Always eager to get it wrong in Nigeria. If you want more inclusion in election process , why prioritize the inmates(who already lost that grace and whose judgment of vying candidates may not be spot on) over the vast difference between registered voters and accredited voters during elections? Why can't inec reach out to convince those who already lost hope in the process through NOA?

Prisoners in prison who have been sentenced can't contest for president or governor of Nigeria so why should they vote. A person that has not left prison in 20years will definitely be forced to vote for the incumbent government to stand a chance to be free .Nigerians must never accept this malpractice our African leaders want to impose on Nigeria,a prisoners has been revoked of his right to freedom till his full prison term is completed or served and has no right to vote or be voted for into presidency or governor let's not let the illiterates controlling APC turn our educated minds to stupidity assuming all Nigerians are stupid to be kicked around like a leather ball and not know our democratic and constitutional rights

All of them are critically and chronically mad altogether. Mad people everywhere, prisoners will only follow the directive of the government officials on whom to vote for, they are looking for ways to truncate democracy in this country. What they are trying to avoid will soon happen, they can't stop the political revolution and storm that is coming. Apc o, Pdp and all other political parties, na all of you go see crazy.

What I just know that, Tinubu knew from beginning that his going to pick Muslim as running mate from the north just to get vote for selfish interest. At least they all saw the hand written. Why cant he go for dogara to balance the equation? They should have allow ameachi or osibanjo as candidate so that it will balance, or Lawal, so it will balance the equation. Buhari is using 8 yrs, if tinubu win, he will use 8 years, then they will now shift the power back to the north for another 8 years. Is this islamic nation?

Let us be realistic about this religion of a thing

Elections conducted in correctional facilities will easily be rigged in a country like ours. The ones done in open places are rigged, how much more in a restricted area like prison. Their votes will do the magic for APC. Most likely, counted last.
People, these are strategies APC has come up with. We want inmates to vote but let's say no until proper reforms have been done.

Those prison voting units may likely be rigging units... I hope they won't suddenly inflate the number of inmates in the cell or probably do a mass arrest of people to be put into the prisons and forced to vote for a particular party or candidate...

I'm just thinking ahead ni o because in Nigeria anything can happen....

I should be telling you this. Your post history proves that you are a sadist and suicidal. I'll be praying for you bro. You have my pity.

You that you should be pitying yourself and your family, Tinubu will be your president in 2023, and you will eventually hang yourself.
Re: Prison Inmates May Vote In 2023 - INEC by hotseat: 8:08am On Jul 20, 2022
Mamood Yakubu cited a High Court judgement in Benin City to support his stance on inmates right to vote.

He should be reminded that the ruling notwithstanding, there are serious security implications for the Correctional Centres as umpteenth attacks on such facilities have shown over the years.

Again, political intonations could be attributed to the present stance of the INEC as another ingenious device to rig the 2023 presidential election in favour of the ruling APC failed (mal)administration.

For now, the implementation of the rights of inmates to vote is not feasible.

INEC!

BE ADVISED!
