if you have studied in the nigerian tertiary institution you will understand why ASUU should remain in strike, it is not just about the staffs welfare, the needed infrastructure to run institutions are not there. ASUU cannot admit more than 100 students per department because of staffs capacity and capability and infrastructure. how do you expect 1 or 2 lecturers to handle a class of more than 500 students from other departments? science lab tools and computer equipments are not functioning if present, a lab class that 100 students wants to use can only contain 10 for a class of 1hr. how can other students use the lab in the same hour and then go to their next class. accomodations are rarely available for students, in an institution of more than 12,000 students barely 200 can get depleted accomodations and the rest have to struggle with time and transportation. national companies cannot subsidize students welfares in the form of scholarships and training so students have to work extra hours to settle bills. after all the frustration you expect ASUU to produce world class students. clap for yourself
