What of other cancers? Prostrate cancer is on a serious rise , who's going to educate us? I got to know little about it cus I got close to a case of a benign one. Why are men not considered in this society of ours. Is beginning to annoy me, the other day, a friend was sad cus he lost a MALE friend to Cancer of the bone marrow, a MALE friend |

Breast cancer should be taught in schools, I agree. But the ecosystem, market products, foods, technologies in Nigeria and our negligence on a lot of things is way more beyond this intervention. |

We are becoming experts in passing bills and letting them rot afterwards. I’m not really excited about the scaling and passing of bills till the effect of already passed ones is felt positively. Too much theatrics for this corntree. |

Ussycool: Also have a relative here in the UK, she is a postgraduate student and it has been confirmed after some tests, she has fibroids by the consultant gynaecologist and a surgery had been scheduled for 1st August but she requested it be shifted to October, so she can concentrate on her dissertation though the consultant gynaecologist said it will be done within 10mins and she would be discharged same day, that she can also resume work after 24hrs. Even the consultant anaesthetist called her thing morning as part of the pre operative assessment, which was aimed at preparing her mentally for the surgery and how the consultant anaesthetist would help her manage the pain throughout her short stay in the hospital. I believe your mum would get good treatment, the earlier the better. 1 Like |

Yup... supported. They need to know at the very early age . Home economics should be introduced into Senior Secondary curriculum too. It'll serve as handwork to those who couldn't further to tertiary. |

As of 2021, over 11000 women were diagnosed with cervical cancer yearly The mortality rate is around 50% if I am not mistaken. These were peoples' moms, wives, daughters, sisters, and friends. There is a need to stop this menace, and I believe the OCI foundation is doing the right thing. I want to believe that many of us are in support of saving the lives of our women. We rise by lifting others. https://www.globalcitizen.org/en/content/what-to-know-about-cervical-cancer-nigeria/ |
