Congratulations iamThej and everyone who has gotten ppr.
Lol grin cheesy I think I agree with that uOttawa part and I still made an inside joke with my friend about it because everyone I know who applied using the school didn’t pay any deposit, didn’t have an idea of nairaland and didn’t put a lot of effort but they all got approved.

It’s not too late to withdraw your application to Canada. Go ahead and withdraw and save yourself that stress. Some of us are too strong willed with Faith that can move mountains... I was expecting at the end to see you didn’t apply to Canada or you withdrew and applied to some other country... Our Grace is different! Thank you!!! God has settled it!!! What God cannot do does not exist

You really don't seem to understand what @Hafeez6948 was saying. If you do, you won't make this statement.

Just brief about my story

I started my studies online in September 2020 due to Covid-19 and in the same month applied for my Study Permit. I was denied the permit due to insufficiency of funds, but due to resilience continued my studies till date.

After putting together some funds and getting funding opportunities, I reapplied for the study permit the second time on the 30th of October, 2021 and since then I have not received any official feedback.

It is more than 8 months now, I have written to IRCC several times and it has always been the generic mail response. Last month I applied for Global Case Management System (GCMS) Notes and it states, "Based on the LOA, funds, and documents provided, PA appears to be a BF student."

Which means I am a bonafide Student, but till now I have not gotten my approval.

I have been praying, fasting, joining NSPPD prayer sessions, and enlisted pastors and colleagues to pray along with me for funding and approval. I have doubted God, broken, depressed, and at a point beer no dey even high me because prayers wasn't calming my mind down.

Nothing on this earth made any sense any longer. I was fighting everyone at work above all can you fight God?

I have still gone back to him, I am now 28 days into my fast and Saturday it would be nine (9) months since I reapplied for my Study permit.

So if it is about your faith in God IRCC would shake it, and make you doubt God. @Hafeez6948 is simply stating bitter truth. I had the option of heading to US and Australia even for PhD and I refused and choose Canada. See am nah, I am now going back and seeking for same admissions I ignored for the almighty Canada.

Omo you no go understand the feeling, we are all in this journey differently. I don't want to start stating the personal details of what I have lost cos I fixated my mind on Canada

Cheers and lets encourage one another on this journey it is not easy. The rich ones are not on nairaland nah calls them dey put

I went on bookings website and searched for an apartment around my school vicinity. They provide various payment options out of which I selected pay on arrival. Then they issued booking reservations and receipt.

Good day everyone,

As at last week I got an admission from centennial college, of which I was required to make a deposit of 2650 dollars.
It's been a week since I paid the deposit, but up till now I haven't gotten my acceptance letter.
The last time I heard from them was when I was sent a confirmation message with a receipt that my payment has been confirmed.
I already mailed them multiple times but didn't get any reply, please what can I do.

Hello did you later got your letter of acceptance and how long did it take to receive it. My nephew has also been waiting for acceptance letter for the past 22 days after paying tuition deposit to Ontario technology college. He has called several times they told him they will send it each time he call or send mail

I read this and made a silent prayer request. You are right, sometimes these things will actually test your faith. But God is too faithful to fail you and everyone who believes in Him. It will surely end well. You will look back and be grateful it did not work out at the time you wanted it cos you will be in a much better situation beyond your wildest imagination. You will testify because God never fails.

Honorable Nairalanders,

I have finally confirmed It's not a dream; it's real. It's PPR!!!!

Got a email notification from IRCC around 9:30 am on June 27 to check my mail for a message. Without delay and with my inner eyes raised to, and fixed on, he who lives in the highest heavens, I logged in to my portal. I scrolled up slowly as I didn't want to rush it. I saw "You have 2 messages" on my dashboard, my shaky heart was strengthened a bit because, from what I have noticed from people's posts on Nairaland, PPR often comes with it's twin brother, BVL. Yet I continued scrolling up in slow motion; lo and behold, it was PPR and its twin brother. Then I glanced at the "Final decision" section and saw "Your application was approved...". Guys! Only heaven could say how large my heart dilated in joy.

I needed to take the whole day to be sure I wasn't seeing a vision or having a daydream, and share with families and friends.

Further below you'll find my timeline. But before that, it may interest you to know that my application is quite unusual. And since I joined Nairaland, I haven't seen any one similar.

To give you an idea:

1) FIRST TIME APPLICANT (NEW PORTAL)

2) DID EVERYTHING MYSELF WITHOUT MUCH PRIOR KNOWLEDGE (submitted my application just about amonth after joining Nairaland)

3) 38 years old with very little or no secular work experience (there's a reason for that, though). Single, but not searching yet. lol!

4) Currently not working (though was doing an online course that is not even related to my prospective program - Master's in Philosophy)

5) As a logical follow-up of no.4, NO FINANCIAL/PERSONAL ASSETS declared ( there's a reason, though). Didn't submit any personal Bank statement; just my sponsor's. (People are refused visa on the basis of lack of financial/personal assets. But I got approval even without any; what God cannot do does not exist).

6) SPONSORED BY A MATERNAL UNCLE (Mum's immediate younger brother) living and working in the US as a medical doctor. (Third-party sponsored applications get up to 95 - 98% refusal; practically all approvals I've seen on Nairaland are either self-sponsored, spouse-sponsored, parent-sponsored). But I got approval; God too strong o. When he opens the door, no one can close it.

As you can see, what we call "red flags" abound. Plus a plethora of other imperfections i noticed in my application after I had submitted, as I got more enlightened following people's inputs on Nairaland. In fact, when I read people's refusal reasons and the watertightness of approved applications, I felt there was no need to keep deceiving myself. I never gave up trusting in God, though. Tell me, then, why we can't call this a miracle from the Most High.

TIMELINE

- Application Submitted - MAY 11

- Biometrics - MAY 12 ( Lagos)

- Upfront medicals done - MAY 9 ( didn't submit the information sheet with the application)

- Upfront medicals updated - JUNE 22 (after
sending the information sheet via webforms and emails to Nairobi, Lagos, Abuja, and London around mmid-June)

- Eligibility Started same JUNE 22

- PPR and BVL - JULY 27

Total duration of my application is therefore 10 WEEKS and 2 DAYS.

I'll come back to share the DOCUMENTS Submitted (They are not that much).

Some unanswered questions on this thread will find responses with my case.

If you no Sabi pray and trust in God, begin now de learn am. If you no believe sey miracle still dey happen, you don see am now. lol!

KINDLY NOTE, HOWEVER: each person's case is unique. I tailored my LOE and I believe honesty pays. Know your case and present a tailor-made application. No complications.

Going to UNIVERSITY OF OTTAWA. Someone told me amusingly that uOttawa visa applications are never turned down. lol! (Don't take this seriously, please). Na only God fit do the magic!

To be honest, I carry everyone here in my prayers. The Lord who did it for me will do it for each and everyone of you here trusting in Him. Rest assured of that. Thank you all for all your contributions on this thread. You'll surely smile soon, starting with the Fall session candidates because their case is more urgent. It'll surely end in praise!

I hope this encourages someone.

To be honest, I carry everyone here in my prayers. The Lord who did it for me will do it for each and everyone of you here trusting in Him. Rest assured of that. I wonder oooooooo...........most countries don forget COVID-19 but IRCC still blames the pandemic with this their generic mail just like one particular political party is still blaming PDP for current rate of dollar at N710 today.May God grant us our heart desires

Trailblazer21:
Hello good people of nairaland,

See the response I got from IRCC, please is this a generic response? Has anyone gotten this exact message? I’m tired. They requested medicals, I have done it and it has been passed, 1 week still nothing.

Why are they still blaming COVID 19?

Congratulations...it's a proof that what God cannot do does not exist......FAITH WAS YOUR PURCHASING POWER AND IT PLAYED OUT WELL.I sincerely rejoice with you trusting God to perfect mine and other applicants here.Congrats again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IamTheJ:

Your PPR is on the way. Your previous medical has expired. Requesting a new one means your application has been reviewed. Samething happened to me. I got request did it. After a week my PPR dropped. Medical is only valid for a year or so.
