Therefore, like a guilty criminal, she can not show her face to God, for God is very very angry with her, as her destruction of mankind is still going on.

So she can not even come near God not to talk of showing herself.

Thus, the covering of herself is the mark of her shame and her acceptance that she knows that she is very guilty up to the extent that she knows that God should not see her.

So covering herself shows that she has made herself a small and low thing before God.
