For the most part of my years of marriage, my wife has continued to pull a coup on me every 28th of July.

Today, as usual, Nonye in connivance with family, friends and members of the Anambra State Executive Council pulled another birthday surprise on me.

I can only thank providence for yet another privilege of marking another birthday. I remember, in a special way, my age mates who have journeyed to the great beyond, and all those killed needlessly. It is my prayer that God accept their souls in paradise and grant us the grace to ensure that their death is not in vaịn.

I celebrate our lives. I celebrate our State. I celebrate providence. I thank you all for the good wishes.

I'll be proceeding to the Nigeria Correctional Service, Awka custodial centre where I will be celebrating with the inmates.

I am humbled by your outpouring of love.

SOLUDO @62: REDEFINING GOVERNANCE IN ANAMBRA STATE

The month of July remains a significant month in the Gregorian calendar. It is the month of birth of most outstanding world greats. It is also the month of birth of Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, Governor of Anambra State.



Soludo set forth at dawn on March 17, 2022 as the 6th democratically elected governor of Anambra State. One of his outstanding qualities as he pilots the affairs of Anambra State is his honesty and genuineness.



He has told the story as it is without deceiving anyone. He has also remained “single-minded”, irrevocably committed to his words and promises he made to Ndi Anambra. His word is his bond, his promise a debt. He walks the talk and the results are manifesting.



Soludo is a bold and courageous leader with a heart of compassion for the down-trodden. A man who will never spend a kobo of Anambra State money without asking how it will benefit the common man on the street. How it will impact positively on the lives of Ndi Anambra or what the people stand to gain. These are the hallmarks of a people’s leader which Soludo eminently represents.



As Governor of Anambra State and in just 100 days, Soludo has turned around the tables. Aside his modest and humble life style, Soludo has radically redefined governance in Anambra State in every sense of the word. He has demystified governance, making it simple, trendy, nimble and interesting.



He came on board and has gradually restored security, law and order in the State. He declared zero tolerance for criminality and drug abuse, boldly took the war to criminals masquerading as agitators in Anambra State. A breath of fresh air has been injected into the state. Ndi Anambra are beginning to feel a sense of security and sanity in the state.



He has successfully deployed direct Labour Intervention to rebuild the washout section of Onitsha-Enugu Federal Highway opposite Chisco Park at Onitsha as well as the Amansea section of the Enugu Onitsha Federal High way (entry section of Anambra).



He embarked on the de-silting of 1km of the Obodoukwu road, Okpoko to Idemili River end of the Sakamori storm water discharge. These are areas that were long abandoned.



He rehabilitated the water facilities at the State Secretariat for civil servants. Interestingly, the Secretariat has not had water running in the offices for over eight years.



He has also successfully launched the Agro-economic transformation hinged on Regenerative Agricultural Systems along the oil-palm and coconut value chains with the target of planting one million seedlings per annum.



Within a short period of assuming office as the 6th democratically elected governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo has totally redefined governance in Anambra State.



Ndi Anambra are feeling the positive vibes from Soludo’s people’s oriented government. As he clocks 62 years, we join the people of Anambra, family members and well-wishers to wish him many more years of glorious and excellent services to his fatherland and humanity.

As the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo marks his 62nd birthday anniversary today, 28th July, 2022, ndi Anambra has described him with many positive remarks.



While many see Governor Soludo as a gift to humanity and an inspiration to younger ones; others describe him as a great achiever given his accomplishments as he rose to the apex of his career at a very young age.



For the Anambra State Commissioner for Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Barrister Tony Ifeanya and his Health counterpart, Dr Afam Obidike, Professor Chukwuma Soludo is good governance personified haven been in his cabinet for the past few months.

For them, there is great hope for Anambra State with Governor Soludo, noting that he has true solution to the challenges facing the state.



The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Anambra Broadcasting Service, Chief Chido Obidiegwu, and his Anambra State Health Insurance Agency counterpart, Dr Simeon Onyemaechi in their submissions, said that Professor Soludo at 62 is worth celebrating in all ramifications.


They called on Ndi Anambra to continue giving him the needed support to enable him actualize a liveable and prosperous homeland in Anambra State.





Another stakeholder, Chief Jude Emecheta and the Chief Medical Director, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital, Amaku Awka, Dr Joe Akabuike said that Governor Soludo is an Icon and a brand everyone will want to identify with.


According to them, haven him at the helm of leadership in Anambra State at a time when the nation is at the worst economic situation is more than enough to celebrate and thank him.



They were optimistic that with his wealth of knowledge and experience, Anambra will not only survive the economic challenges confronting the nation, but will stand out as a case study.



They all prayed God to strengthen Governor Soludo, providing him with more wisdom and courage to continue his drive of making Anambra, green, smart, liveable and prosperous.

As the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, marks his sixty-second birthday today, Ndi-Anambra, residents of the state and people from various walks of life have been felicitating with him in diverse ways.



The Anambra State capital, to get people’s reactions reports that Professor Soludo, also known as Charlie Nwamgbafor, hails from Isuofia community in Aguata Local Government Area, and was born on the twenty-eight day of July, 1960.


The Professor of Economics and fifth democratically elected Governor of Anambra State, assumed office on seventeenth March, 2022.



Felicitating with the Governor, some traders at the popular Aroma junction Awka, Mrs Ngozika Agbo, Udochukwu Nnadi, Henry Anozie and Sussanna Adibe, described him as a blessing to Ndi-Anambra.


Others, including Moses Onunze, Promise Chibueze, Uchenna Ofor and Chinedum Onuoha, who are commercial vehicle drivers aand civil servants, appealed to the Governor to construct more roads, tighten security and provide more jobs for the youths.



Some Corp members under Drug Free Community Development Services also wished the Governor Soludo well and chanted birthday songs.



One of them, Mr. Peter Oyelami, thanked the Governor for the enabling environment to serve in the state.





The sixty-second birthday celebration of Professor Soludo is unique , as he marks it as the incumbent Governor of Anambra State.
