Yea, but it won't matter, especially now that the state is a PDP state. State elections are different from federal elections.

I mean, I agree with this but notice how it was not argued by the same PDP adherents concerning Osun. Rather, they saw APC losing there as a symbol of how the SW was not going to be a BAT stronghold. That was my point: they conveniently use a manner of thinking in a direction they are biased towards but get rigid when the tables are turned. Similar to how Ekiti was rigged but Osun was the people's choice even though both were conducted by the same Buhari led APC.
This wasn't the overall sentiment sha, APC won Ekiti, largely because of the strong candidate that was running under SDP.

I don't think that'd matter still, the two major political parties have always had candidates in all the states, hasn't stopped them from being beaten badly in certain states. Even without the Ademola factor, PDP/LP would have gotten votes still. APC is very unpopular in Nigeria today (whether it's a fair assessment of their performance or not, doesn't matter). The overall sentiment is people are tired of APC at the federal level and that will probably be Tinubu's biggest challenge in this election.

Labour just got less than 5K votes in Osun, I don't know how many votes in Ekiti. I doubt there is any state in Nigeria where APC will get such terrible numbers in a governorship

APC have governors in the NW who know their career is doomed with an Atiku presidency and they know they will still be relevant as long as APC wins even if its Tinubu and that positions them to ascend to presidency in 8yrs. These Northern APC governors were the ones who prevailed on Buhari to rotate to the South when Buhari was asking for courtesy of picking his successor which was Lawan
This is a factor but not as significant as you're making it seem sha, especially now that Tinubu did not pick from one of them as running mate. 8 years is a long time, and most of these governors you're referring to are already seeing out their 8-year tenure, by the time that 8-year Tenure is elapsing, there'd be sitting governors looking to vie for the presidency too.

APC would have won either way, cause I don't think SDP and PDP's numbers was up to APC's.

8yrs can also be short time in politics if you stay relevant

Tinubu that is contesting for Presidency has been out of governors seat for 16yrs,
Atiku that is contesting has been out of VP for 16yrs
Kwankwanso has been out of governors seat for 12yrs
Obi has been out of governors seat for 9yrs

yet they are the contestants in 2023

Demola Adeleke, how long ago was it when the rerun happened? 4yrs and it seemed like a few months ago. If you are not relevant it will be like youve been away for ages
Fashola has been gone longer than Ambode, Tinubu has been gone longer than Saraki
Obi has been gone from office longer than Sullivan Chime and Nnamani yet who are people talking about.

True, that's why they say Labour Party is the party without a structure grin, but that won't be the case in the presidential election. I'm sure you won't bet on their getting 5K votes in the coming presidential elections.

SW = Tinubu vs Atiku vs Obi

SE = Obi vs Atiku

SS = Atiku vs Obi vs Tinubu

NC = Tinubu vs Atiku vs Obi

NE = Atiku vs Tinubu vs Kwankwanso

NW = Tinubu vs Kwankwanso vs Atiku

That order is important as its from most favored to least favored. From left to right
Tinubu is first in 3 regions, Atiku is first in 2 regions, If Obi voters lose the ginger Atiku automatically becomes favorite in 4 regions and very competitive in SW. Obi's candidacy, being on the ballot and going into election with full belief he will win is very crucial for this election

I did not consider any candidate that will get less than 5% of votes
Which South South State will vote for Tinubu?
