. Recent timelines show that people with medical request wait for more than one month after medical has been updated before PPR dropped. 1 Like |

Good morning, Q life said they will send my medicals to IRCC, should I also go to the hospital and collect my medical result when it’s out and also upload it through webform ? |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by johnstan(m): 9:29am On Jul 19, 2022 |
SaniceSanice123: They will transmit it to IRCC within 5 - 10 business days thats within a week or two, however, you can still forward the medical e-information sheet/receipt you were given after your tests as a proof to them via mail or webform. You can mail QLife to request for your results, you don't necessarily need to go physically. IOM sent mine to me via mail. Good luck 1 Like |

Good day everyone, My school is set to resume September 6 and I've applied since may 14th and up till now still no ppr. My question is, is it a good decision to defer my admission to January as I have not gotten my visa yet. Please I need any advice I can get. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by jogojogo: 9:30am On Jul 19, 2022 |
Did n't they give you an E medical form when you did your test? Thats what you are supposed to upload SaniceSanice123: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by johnstan(m): 9:37am On Jul 19, 2022 |
Thisuserwanjapa: My opinion tho, the option to differ should be your next move within 2, max 3 weeks to your resumption date not 6 to 7 weeks before your resumption. Remember that once you differ you will be issued another LOA which you will now need to forward to IRCC to have as an updated information. Simply ensure you have done everything you're meant to do then send mails and webforms to them requesting for feedback and by his grace it will end in praises for you. 3 Likes |

Toceen2022: Sorry for the late reply. I've received a couple of interests in the room of late, so sorting through them. The room(one of a 2 bed) is $900 per month, fully furnished and with utilities. The move in date is September 1. And a male is preferred. 3 Likes |
