Basic Phrases

Hola - Hi
Por favor - Please (Cue: for favour)
Gracias - Thank you (Cue: Graces)
Saludos - Greetings
Bienvenido(s) - Welcome
perdona - Excuse me (informal)
perdone - Excuse me (formal)
Lo siento - I am sorry (lo siento literally means I feel it, it's from the verb "Sentir" which means "to feel".
Mucho gusto - Nice to meet you (literally "much gusto"
muchas gracias - thank you very much (cue: much thanks)
Hasta luego - See you later (cue - halla later)
Hasta pronto - see you soon (cue: pronto means soon)
Disculpa - Excuse me (when someone is on your way, or you want to ask a question)
Disculpe - Excuse me (formal)
Vamos - Let's go (Sometimes you may hear Vámonos, means same thing)

Asking Questions in Spanish
You have to use double question marks when we are asking a question - one before the statement and another at the end (the usual way).

¿Como estás? - How are you?

Same thing goes for excla.mation

¡Qué guay! - How cool!
