See what the Lord has done This journey that started like a joke has finally come to an end. Ran into an old school mate mid-2019 and she encouraged me to give the Canadian journey a try (thank God for friends that push us). Was supposed to write IELTS in March 2020 unfortunately on the day of my test, British council sent an email saying all tests were postponed due to COVID. IELTS (Self & Spouse ) August 15th,2020 ITA - SEP 2020 AOR - DEC 2020 RPRF request - FEB 2021 (We were already happy here cos RPRF request was supposed to mean, your application is almost concluded) Long Silence Remed, PCC & Schedule A request - Feb 2022 Medicals Passed - March 2022 PPR email - May 25th 2022 Sent passport via DHL to Accra - June 22nd Arrived at VFS - June 24th Received passports - July 18th Good luck to all those still on the journey and thank you to everyone who shares here. I literally learned most of what to do about our application, how to tackle IELTS etc from this platform. May Canada favor all of us. I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living (Canada). 33 Likes |

Good day everyone. Please I received a refusal letter today due to an error from IRCC. I recently had a newborn and I formed IRCC to that effect via the web form. I received the automated reply that they would reach out to me. They did reach our and asked that I upload the passport biodata of my new born which I don't have yet. I reached out to them via the web from to ask for an extension and was expecting to hear from them that the extension had been granted. But to my surprise yesterday, what i did receive was a refusal letter yesterday stating that i did not provide the passport page requested before the stated deadline and did not communicate with them either for an extension which i did. I have sent another web form this morning explainingthis and also attached the automated email i received on the day I asked for an extension. ( it was not my first time asking for an extension regarding any document that I needed time to provide, the last being my spouse's renewed passport biodata which took forever. I was granted the extension for my spouse so Im no novice with their web form). Kindly advice me what other steps I can take to rectify this because starting the application from scratch due to IRCC's error is not an option for me. Looking forward to your kind contributions. Thank you. |

They also have a partner company that works to help incoming students like you... and their contact phone number is right there on your schools' website... https://www.centennialcollege.ca/student-life/student-services/housing-options/off-campus-housing/ https://www.centennialcollege.ca/student-life/student-services/housing-options/ |

Payment in cash is not against the law.if you have the payslips, send it and also add a cash salary certificate from your employer.I was also paid in cash for a job 11 years ago and I sent salary certificate, the other job I did after, I provided bank statements showing salary payment..I don't think this is an issue. Sorry about the refusal! I will encourage you not to lose hope! If you know your VO, message them directly with the dates and details of the web form you created and evidence that you have applied for the passport if you have that. My sister’s application was refused in May, and she got PPR this month after it was reopened. In her case, her VO was Ottawa, and these were the addresses we emailed CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca ircc.cio-brcd.ircc@cic.gc.ca Ircc.dndgo-bdgrn.ircc@cic.gc.ca Osc-cso@cic.gc.ca Cpr-ott-caseprocessing@cic.gc.ca cpcedmenq@cic.gc.ca Vanillawafers: 3 Likes 1 Share |

I am so sorry that this happened to you. I think that you should also send an email to your VO (if you know where that is). But if you don’t, send an email to all the VOs you have an email address of. Vanillawafers: 1 Like |

Vanillawafers: Pls do as Charity and Radeke have said. *Send the email multiple times a day until you get a response. Include other VOs and any other IRCC addresses you can find. *In your emails, clearly detail what you told us above and include timelines e.g. IRCC request for baby passport on June 1, responded on June 7. Include the fact that hubby had the same request and you asked for extension using the same means.....provide his own timelines. *In your mails, attach evidence of your email request for extension and/or evidence of the webform submitted (e.g. the auto response to webform). *Be prepared to contact a lawyer for judicial review in case they do not respond to you within a few weeks. You have 60 days from refusal date to file with the court. You can use this as a plan B or do it now if you want to be aggressive. I am hopeful they will reconsider and do the right thing very soon but don't let an admin error slide like that, borrow to do judicial review if you must. I pray they respond to emails quickly. Vanillawafers: So sorry about the refusal. When you said they got in touch with you, I guess it was an ADR sent to your account right? If yes, it'd have come with a placeholder where you should attach the requested document. Here is where i feel the problem arose from, you said your "reply to them was via filling of webform". This usually take time for them to "see". They would have been looking out to get your response through the means they reached out to you within the specified period. However try follow the advice given here so far, that you should mail your VO or all their contacts, showing prove that you sent them the document. So that they can temper justice with mercy. 1 Like |

get salary certificate and add to your payslip....if your documents are genuine then give yourself peace of mind... But don't you have any recent work experience in the last 5yrs that you can use instead of 8/10yrs ago Dennyjuff: |

Please I need help. My husband seized my Visa and COPR so I’m unable to travel. I am heavy and due to travel in August with my ticket already booked. He has travelled already and he took my passport with visa and my COPR and cut off communication with me. He never even allowed me see the COPR cos he had his plans so now I’m stranded in Nigeria and need help on what to do. Please how do I go about retrieving these documents from IRCC? A little background: The marriage has been filled with serious emotional abuse from my husband mainly because I was added to his Canadian EE application. He willingly added me just after we got married and this somehow delayed his getting PPR as it took over 2 years before it finally came. I have seen hell in this 2 years with him constantly blaming me for the delay, then he would accuse me of not being submissive and appreciative of the sacrifice. He threatens me with divorce all the time saying I'm not submissive and he cannot take a woman he cannot control to Canada. Repeatedly tells me he made a mistake marrying me. He tells me no man can ever do what he did for me. That most men will not add their partner to their application and that I'm supposed to be worshiping him. Note that I had to bear all the financial requirements for everything concerning my own. 5 Likes |

When you say seized your visa and COPR, I’m assuming this also means your international passport isn’t it? If that’s the case, you can report him to both the Nigerian authorities and the Canadian High commission. NO ONE a has a right to hold your passport except you. So him seizing and running off with your passport is a criminal offence. Sorry about the abuse and other things you had to endure but other than an official complaint and report, there isn’t much to be done regarding that now. However, please start by reporting this. He is not the first person to add a spouse to an application so that is absolute gutter behaviour on his part. If I were in your shoes and he doesn't want me in Canada after all the time and financial sacrifices I’ve made too, then I’ll make sure he’s inadmissible as well. End of story. Goodluck and I hope God ‘touches his heart and brain’ to do the right thing before this whole thing is ruined for you both. grasiouso: 13 Likes |

Pateda26: Valid point, if there was a request letter and placeholder. For those coming behind: * If there is a placeholder (which will usually be the case for a request letter in your GC Key), use it, even if all you have is an LOE, then follow up with emails and webforms if you wish. * Webforms may not be a reliable form of communication where you need a time bound response. 1 Like 1 Share |

grasiouso: * Church mind will advise you to reach out to him any way you can (even if it's through his family). Ask him to urgently return your passport and COPR. Tell him plain plain that you will report him to IRCC if you do not get it within a week. Get the passport and travel to the city of your choice. * The alternative is to report him to IRCC without warning. The only concern is how will you prove that he has the passport & COPR? He could argue that it was left in Nigeria and you lost it! Sorry o. 7 Likes |

me thinks report to IRCC and see if COPR will be reissued. If yes, apply for new passport and declare old one lost/stolen then follow the advice bolded. cc @grasiouso GraciousWords: |
