Nicolas Pepe. Timo Werner.

Two players with world-class performances still left in them.

First and foremost, you can't put skillset just to the NT. If that skillset exist and its his selling point, then it should be what makes deals come his way.

What are you saying? This start is just totally off.

Zinchenko never played midfield role for Manchester City because of competition for the role. However, in his National team, he owns that role. This is simple logic. You can not bend it.

Kelechi Nwakali has a selling point as a deep-lying playmaker. However, it is difficult to breakthrough into top clubs because of high competition for the role.

The point is so simple and what you are writing here has no relationship to the point.

How many deep lying playmakers do we have in the Super Eagles today? We have cried about this a lot. Haba.

Then for the national team, he is not indispensable. He can't be getting call ups ahead of players in much much better leagues cos of just skillset. This is the national team.

This is also totally off.

Why do you think Ten Hag is battling for Frenkie De Jong? Why do you think Sarri blocked the move of Jorginho to Manchester City? He wanted that deep-lying skillset and Jorginho ticked the box.

You have midfielders in much much better leagues. No one has ever argued that. The point is, how many of these much much better league players are deep-lying playmakers? None.

Are you going to force Ten Hag, Sarri, or Guardiola to play without deep-lying playmakers? How many coaches abandon their philosophies? That is why new coaches sign, and scout players. Your point is totally off tangent again.

He has a Dutch passport. And Dutch policies restrict folks from having dual nationalities except in few exceptional cases where it cannot be exempted.

Holland is not one of the EU countries that allow dual citizenship.

So Ehizibue switching to us means him renouncing his Dutch passport forever. A Dutch passport that gives him access to over 180 countries without visa unlike the Nigerian passport.... well, that's a kind of a dilemma don't you think? wink

but Ebuehi is Dutch too, did he ditch the passport for ours?

First, the hype ish is majorly down to mentions. He is mentioned here more as a messiah of sorts than due to his club issues. Pls, do tell me how that is not hype.

Easy with the excuse for why European clubs are not coming. That's hilarious. You're trying to make me believe that almost all clubs that turn eyes to him are avoiding him cos of his position or what?

FACT. It is difficult for even black players to hold deep-lying playmaker roles in top clubs.

No one tagged Nwakali Messiah in any way. We wanted someone who can play a deep creative role and he is just one of the few we have. That is not a hype but stating his quality.

Why we consider it hype, and rightly so, is cos we are making him look like the NT needs him more than he needs the NT.

The coach's tactics. The coach's tactics. Not the National team. If the coach does not want a deep lying playmaker, Kelz Nwakali will hardly get called up.

We are switching tactics to a more direct strategy. Most teams play us by sitting deep. So we are changing tactics to attack in a more direct fashion. So, wide players are less needed.

Also, preference. Alvarez offers a lot more with respect to supporting building play. Finally, high conversion rate. Haaland has good goal conversion rate to fit the direct play.

It's more than stating quality since his name has been mentioned here. Fact. If it is merely stating quality, then Onyeka and not Nwakali should ve getting the hype on here. Whether it's coach tactics or not.

Lol. So since its all about blocks, who is blocking him from getting good deals?

I wonder who is off right now.

See what you're doing just to attribute credence to Nwakali.... downplaying other players with style. This guy must be the new messi or pirlo

Still back to selling point. Let me use same Zinchenko against your angle-Is that not a fact of versatility rather than opportunity? Does Kelz has such that it makes him such a hard one to ignore? Saka is another example of versatility. If that is all he has and it's making him go down the ladder, he should upgrade. Infact many of our midfielders in the NT are versatile. Deep playing since. I don taya abeg. He's not the only one around. Little messi okoro sef no reach this one.

I do not get you.

There are loads of deep-lying playmakers in Europe. Loads.

Manchester City - Rodri
Chelsea - Jorginho (Kovacic to an extent)
Arsenal - El Neny and Xhaka
Liverpool - Thiago Alcantara
Tottenham - Hojberg
West Ham - Declan Rice

It goes on like that to lower leagues. So, the competition is much and Nwakali needs to build himself to try to break in.

Come on, you must understand the point.

You are just over the place. If you want to talk of versatility, systems also play a role. By the way, Saka is not a deep-lying playmaker and has no relationship with the point.

The point is simple. Deep creative role is highly competitive. Finito.

We should ease off on the coach a bit. The players stopped training because of backlogs of bonuses. It had a chance it would affect the team.

We need to fix our administrative efforts.
