Very typical. They do it a lot. Nothing to worry, yours has already been considered as well. No one understands why the dependants often get theirs before the main applicant lamjer: |

I don’t quite agree on the 99.9% refusal. If you have genuine reason and especially if it’s not at the end of your program your chances are good By the way only London office is operating consular services currently whilst Belfast isn’t. JennyBay: |

Segun889: I wrote 99.999% which means there is still 0.001% chance of securing visa. The applicant can try his/her luck on it. The rule is that: US VO knows that you have a limited stay in UK, thus, he/she would prefer to refuse the visa as every applicants are entitle to 2 years US visa. For that reason, the VO might think you will return to US after your study/program in UK or you prefer to stable your study/program in the eye and stay in US. There are still chances to secure the visa, but visitor route is not the way. The applicant should think for better chance. Mind you those VO also knows about the tsunami of leaving Nigeria. Please for every prospective Japa friends always have something to offer the develop country to maintain greater chance of visa. 2 Likes |

Many thanks for the responses to my previous post. Please which TLS centre has the least traffic? I want to apply for a UK Visa and I am looking for dates in July. Also, do I need to stamp my bank statements or I can just download the statements via internet banking platform and submit? Thanks. |

[quote author=ekpotek post=11504090 There is an option on TLC to keep your passport. If you have planned international travel within the next 6 months choose this option, when booking biometric appointment as there is no guarantee your passport will come out as expected. [/quote] |

You both are getting this thing wrong, granted we've been told about long delays due to the Ukrainian crisis, but it becomes extremely worrisome when you begin to read about someone in the same visa category with you and who submitted almost 3 - 4 weeks after your own submission receiving collection mails while you're still waiting That exactly is where is the worries lie. kod161: |

truffle:I’ll like to disagree elderssss. Based on the stated 100 to 150k income + full sponsorship your chances look low. They’ll expect you to have some stability in Nigeria and something that will surely make you abandon the UK to return home. Do you have travel history? Do you have anything particularly tieing you to Nigeria as your job circumstance is not fantastic and you are single. Work on other ties, until you hold something tangible hold on. 1 Like |

Segun889: Thank you very much, I’m just worry and at the same time I don’t want to get worry because there’s no way they will give the dependants and then refused the main applicant but damn I’m still paying % to those I got POF from, so I don’t know if I can remove the money from my account, can I ? |

Please did you read the part where I stated that my mum’s application is involved in this? She has done biometric since 24th May but no decision had been made. This is just a renewal that shouldn’t take more than a month, with other countries valid visa on her passport. That said, I have a friend who applied for her tier 2 for more than 8 weeks and she is yet to get it. (We are both in the uK) and all her travels are canceled cos she can’t leave the country during this period. It is not the same person that is responding to all applications, hence the reason why some people get it on some days why others that you apply together won’t get it. Does it call for anxiety? Yes. Should you be worried? Yes. But what can you do? You can send paid mail from now till next year, they will only do what they will/ can do. I agree that there could be internal glitch or other issues but we don’t know what the reasons are. The best we can do is to be patient. Or what do you suggest that we do? Sue them? Or call them out? If you are in dire need of your passport, you may send a cover letter to them and tell them you need the passport back asap. But there is nothing we can do than to be hopeful and wait for their decision. I am worried too cos my mum’s renewal application is pending and it’s two months and counting…. 2 Likes |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Jbab: 10:17am On Jul 25, 2022 |
MercyBA: Your chances depends on your job description, monthly income, status in Dubai, the documents you present, etc. is your monthly salary in the UAE above the Dubai average wages standard? These are the factors that determine your chances not converting your Dubai salary to Naira. 1 Like |

Segun889:Most times if it's renewal for student visa they often verify from school as to current situation of African students, and punctuality.. granting dependant's visa is based on their assumption that likely awaiting positive feedback from appropriate institution or foreign ties. There are cases where main applicant get denied due to poor performance or grades. (So they process visa to dependant more quicker than the main applicant) because the dependant can't travel without main applicant statues approved and even if they do, they can get turned back at POE, if reasons of coming is not ascertain. Dependant's permit is different from study permit..those barcodes on vignette reveals every thing for the Border Immigration. 1 Like |

JennyBay: My first US visa application was as a student in the UK after submitting my dissertation. It's distasteful to assume that people want to illegally migrate. OP just have a justified reason for your trip; by justified, I mean it could be anything. I was going on a vacation and could show that I had a vacation plan. 1 Like |

Visa Alert 6-months Visit approved. Biometrics: May 26, 2022 Ikeja Passport ready for collection: July 22, 2022 Passport delivered via courier: July 25, 2022 Mum is a first-time traveller to attend graduation ceremony of her son for July 15, 2022. Her visa is valid from July 18, 2022 - so, it was still approved after her planned date of visit had passed. Also, during the application - we observed that her bank account statement was a “mess” with explanation of many deposits highly unexplainable cause she uses it for business, trading etc. We then opted against uploading her bank account statement at all - with 2 of her children serving as sponsors. Some of the documents uploaded include; Return flight tickets Tenancy agreement in UK for her son in the UK Cover statement Letter of Invitation from school for graduation Bank statements, proofs of employment (Payslips, letter of introduction from employer) from one of the sponsors. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Dear Customer Thank you for your Visa Application which has arrived at the UKVI Decision Making Centre and is now awaiting consideration: Depending on the service you purchased, we aim to process: - Super priority visa applications the day after biometric submission - Priority visa applications within 5 working days of biometric submission - All other visa applications within 15 workings days of biometric submission* Please be aware that due to extremely high demand, standard UK visitor visas are taking significantly longer than usual to be processed by UK Visas and Immigration, you should bear this in mind when making any bookings. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience to all affected customers and we are working to process all applications as soon as possible. You will be contacted by the Visa Application Centre when your passport is ready for collection. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been invited to do so. *Please note the above about current processing times and extremely high demand. We strongly recommend that you do not buy a non-refundable, non-flexible ticket to the UK, until your visa application has been approved and you have received your documents. If you enrolled your biometrics at a US Dept of Homeland Security Application Support Centre (ASC) then the processing time on your application will start as soon as we receive confirmation from the New York Scanning Hub that your supporting documents have been received and uploaded to our system. If you attended a VFS Premium Application Centre (PAC) then the processing time starts on the day you enrolled your biometrics. Please refrain from contacting the enquiry service within the processing times. You will be contacted again when your application has been considered. If anyone else contacts you advising that your application is still under consideration or that they can influence the outcome of your application in any way, they cannot - please report any such approach to UKVI at https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-outside-uk. Good day to you all, How do I get my refund from TLS? I have a pending refund from a booking I cancelled in May and I am yet to hear from them. I also want to cancel the keep my passport service I booked recently because my travel date is in less than 5weeks and I am increasingly uncomfortable with this option. I have also cancelled the trip I needed the passport for so I do not require this and need to know if anyone can advice on the modalities for a refund. What do I need to do please? Biometrics is scheduled for 27th July. Re: last refund request for the same service, I completed the form indicating all info but I am yet to get an acknowledgement from them. Is this what they usually do? |
