Good evening dear all,

Did my biometrics at VFS Lagos and planning to send my passport there tomorrow for visa stamping.

Please how do I send it from Port Harcourt? Is DHL the best plug?

In the consent form, who do I fill in as the agent/representative. DHL?

How long roughly will it take to get it back?

Time is of the essence. I do really appreciate your kind response.

Good evening,
Though I have tried to read as much as possible, but still need help.
Spouse got admission and we have now confirmed seat. We are gathering data and building SOP. Plan is for us all to go at once. Kids are above 9yrs

Please What is the next stage?
What visa type should we apply for kids and me?
How soon should we start as we hope to get SOWP before leaving Nigeria.
What type of medical and can we go ahead and do upfront medical?

I think spouse is Open work permit. But please gurus correct me if I'm wrong. for the kids I don't know if its Visit or study for less than 6 months. Please if anyone can help.

Good day house,

I can't pay my fees through form A to Georgian college , the school is saying I use Flywire and can't use Flywire due to CBN regulation have to go through form A, school hasn't provided me with Swift code, bank name, bank address, and account number so I can make payment, what do I do please, can't use black market it's 710, want to pay upto 18,000 CAD, the difference between official rate and black market is upto 4m it's too much

I'm paid to Georgian college using form A, go to flywire, generate an invoice, don't select naira, scroll down and select transfer through usd, the school's account details will display, that's the information you will use to fill your Form A

Congrats on the admission.

For your spouse - Study
For you - SOWP
For the children - Study

Once you are through with gathering your documents, you apply. There is no time frame.

It is advisable to do upfront medical but some people still wait for medical request, that's up to you.

Best of luck!

I doubt there are agents that sell CAD in Canada for Naira. But this trade of CAD to Naira and vis versa is common among Nigerian community groups on Whatsapp and Telegram.
You might join, and see who has CAD to sell for Naira. It is common. As at today via NS Whatsapp Group CAD is 485 per $1.
All the best.

Hi Thej,

Thank you so much for your response and congratulations.

Please if you don’t mind, can you share with me the template you used for the Sponsorship letter, affidavit of sponsorship, reference letter and sketch of family tree.

I’ll greatly appreciate it if you can do this, I can send you my mail if you’re not interested in sharing it on this platform.

Thank you and congratulations once again.

IamTheJ:
Hey MotolaniBolaji,

My application just got approved and I've shared my timeline. Exactly like your case, I'm also sponsored by maternal uncle in the US.

I didn't include 2 & 8, 4, 5 & 6. Though at a point I got worried i should have included 6.

I think 2 & 8 are okay as a proof of relationship. So go ahead and include them. I didn't have them that's why I didn't include them. But I sketched a maternal family tree (with passport sized photos) to show our relationship. In fact family tree was all included as proof of relationship. I don't have any pictures with him because we rarely see each other life.

Regarding no. 8, I included both. Affidavit of sponsorship must be NOTARIZED there in the US. He didn't notarize the Letter of Sponsorship/Reference Letter; he only signed it.

I included his 6 months Statement of account counting backwards from the month preceding my application month.

Then ensure that his account is fat enough to take care of your stay in Canada and his family, if he has wife and children.

In his Affidavit of sponsorship and Reference Letter, your uncle must indicate all his dependents (specifically wife and children). What helped my case also was that my uncle indicated his dependents, but made it clear that the wife was also a practicing physician there in the US and the children are attending school with no fees. So that means he's practically spending almost nothing on their education, which gave me an advantage.

However, I'll advise you to pray and follow your instinct. Include everything your mind tells you can boost your chances. Please let everything you include be genuine and verifiable because IRCC can go any length to verify your documents.

It'll end in praise!

@patrick tnx a lot; I'll talkt to him about NBCC.
Any other universities in Ontario?
Post Baccalaureate Diploma (Construction Management).

PatrickOkunima:

With that CGPA (2.84), I don't think he can get admission for masters in Canada. He can look at Colleges. The cheapest I know is NBCC.
